OCALA — Charles W. Schuth Jr., 81, a retiree of Webster Electric, died Thursday, Dec. 14, 2000, at Munroe Regional Medical Center.
A native of Racine, Wis., he moved here in 1977.
He is survived by a cousin, Myron Hansen, Ocala.

Eugene C. Scranton, 75
OCALA — Eugene C. Scranton, 75, a master plumber, died Friday, Dec. 15, 2000.
A native of Camden, N.J., he moved here from Pompano Beach in 1984. Mr. Scranton was owner of Scranton Plumbing. He was a member of Disabled American Veterans and served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
He was preceded in death by a son, Greg Scranton.
Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Scranton, Ocala; son, Michael Scranton, DeLand; stepsons, Fred Lammers, Oviedo, and Frank Lammers, Manchester, Tenn.; daughter, Joan Egger, Camden, and Patricia Sarocino, Atco, N.J.; stepdaughters, Mary L. Colton and Lois Jones, both of DeBary; brother, Neil Scranton, Pennsauken, N.J.; 20 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Mildred Schreiber, 81
INVERNESS — Mildred Schreiber, 81, an accomplished musician, died Sunday, Dec. 17, 2000.
A native of New York City, she moved here from Danbury, Conn., 12 years ago. Mrs. Schreiber was a member of St. Margaret's Episcopal Church of Inverness and former director of A Cappella Choir of Danbury.
She is survived by her husband, William J. Schreiber, Inverness.

Steven D. Spencer, 33
OCALA — Steven D. Spencer, 33, a tow truck driver for Carl Johnson's BP, died Saturday, Dec. 16, 2000.
Mr. Spencer was a native and lifelong resident of Ocala. He was a member of Central Baptist Church.
Survivors include his mother, Darlene Spencer, Ocala; sons, Steven W. Spencer and Mathew R. Spencer, both of Ocala; and brothers Jim Spencer, Orlando, Eugene Spencer, Summerfield, Charles Spencer, New Jersey, and Tommy Spencer, Ocala.

Louise Brzeski, 93
INVERNESS — Louise Brzeski, 93, a retired meat cutter, died Tuesday, Dec. 12, 2000.
A native of Uniontown, Pa., she moved here from Bedford, Ohio, 17 years ago.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Brzeski; and a daughter, Constance L. Dolezal.
Survivors include her daughter, Jacqueline Cytlak, Fort Myers; brother, Albert Fetzek, Ohio; seven grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

Mary E. Carlson, 70
SUMMERFEILD — Mary E. Carlson, 70, a homemaker, died Wednesday, Dec. 13, 2000.
A native of Alabama, she moved here from Tampa in 1984. Mrs. Carlson was Baptist.
Survivors include her daughters, Alicia Carlson, Summerfield and Melody "Patty" D'Arcangelo, Spring Hill; sons, Ronald Spears, Odessa, Scott Purvis, Tampa and Victor Purvis, Crawfordsville; sister, Eloise Wright, Marianna; brothers, Curtis Rister, Perry, Junior Rister, Lakeland, Royce Rister, Kathleen, Ga., Gene Rister, Marianna and Billy Rister, North Carolina; 10 grandchildren; and a great-grandson.

Clifford Chamberlain, 89
SILVER SPRINGS — Clifford R. Chamberlain, 89, a retired Baptist minister, died Thursday, Dec. 14, 2000, at Marion House Health Care.
Mr. Chamberlain was a native of Brewyck, Pa.
Survivors include his wife, Mary E. Chamberlain, Ocala; daughters, Rose Holland, Arcade, N.Y., and Beck Dedrick, Sardinia, N.Y.; sister, Leila Beauchine, Ocala; five grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

OCALA — Henry E. Dillon, 76, a retired refrigeration and air conditioning repairman, died Monday, Dec. 18, 2000, at his home.
A native of Powder Springs, Tenn., he moved here from Camden, Ohio, in 1965. Mr. Dillion was Baptist.
Survivors include his wife, Martha Dillion, Ocala; daughters, Paulette Baker, Ocala and Peggy Patton, King, N.C.; son, Charles Dillon, Ocala; sister, Judy Angel, Camden; brother, Richard Dillion, Easton, Ohio; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Helen Ellington, 80
OCALA — Helen Ellington, 80, a retired accounts receivable supervisor, died Sunday, Dec. 17, 2000, at Ocala Regional Medical Center.
A native of Detroit, she moved here in 1994. Mrs. Ellington was a member of Cosmopolitan Club of Ocala and Marion Oaks Civic Association.
Survivors include her husband, William M. Ellington, Ocala; daughter, Helene E. Flowers, Detroit; son, William Imes Ellington III, Chicago; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Richard B. Hamilton, 76
SUMMERFIELD — Richard B. Hamilton, 76, a retired economic developer for the state of Vermont, died Sunday, Dec. 17, 2000, at Sylvia's Hospice House.
A native of Springfield, Mass., he moved here from Surry, Maine, in 1995. Mr. Hamilton served in the U.S. Marine Corps during World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Marie R. Hamilton, Summerfield; daughter, Gail A. Robshaw, Orland, Maine; son, Mark B. Hamilton, Longwood; brother, Neal B. Hamilton, Edgewater; stepdaughters, Marie R. Melosh, Northfield, N.J., and Mellissa M. Rotatori, Pelham, N.Y.; stepsons, R. Jeffrey Bergquist, Rutland, Vt., Christopher L. Bergquist, Calgary, Alberta, Canada, and Kerry G. Bergquist, Lisbon Falls, Maine; 13 grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter.

APOPKA — Beatrice H. Hicks, 78, a homemaker, died Saturday, Dec. 16, 2000, in Winter Park.
A native of Miami, she was a former longtime resident of Ocala. Mrs. Hicks was Baptist.
Survivors include her daughter, Carol Chasteen, Apopka; brothers, Lowery Moseley, North Florida and Joe Hernandez, South Florida; two grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

INVERNESS — Marie R. Joyner, 88, a retired public health nurse for Jackson County Health Department, died Monday, Dec. 18, 2000.
A native of Jacksonville, she moved here from Marianna in 1936. Mrs. Joyner was an active member of St. Luke's Episcopal Church, Marianna; Crazy Eights Bridge Club; and Marianna Pilot Club.
Survivors include her son, Rayburn Joyner, Inverness; daughters, Rena M. Rhodes, Winter Garden and Susan M. Dan McKinnon, Gainesville; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Valeria I. Kraemer, 78
OCALA — Valeria I. Kraemer, 78, a retired employee of the Social Security Administration, died Saturday, Dec. 16, 2000, at Munroe Regional Medical Center.
A native of Spring Green, Wis., she moved here in 1994. Miss Kraemer was a member of Queen of Peace Catholic Church.
She is survived by her sister, Elaine E. Sirny, Ocala.

DUNNELLON — Marie Keip, 79, a homemaker, died Friday, Dec. 15, 2000, at Sylvia Hospice House.
A native of Newark, N.J., she moved here from Crystal River 10 years ago. Mrs. Keip was Catholic.
Survivors include her husband, Peter Keip, Dunnellon; and brothers, Frank Mastroberti, Las Vegas and Michael Mastroberti, Garfield, N.J.

William J. Lipphardt, 47
TAMPA — William J. Lipphardt, 47, owner of The Lipphardt Agency, died Sunday, Dec. 17, 2000.
Mr. Lipphardt was a native of Chicago. He was a member of Bell Shoals Baptist Church.
Survivors include his son, William K. Lipphardt, Tampa; daughter, Ashley Lipphardt, Tallahassee; parents, William and Florence Lipphardt, Ocala; and brothers, James Lipphardt and Bradley Lipphardt, both of Ocala.
