OCALA — Andrew R. Smith Sr., 76, a retired service station manager, died Friday, Oct. 13, 2000, at Munroe Regional Medical Center.
A native of Deemer, Miss., he moved here from New Britain, Conn., 43 years ago. Mr. Smith Sr. was a member of Blessed Trinity Catholic Church. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Mamie J. Smith, Ocala; son, Andrew R. Smith Jr., Ocala; brothers, Ernest L. Smith, Union, Miss., Floyd M. Smith, Sidney L. Smith Jr., and James P. Smith, all of Ocala; sisters, Louise Bradley, Ocala, and Shirley R. Shast, Tucson, Ariz.; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

FORT McCOY — Charles F. Teuton, 61, a retired self-employed contractor, died Friday, Oct. 13, 2000.
A native of Miami, he moved to Fort McCoy from Miami in 1940.
Survivors include his son, Charles Teuton, Tampa; daughter, Katherine Teuton, Fort McCoy; brother, Seibert Teuton, Lewisville, Neb., and Harmon Teuton, Ocala; sister, Jean Teuton, Salt Springs; and three grandchildren.

INVERNESS — Gladys L. Bremser, 78, died Sunday, Oct. 15, 2000.
A native of Brooklyn, N.Y., she moved here from Oceanside, Long Island, N.Y., in 1971. Mrs. Bremser was a member of the Homemakers of Inverness and Citrus Memorial Hospital Auxiliary. She was Lutheran.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Louis A. Bremser, who died Aug. 3, 1987.
Survivors include her daughters, Gladys Loomis, Sierra Vista, Ariz., and Louise Cuba, Watermill, N.Y.; sisters, Beatrice Wvdarski, New Jersey and Lillian Hathaway, Nevada; and four grandchildren.

OCKLAWAHA — Agnes Mary Buckley, 79, a proof reader, died Monday, Oct. 16, 2000.
A native of Somerville, Mass., she moved here from Williamson, N.Y., in 1983. Mrs. Buckley was Catholic.
Survivors include her son, John Buckley, Jacksonville; brother, Richard Brenick, Ocklawaha; and her sister, Anna Scarpulla, Ocklawaha.

OCALA — J.T. Clark Jr., 69, retired owner and operator of 3C Industries Inc., died Sunday, Oct. 15, 2000, at Munroe Regional Medical Center.
A native of Antelope, Texas, he moved here from Navarre in 1996. Mr. Clark was a member of Billory Baptist Church of Navarre and Elks Lodge No. 1014, Belleview.
He was preceded in death by a son, Roy Dan Clark.
Survivors include his wife, Wanda Clark, Ocala; mother, Grace Cozart, Bowie, Texas; son, James T. Jack M. Coleman, 74
HOMOSASSA — Jack M. Coleman, 74, a retired U.S. Navy veteran, died Friday, Oct. 13, 2000, at Seven Rivers Community Hospital, Crystal River.
A native of Kendrick, he moved to Homosassa from Philadelphia five years ago. Mr. Coleman was a member of the Fleet Reserve. He was a veteran of World War II, Korean War and Vietnam, where he was a recipient of the Expeditionary medal and the National Defense Service medal with a bronze star.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Sophie Coleman.
Survivors include his daughter, Elizabeth Gingerich, Homosassa; son, Stephen Coleman, Port Richey; sister, Ledgie Polson, Altoona; four granddaughters; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A native of Centralia, Ill., he moved here from Brevard, N.C., in 1992. Mr. Harrison was a member of Ocala West United Methodist Church. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.

A native of New Britain, he moved here from Kensington, Conn., 26 years ago. Mr. Kiernan was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Hernando.

A native of Atlanta, she moved here from Cheboygan, Mich., nine years ago. Mrs. Lothamer was Methodist. She was an active gardener, writer, painter and cook.

GAINESVILLE — Robert Warren Nelson, 92, a retired janitorial supplies salesman, died Sunday, Oct. 15, 2000.
A native of Bay Shores, Long Island, N.Y., he was a former resident of Ocala. Mr. Nelson was a member of the Marine Corps League; First Marine Division Association; Elks Lodge No. 286, Ocala; and Lions Club, Ocala. He was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran of World War II, where he was the recipient of a Silver Star, two Navy Commendation Presidential Unit citations, two American Defense service medals and four Asia-Pacific Campaign medals. Mr. Nelson was Episcopalian.
He is survived by his daughter, Barbara N. Eddins, Gainesville; and a grandson.

OCALA — William F. Otto Jr., 82, a retired locomotive engineer, died Sunday, Oct. 15, 2000, at Sylvia's Hospice House.
A native of Chicago, he moved here from Brooksville in 1997. Mr. Otto retired from Pennsylvania Railroad after 30 years ago of service. He was a member of Elks Lodge No. 2583, Brooksville. Mr. Otto was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He was Catholic.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Otto, who died June 4, 2000; and his son, William F. Otto III, who was killed in Vietnam.
Survivors include his sister, Doris Otto, Ocala; two grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

OCALA — Mary C. Pesta, 86, a retired secretary for Dixie Lime and Stone Company, died Wednesday, Oct. 11, 2000, at her home.
A native of Tiffin, Ohio, she moved here in 1947. Mrs. Pesta was also a former owner of Mary Jo Riding Academy. She was a member of Queen of Peace Catholic Church, Lions Club and the Power Squadron.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Pesta.
She is survived by her brother, John Bork, Corpus Christi, Texas.

Bernard M. Pitman, 79
MOREHEAD CITY, N.C. — Bernard Metcalfe Pitman, 79, died Friday, Oct. 13, 2000, at Pitt County Memorial Hospital in Greenville.
Mr. Pitman was a native of Salitpa, Ala. He served in the United States Coast Guard during World War II.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Regina Pitman.
Survivors include his wife, Patricia Crawford Pitman, Morehead City; son, Bernard Pitman Jr., Lancaster, Pa.; daughters, Patricia Pitman, Morriston and Linda Pitman, Anthony; sister, Joyce P.
