Ruth E. S. Frazee, 87
OCALA — Ruth Elizabeth S. Frazee, 87, a homemaker, died Thursday, Jan. 11, 2001, at Life Care Center of Ocala.
Mrs. Frazee was a native and a lifelong resident of Marion County. She was a founding member of Marion County Historical Society; a leader in 4-H Club and Boy Scouts; a former president of Marion County Chapter of AARP; and a member of United Daughters of the Confederacy.
Mrs. Frazee was preceded in death by her husband, Henry B. "Chick" Frazee.
Survivors include his sons, Henry M. Frazee, Gainesville, David L. Frazee, California, and Craig Frazee, Ocala; daughters, Elizabeth F. Haskins, Ocala, and Katherine F. Theus, Ocala; sisters, Laura Feingold, Ocala, and Bobby Jo Mills, Jacksonville; nine grandchildren: and three great-grandchildren.

DUNNELLON — Robert J. Grogan 75, a retired self-employed consultant engineer, died Friday, Jan. 12, 2001.
A native of Beardstown, Ill., he moved to Dunnellon from Estes Park, Colo., in 1999. Mr. Grogan was Presbyterian. He was a member of Masons and Elks in Colorado. He was a U.S. Navy veteran.

OCALA — Tommy Hall, 61, a retired manufactured housing salesman, died Wednesday, Jan. 10, 2001, at his home.
A native of Wilmington, N.C., he moved to Ocala from Dunnellon in the mid-1960s. Mr. Hall was a member of First Baptist Church of Dunnellon. He was a U.S. Army veteran.

HOMOSASSA — William P. Jarrach, 90, a retired sanitation engineer, died Thursday, Jan. 11, 2001.
A native of New York City, he moved to Homosassa from Commack, N.Y., 28 years ago. Mr. Jarrach was a member of St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church.
Mr. Jarrach was preceded in death by his wife, Anna W. Jarrach, in 1981.

MCINTOSH — Ann Collins Keep, 78, a retired bookkeeper, died Saturday, Jan. 13, 2001, at Munroe Regional Medical Center.
A native of Lexington, Ky., a a lifelong resident of McIntosh. Mrs. Keep was a member of McIntosh Christian Church; and attended McIntosh United Methodist Church.

WINTER GARDEN — Emma S. "Pat" Lathrop, 87, a retired U.S. Postal Service clerk in Ocala, died Friday, Jan. 12, 2001.
A native of Chicago, she moved to Winter Garden from Ocala in 1994. Mrs. Lathrop was a member of Oakcrest Baptist Church in Ocala.
Mrs. Lathrop was preceded in death by her husband, Felix K. Lathrop.

A native of Youngstown, Ohio, he moved to Ocala from Marathon in 1989. Mr. Pierce was Protestant. He was a member of Disabled American Veterans; a Florida Keys firefighter volunteer; and a member of the Bass Angler's Association. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of Korean War.

A native of Kittanning, Pa., he moved to Ocala from Ohio in 1979. Mr. Rearic was a member of Anthony United Methodist Church; and past minister of Rainbow Lake Estates Methodist Church.

Mr. Savary was a lifelong resident of Inverness. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II; and a member of Leroy Rooks Veteran of Foreign Wars Post No. 4252.
Mr. Savary was preceded in death by his wife, Pauline Savary, in 1982.

A native of Jacksonville, Ill., she moved to Lecanto from Illinois a year ago. Mrs. Schulz was a member of Congregational Church of Jacksonville, Ill.
Mrs. Schulz was preceded in death by her husband, Theodore F. Schulz in 1961.

GRAND ISLAND -- Gordon D. Brown, 69, a retired service technician for Sears, died Saturday, Jan. 13, 2001.
A native of Tompkinsville, Ky., he came to Grand Island in 1972. Mr. Brown was a member of Southeast Marion Baptist Church, Air Force Sergeant's Association and Leesburg Disabled American Veterans Association. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran of the Korean War .

DUNNELLON -- Thomas W. Butler, 87, a retired truck driver, died Friday, Jan. 12, 2001, at Avanti Nursing Home in Inverness.
A native of Detroit, he came to Dunnellon from Wayne County, Mich., 27 years ago. Mr. Butler was a member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church in Citrus Springs, and was a U.S. Navy service member.
Survivors include his wife, Evelyn L. Butler, Dunnellon; son, Thomas M. Butler, Cromwell, Conn.; and one grandchild.

Rex D. Cox, 84
DUNNELLON -- Rex Drexal Cox, 84, a retired executive director for the Manufactured Housing Association, died Thursday, Jan. 11, 2001, in Bimble, Ky.
A native of Monet, Mo., Mr. Cox was a deacon at First Baptist Church in Dunnellon, Sunday School teacher and former principal of Dunnellon Christian School. He also was the founding president of Civitan Club in Corpus Christi, Texas, and was a United States Army Air Corps veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife of nearly 50 years, Lila Cox, Dunnellon; daughters, Pamela Sue Schultz, Acworth, Ga., and Linda Gibson, Bimble; brothers, Robert Cox, Avoca, Ind., James Cox, St. Louis, Mo., and Frank Westerfield, Bedford, Ind.; sisters, Rachal Westerfield, Auburn, Ind., Lorraine Cully, O'Fallon, Mo., Dorothy Cox, Englewood, N.J., and Kyllene Cox, Piscataway, N.J.; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his brother Oliver Cox and sister Katherine Westerfield.
