OCALA — Everett M. "Big Ed" Logan Jr., 68, died Monday, Feb. 5, 2001.
A native of Louisville, Ky., he moved here in 1991. Mr. Logan was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Mr. Logan was Catholic.
Survivors include his daughters, Linda Thompson, Ocala, Rita Bledsoe, North Augusta, S.C., and Jacqueline Mason, Belleview; sister, Linda L. Arnold, Indiana; brother, Bernard Karlen, Jeffersonville, Ind.; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

BEVERLY HILLS — Stephen J. Mazar, 84, retired, died Monday, Feb. 5, 2001.
A native of Perth Amboy, N.J., he moved here 12 years ago. Mr. Mazar retired from Core State National Bank, after 46 years of service. He was a former president of American Institute of Banking, Tri-County Chapter; founding member of Woodbridge Area Chamber of Commerce; and member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church. Mr. Mazar served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Evelyn C. OCALA — Florence E. Mello, 75, a retired tax collector, died Friday, Feb. 2, 2001, at Sylvia's Hospice House.
A native of Fall River, Mass., she moved Phoenix 25 years ago. Mrs. Mello was Catholic.

OCALA — Anthony "Mitch" Mitchell, 89, a retired clerk for Conrail, died Sunday, Feb. 4, 2001, at Munroe Regional Medical Center.
A native of Calumet City, Ill., he moved here in 1976. Mr. Mitchell was a member of Ocala Golf Club. He was Catholic.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Ann Mitchell; and daughter, Gail Mitchell.

He was preceded in death by a son, Alton Cook.
