SILVER SPRINGS — Elmer Schroeder, 88, a retired farmer, died Monday, Oct. 16, 2000.
A native of Fond du Lac, Wis., he moved here from Milwaukee 17 years ago. Mr. Schroeder attended St. Joseph of the Forest Catholic Church, Silver Springs.
He is survived by his nieces, Dolores Ruggles, Silver Springs and Betty Schleger, Ocala.

Irene C. Seymour, 82
OCALA — Irene C. Seymour, 82, a homemaker, died Monday, Oct. 16, 2000, at her home.
A native of Brooklyn, N.Y., she moved here from Oceanside, N.Y., 22 years ago. Mrs. Seymour was a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, Candler and Women of the Moose, Lodge No. 459, Silver Springs.
Survivors include her daughter, Janet Seymour, Ocala; son, Douglas Seymour, Ocala; sisters, Edna M. Manda, Amityville, N.Y., and Jean Vella, Lake Wales; and a granddaughter.

CITRA — Bessie Stevens, 86, a retired seamstress, died Sunday, Oct. 15, 2000, at Ocala Regional Medical Center.
A native of Deel, Va., she moved here from Detroit in 1958. Mrs. Stevens was a member of First Baptist Church of Citra.

DUNNELLON — Doris J. Tunno, 80, a retired quality control inspector for B.F. Goodrich, died Friday, Oct. 13, 2000, in Lecanto.
A native of Hammondsville, Ohio, she moved here from St. Petersburg in 1980.
Survivors include her husband, Anthony Tunno, Dunnellon; son, William J. A native of Amherst, Ohio, she came to Summerfield from Portugal six months ago. Mrs. Fogel was Catholic.
Survivors include her husband of 40 years, Gerald D. Fogel, Summerfield; sons, Jerry Fogel, Avon Lake, Ohio, and Sgt. Rick Fogel, Everett, Wash.; three grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

LECANTO — Gerald A. Haynes, 83, a retired carpenter, died Monday, Oct. 16, 2000.
A native of Catalina, Newfoundland, he moved to Lecanto from Branford, Conn., 10 years ago. Mr. Haynes served as Merchant Marine during World War II. He was Protestant.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Anne Cosgrove Haynes.
Survivors include his sons, Michael Haynes, Madison, Conn., Jeffrey Haynes, Branford, and Edwin Haynes, Lecanto; daughter, Frances Petro, Des Moines, Iowa; sisters, Edith Bodwell, North Branford, and Marie Ferrucci, North Haven, Conn.; and 12 grandchildren.

DUNNELLON — Duane G. Kaniarz, 70, a retired building superintendent, died Monday, Oct. 16, 2000.
A native of Royal Oak Township, Mich., he moved here from Tampa in 1997. Mr. Kaniarz was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War. He was Catholic.
He is survived by his brother, Rudolph Kaniarz, New Port Richey; and his sister, Theresa Fuss, Troy, Mich.

SILVER SPRINGS — Deborah "Debi" L. Simmons Melvin, 46, an officer manager for Mills Septica, died Friday, Oct. 13, 2000, at her home.
A native of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, she moved here from Texas in 1983.
Ms. Melvin was preceded in death by her longtime companion, Tim Conaway.

A native of Oklahoma, she moved here from Broken Arrow, Okla., in 1983. Mrs. Chadwell retired from the U.S. Postal Service and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. She was an active member of First Christian Church of Ocala.
