OCKLAWAHA — William E. Nicholas, 83, a retired designing engineer, died Thursday, Jan. 4, 2001, at Ocala Regional Medical Center.
A native of Wehawken, N.J., he moved here from Hackettown, N.J., in 1995. Mr. Nicholas was a member of Loyal Order of Moose in New Jersey.
Survivors include his daughter, Judie A. George, Ocklawaha, and Beverly J. Spano, Largo; six grandchildren; and one great-grandson.

Joseph P. Rafferty, 82
OCALA — Joseph P. Rafferty, 82, a retired claims adjuster for American International Group Life Insurance Co., died Tuesday, Jan. 2, 2001, at TimberRidge Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
A native of Conshohocken, Pa., he moved here from East Norriton, Pa., in 1990. Mr. Rafferty was a member of Queen of Peace Catholic Church and Angela Santos Veterans of Foreign Wars, Post No. 4781. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Martha K. Rafferty, Ocala; and brother, James Rafferty, Audubon, Pa.

OCALA — Kean R. Randle, 52, a quality control representative for ABB Water Meter Co., died Wednesday, Jan. 3, 2001, at his home.
Mr. Randle was a native of Wichita, Kan. He was a member of Our Lady of the Springs Catholic Church and Alcoholics Anonymous.

A native of Hornbeck, Tenn., he moved here from St. Petersburg 22 years ago. Mr. Weaks was a member of Crystal River United Methodist Church.

ANTHONY — Cressman Lowell "Bill" Williams, 84, a retired master auto mechanic for Dingman Hatch Cadillac, died Monday, Jan. 1, 2001, at Ocala Regional Medical Center.
A native of Bedford, Ind., he moved here from Springfield, Mo., in 1977. Mr. Williams was a member of Faith Christian Center. He was a U.S. Army veteran.

OMAHA, Neb. — Doris Jean Kelpe, 77, died Saturday, Dec. 16, 2000, at Brookstone Village.
A native of Hilo, Hawaii, she was a former resident of Ocala. Mrs. Kelpe was a life member of Women's Society of Christian Services and an active member of United Methodist churches in Ferguson, Mo., Garden City, Kan., Dodge City, Kan., Overland Park, Kan., and Ocala.

A native of Oxford, he was a lifelong resident of Marion County. Mr. Warnock was a member of Wildwood United Methodist Church; Masonic Lodge, Wildwood; Shrine Club; and American Legion, Wildwood. He served in the Merchant Marines during World War II.
