Eugene C. Scranton, 75
OCALA — Eugene C. Scranton, 75, a master plumber, died Friday, Dec. 15, 2000.
A native of Camden, N.J., he moved here from Pompano Beach in 1984. Mr. Scranton was owner of Scranton Plumbing. He was a member of Disabled American Veterans and served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
He was preceded in death by a son, Greg Scranton.
Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Scranton, Ocala; son, Michael Scranton, DeLand; stepsons, Fred Lammers, Oviedo, and Frank Lammers, Manchester, Tenn.; daughter, Joan Egger, Camden, and Patricia Sarocino, Atco, N.J.; stepdaughters, Mary L. INVERNESS — Mildred Schreiber, 81, an accomplished musician, died Sunday, Dec. 17, 2000.
A native of New York City, she moved here from Danbury, Conn., 12 years ago. Mrs. Schreiber was a member of St. Margaret's Episcopal Church of Inverness and former director of A Cappella Choir of Danbury.
She is survived by her husband, William J. Schreiber, Inverness.

OCALA — Steven D. Spencer, 33, a tow truck driver for Carl Johnson's BP, died Saturday, Dec. 16, 2000.
Mr. Spencer was a native and lifelong resident of Ocala. He was a member of Central Baptist Church.
