CITRUS HILLS — Elsie Carvalho, 80, a homemaker, died Sunday, Dec. 17, 2000, at Life Care Center of Citrus County in Lecanto.
A native of New Bedford, Mass., she moved here from Framingham, Mass., in 1990. Mrs. Carvalho was a member of Citrus Hills Country Club. She was Catholic.
Survivors include her husband of 55 years, Mario Carvalho, Citrus Hills; sons, David M. Carvalho, Fort Lauderdale and Robert A. Carvalho, Framingham; brother, Arthur Ramos, Framingham; and two grandchildren.

BELLEVIEW — Gerald W. Day, 76, a retired mechanical engineer in the construction industry, died Saturday, Dec. 16, 2000, at his home.
A native of Leominster, Mass., he moved here from Nashua, N.H., in 1972. Mr. Day served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was Baptist.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara Day, Belleview; daughters, Donna D. Brazaz, Enfield, N.H.; and Elida Day, Summerfield; sons, Donald G. Day, Woburn, Mass., and Richard E. OCALA — Carroll G. Hage, 80, a retired supervisor for the city of Fort Lauderdale Municipal Utilities, died Sunday, Dec. 17, 2000, at Ocala Regional Medical Center.
A native of Moorland, Mich., he moved here from Fort Lauderdale 20 years ago. Mr. Hage served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Carolyn Hage, Ocala; daughter, Debra Engelgau, West Palm Beach; son, Gary Hage, Ocala; brother, Keigh Hage, Fort Lauderdale; and two grandchildren.

A native of Germantown, Pa., he moved here from Center Valley, Pa., in 1986. Mr. Hooks was a member of First United Methodist Church, Ocala; Benevolent and Protective Order of the Elks; American Legion; Greenleaf Masonic Lodge No. 561, (F&AM), Allentown, Pa.; Rajah Shrine Temple, Ocala; Shrine Club; York Rite; Scottish Rite; Order of Eastern Star; and past president of High 12 Club. He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II.

Mr. Sassaman was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church; Zyrian Masonic Lodge 718, Elkhart; life member of Guriter American Legion, Mottville, Mich.; Disabled American Veterans, Bradenton; and Veterans of Foreign Wars, Post 4209, Ocala. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
