OCALA -- Ruth C. Folkvard, 98, a retired seamstress, died Thursday, Feb. 1, 2001, at Munroe Regional Medical Center.
A native of Norway, she moved here from St. Petersburg. Mrs. Folkvard was a member of the Sons of Norway. She was Methodist.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Einar Folkvard.
Survivors include her granddaughter, Linda Spiegelberg, Ocala; grandsons, Richard Folkvard and Kenneth Folkvard, both of New Jersey; six great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

SUN CITY CENTER -- William Ernest Hamer, 73, a retired officer manager for Burned Inc., died Monday, Jan. 29, 2001, at home.
A native of Clawson, Mich., he moved to Sun City Center from Chiefland three years ago. Mr. Hamer served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.

Mrs. Howard was a native and a lifelong resident of Fairfield. She was Methodist.

A native of Blitchton, he was a lifelong resident of Marion County. Mr. Luckey was a member of St. Hawthorn Primitive Baptist Church. He was a U.S. Army veteran.

A native of Ocala, she moved to High Springs from McRae, Ga., in 1978. Mrs. McDonell was a member of New Century Women's Club, Garden Club, and an active member of First Presbyterian Church.

DUNNELLON -- Alexander Anthony Palumbo, 85, a retired systems analyst for the federal government, died Thursday, Feb. 1, 2001, at Seven Rivers Community Hospital in Crystal River.
A native of Hoboken, N.J., he moved here from Matawan, N.J., 13 years ago. Mr. Palumbo was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church and member and vice commander of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 7991 in Dunnellon. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
Survivors include his brothers, Frank Palumbo, Margate and Joseph Palumbo, Brooklyn, N.Y.; and sisters, Ella Petrosini, Brooklyn, Florence Murphy, Long Island, N.Y., and Anne Siverson, Holly Hill.
