SILVER SPRINGS — William Hall, 78, a retired machine operator, died Friday, Dec. 22, 2000.
A native of Raymondville, N.Y., he moved here from Sewell, N.J., in 1997. Mr. Hall served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
He is survived by his daughter, Brenda Gaffney, Ocklawaha; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Florence I. Hill, 91
OCALA — Florence I. Hill, 91, a homemaker, died Friday, Dec. 22, 2000, at Palm Garden of Ocala.
A native of Deersville, Ohio, she moved here from Ravenna, Ohio, in 1950. Mrs. Hill was a member of Church of God of the Prophecy and Daughters of the American Revolution.
Survivors include her son, Robert D. Hill, Prattville, Ala., daughters, Linda Abernathy and Betsy Vittitoe, both of Ocala; brother, Meredith Bell, Scio, Ohio; 15 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.

OCALA — Mynita B. Hughes, 100, a homemaker, died Tuesday, Dec. 19, 2000.
A native of Boston, she moved here from Columbia, S.C., in 1998. Mrs. Hughes was a member of First Baptist Church, Columbia, S.C.
She is survived by her daughter, Donessa Hollon, Port Charlotte; niece, Edna Turner, Ocala; two grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

Dorothy E. Kubiak, 87
DUNNELLON — Dorothy Elizabeth Kubiak, 87, a homemaker, died Thursday, Dec. 21, 2000, at Munroe Regional Medical Center.
A native of Bronx, N.Y., she moved here from Miami in 1980. Mrs. Kubiak was a past president of United Cerebral Palsy Association of Nassau County, N.Y.
Survivors include her husband of 65 years, William W. Kubiak, Dunnellon; sons, William J. Kubiak, Miami, and Jon A. Kubiak, Dunnellon; daughter, Joan Butterweek, Fort Lauderdale; sister, Mary Cusick, Massapequa, N.Y.; 10 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Stanley F. Nosko, 87
OCALA — Stanley F. Nosko, 87, a retired truck driver for Salem Laundry Co., died Thursday, Dec. 21, 2000.
A native of Salem, Mass., he moved here 18 years ago. Mr. Nosko was a member of New England Teamsters and Trucking Industry. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
He is survived by his wife, Eleanor C. Nosko; and sister, Helen Kelley, both of Ocala.

Janet F. Reinsch, 61
GAINESVILLE — Janet F. Reinsch, 61, died Thursday, Dec. 21, 2000.
She was a native of Atlanta and a member of New Hope United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Leonard Reinsch.
She is survived by her daughter, Beverly Carroll, Ocala.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Hope United Methodist Church Building Fund.

Leroy T. Syms, 70
REDDICK — Leroy T. Syms, 70, a retired roofer, died Friday, Dec. 22, 2000, at Palm Garden of Ocala.
A native of Savannah, he moved here from Charleston, S.C., in 1970. Mr. Syms served in the U.S. merchant marine. He was Methodist.
Survivors include his sons, Edward Syms, Epping, N.H., and Leroy T. Syms Jr., Georgia; sisters, Joann Grover, Savannah, Jeanette Martin, North Carolina, and Irene Weaver, Anthony; brother, John E. Syms, Charleston, S.C.; and a grandchild.

Robert L. Wilson, 84
SUMMERFIELD — Robert Lee Wilson, 84, a retired plumber in the construction industry, died Thursday, Dec. 21, 2000, at Munroe Regional Medical Center.
A native of Alamo, Ga., he moved from Miami 22 years ago. Mr. Wilson was a member of Sunset Harbor Baptist Church and Plumbers Union Local No. 519, Miami. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
Survivors include his wife of 32 years, Lucy L. Wilson, Summerfield; daughter, Martha E. Wilson, Fort Lauderdale; stepdaughter, Judy Brookins, Kaneohe, Hawaii; stepson, Frank Cotton, Summerfield; sisters, Marie Holton, Dayton, Tenn., and Ruth Bowen, Atlanta; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

OCALA — John Nicholas Wohler, 81, a retired firefighter, died Thursday, Dec. 21, 2000, at Harborside Healthcare.
A native of Baltimore, he moved here in 1980. Mr. Wohler retired as lieutenant from the city of Baltimore. He was Catholic.
Survivors include his wife, Frances Wohler, Ocala; daughters, Catherine Hall, Ocala, Margaret Clauss, Dagsboro, Del., Linda Kraft, Baltimore, Marie Geisler and Anna Vanlill, both of Glen Burnie, Md.; sisters, Ethel Zaner and Julia Endlich, both of Pennsylvania; 10 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

BEVERLY HILLS — Carol H. Aikens, 63, a retired book store manager for Groton School in Massachusetts, died Friday, Dec. 22, 2000, at Citrus Memorial Hospital in Inverness.
A native of Rutland, Vt., she moved to Beverly Hills from Sterling, Mass., 10 years ago. Mrs. Aikens was Episcopalian. She was a member of Shepherd of the Hills Episcopal Church, Lecanto; New England Social Club; Beverly Hills Fishing Club; and Suncoast Senior Bowling League.
Survivors include her husband, Harry J. Aikens, Beverly Hills; son, Peter Aikens, Edmonds, Wash.; daughters, Susanne Rand, Litchfield, N.H., and Deborah Vaughan, Bristol, Conn.; and four grandchildren.

OCALA — Jack Butensky, 74, a retired school teacher for Nassau County School System in New York, died Friday, Dec. 22, 2000, at Munroe Regional Medical Center.
A native of Brooklyn, N.Y., he moved to Ocala from East Meadow, N.Y., 15 years ago. Mr. Butensky was a member of Temple B'Nai Darom; and Jewish War Veterans.
Survivors include his wife, Helen Butensky, Ocala; son, Bruce A. Butensky, Albany, N.Y.; daughters, Eileen Cardini, Wesley Chapel, and Joyce D. Mehlman, Charlotte, N.C.; brother, Martin Butensky, Palm Cay; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Cardy in 1992.

FORT MCCOY — John "Sonny" Conley 72, a retired cable maintenance man for Sprint United, died Friday, Dec. 22, 2000, at home.
A native of Ocala, and a lifelong resident of Marion County. Mr. Conley was a member of Pine United Methodist Church in Fort McCoy. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War.
Survivors include his wife, Karen Conley, Fort McCoy; daughter, Donna K. Springer, Ocala; stepdaughter, Claire M. Strauss, Gainesville; son, Walter Conley, Ocala; stepson, William G. Strauss, West Warwick, R.I.; sister, Erma Goodwin, Oak Ridge, Tenn.; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Mr. Hurlbut was preceded in death by his wife, Lucille K. Hurlbut; and by a son, Joseph R. Hurlbut.

Mrs. Nosbisch was preceded in death by her husband, Christian Nosbisch in 1976.
