EAST HICKORY, Pa. — John M. Brady, 82, a mechanic, died Tuesday, Dec. 26, 2000.
Mr. Brady was a native of Rocky Grove, Pa. He was a member of American Legion in Pennsylvania. Mr. Brady was a U.S Navy veteran. He was Methodist.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Lesta Brady; and a daughter, Sharon Brady.
Survivors include his sons, Max Brady, St. Marys, Pa., and James Brady, Ocala; daughter, Dean Feightner, Pennsylvania; sister, Geraldine Barnett, West Hickory, Pa.; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

OLD TOWN — Karen M. Collier, 39, a homemaker, died Saturday, Dec. 23, 2000.
A native of Fort Myers, she moved to Old Town from Ocala two years ago. Mrs. Collier was Baptist.

Frank P. Hudson, 79
OCALA — Frank Peter Hudson, 79, a retired research scientist, died Monday, Dec. 25, 2000, at Estelle's Hospice House.
A native of Bremerton, Wash., he moved here from Long Island, N.Y., in 1992.
Mr. Hudson was a member of Blessed Trinity Catholic Church, American Physical Society, American Chemical Society, American Geophysical Union, Sigma XI, Phi Beta Kappa and Cursillista. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
He was preceded in death by a son, Christopher.
Survivors include his wife, Jane D. Hudson, Ocala; daughter, Anne H. Jussup, Phoenix; sons, Brendan Hudson, Mexico City and James Hudson, Roswell, N.M.; one sister; two brothers; and nine grandchildren.

SUMMERFIELD — Julia Helen Kytta "Judy", 83, a retired salesperson in the food service industry, died Monday, Dec. 25, 2000, at Harborside Healthcare.
A native of Youngstown, Ohio, she moved to Summerfield from Belleview six years ago. Mrs. Kytta was Catholic.

Arthur U. Naftzger, 76
OCALA — Arthur U. Naftzger, 76, a retired deputy, died Sunday, Dec. 24, 2000, at TimberRidge Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
A native of Cleveland, Ohio, he moved here from St. Petersburg in 1997.
Mr. Naftzger retired from Medina County Sheriff's Department, Medina, Ohio, in 1980. He was a member of Scottish Rite Bodies of Tampa; Bethany Commandery 72, Ravenna, Ohio; Tadmore Shrine Temple, Akron, Ohio; Knights of York Cross of Honor, Ohio Priory 18; Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4256, St. Petersburg; American Legion Post 202, Medina; life member of National Rifle Association; member and past master of Masonic Lodge 58, F&AM, Medina; past high priest of Grand Chapter of Royal Arch Masons of Ohio; and past master of Grand Council Royal and Select Masons of Ohio.
Mr. Naftzger served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and the Korean War.

OCALA — Josephine N. Perez, 84, a retired, self-employed sales representative, died Monday, Dec. 25, 2000, at Sylvia's Hospice House.
A native of Cuba, she moved here 30 years ago. Mrs. Perez was a member of Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witness.

A native of Witt, Ill., he moved here from Lisle, Ill., 12 years ago. Mr. Ricono was a member of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church.

OCALA — Ray C. Sassaman, 84, a retired musical instrument polisher for C.G. Conn Band Instrument Company, Elkhart, Ind., died Sunday, Dec. 17, 2000, at his home.
A native of Elkhart, he moved here from Indiana in 1973. Mr. Sassaman was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church; Zyrian Masonic Lodge 718, Elkhart; life member of Guriter American Legion, Mottville, Mich.; Disabled American Veterans, Bradenton; and Veterans of Foreign Wars, Post 4209, Ocala. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Marie Sassaman, Ocala; daughter, Nancy Wheeler, Cape Coral; son, Ray C. Sassaman, Tampa; brother, Carl E. Sassaman, Elkhart; sister, Laura L. Jacobs, Elkhart; one grandson; and a great-grandson.

William L. Wells, 68
SALT SPRINGS — William L. "Bill" Wells, 68, retired, died Sunday, Dec. 24, 2000, at Veterans Administration Medical Center in Gainesville.
A native of Frostproof, he moved here from LaBelle one year ago. Mr. Wells retired from the U.S. Air Force in 1971. He was a member of New Beginnings Church of God and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 10100, LaBelle. He served in the Air Force during the Korean War and Vietnam.
Survivors include his wife, Jacquelyn "Jackie" Wells, Salt Springs; mother, Willie E. Wells, Alva; daughters, Beverly Wells, Ocala and Betsy Westra, Tucson; sons, James W.
