SUMMERFIELD -- Arthur L. Cannon, 83, a retired auto body shop owner, died Monday, Nov. 6, 2000, at Munroe Regional Medical Center.
A native of Elizabeth, N.J., he moved here from Linden, N.J., in 1980. Mr. Cannon was a member of St. Theresa's Roman Catholic Church; American Legion Drum and Bugle Corps, Elizabeth; Holiday Rambler Travel Club; Lake Weir Community Club; and an active member of Loyal Order of the Moose, Lodge No. 1014, Ocala.
Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Helen Cannon, Summerfield; daughters, Helen Carrar-Scutro, Lakewood, N.J., and Linda Wiedecker, Linden; sister, Mildred Dame, Manalapan, N.J.; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Leonard L. Daniels, 61
OCALA -- Leonard L. Daniels, 61, a heavy-equipment salesman for Ring Power Corp., died Monday, Nov. 6, 2000, at Munroe Regional Medical Center.
A native of Martel, he moved here from High Springs 42 years ago. Mr. Daniels was a member of St. John Lutheran Church.
He is survived by his daughters, Sandra Penix and Marie D. Haislip, both of Ocala; and five grandchildren.

Franklin Hartman, 75
OCKLAWAHA -- Franklin "Gene" Hartman, 75, a retired factory worker for General Motors, died Saturday, Nov. 4, 2000, at his home.
A native of Tennessee, he moved here from Pontiac, Mich., 24 years ago. Mr. Hartman was member of Fraternal Order of the Eagles; Loyal Order of the Moose; Veterans of Foreign Wars; Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks; and United Auto Workers Union, Local No. 594, Pontiac. He was Protestant.
Survivors include his wife, Pearl Hartman, Ocklawaha; son, Franklin Hartman Jr., Grand Blanc, Mich.; daughters, Sharon Curlee, Pontiac, and Sue Ann White, Clarkston, Mich.; brothers, Lawrence Hartman, Davisburg, Mich., and Bill Hartman, Waterford, Mich.; and sister, Julia Dowson, Michigan.

Charles K. LeVines, 86
OCALA -- Charles K. LeVines, 86, a retired business owner, died Monday, Nov. 6, 2000.
A native of Red Level, he moved here from Fort Myers in 1942. Mr. LeVines owned a septic tank business. He was a member of Grace Episcopal Church and the Ocala Power Squadron. Mr. LeVines was a veteran of World War II and served in the U.S. Marine Corps. He was a recipient of the Purple Heart.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Clyde G. LeVines, who died on Oct. 13, 1987.
Survivors include his son, Daniel J. Barksdale, Ocala; daughters, Linda L. Winchenbach and Ione B. Musseau, both of Ocala; sister, Charlotte DeBoard, Hernando; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

OCALA -- Jose D. Lopez, 60, a retired fireman, died Monday, Nov. 6, 2000, at TimberRidge Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
A native of Guayanilla, Puerto Rico, he moved here in June. Mr. Lopez retired from the city of Guayanilla. He was Catholic.

WILLISTON -- Estella Perry Wilkinson Nelson, 81, a retired bookkeeper for University of Florida, died Monday, Nov. 6, 2000.
A native of Oxford, she moved to Williston from Gainesville seven years ago. Mrs. Nelson was a member of Highland Missionary Baptist Church.

SILVER SPRINGS -- Alice S. Price, 82, a homemaker, died Tuesday, Nov. 7, 2000, at Marion House Health Care Center.
A native of Georgia, she moved here from Jacksonville in 1978. Mrs. Price was a member of Ocklawaha Bridge Baptist Church and Ladies Auxiliary, Veterans of Foreign Wars, Post No. 10111, Silver Springs.
She was preceded in death by her son, Linniel T. Price.

CRYSTAL RIVER -- Richard Arden Stewart, 50, a retired lieutenant commander for the U.S. Navy, died Thursday, Nov. 2, 2000, at his home.
A native of Ocala, he moved to Crystal River from Dunnellon in June. Mr. Stewart served for 25 years in the Navy.

OCALA — Carolyn Joyce Dixon, 43, a customer service representative of Kane's Furniture, died Wednesday, Nov. 1, 2000, at Ocala Regional Medical Center.
Ms. Dixon was a native and a lifelong resident of Marion County. She was an active member of New Second Bethel Baptist Church, Dunnellon. Ms. Dixon served in the U.S. Army for four years.

A native of St. Petersburg, she moved here six years ago. Mrs. Gresham was a member of First Baptist Church of Dunnellon. She enjoyed reading, fishing and doing crossword puzzles.
