Robert F. Fanning, 74
SILVER SPRINGS — Robert F. Fanning, 74, a retired money room manager for Loomis-Fargo Security Co., died Saturday, Feb. 17, 2001, at Munroe Regional Medical Center.
A native of Long Island, N.Y., he came to Silver Springs in 1974. Mr. Fanning was a member of St. Joseph of the Forest Catholic Church, and a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II, where he served on the USS Bunker Hill.
Survivors include his wife, Valerie R. Fanning, sons, Leonard and Kevin Fanning, all of Silver Springs; sisters, Eileen Krejchi, Southampton, N.Y., and Maggie Andrews, Ocala; brothers, Donald Fanning, Southampton, and Gerald Fanning, Hampton Bays, N.Y.; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his son, Robert Fanning Jr.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Marion County.

Malcolm M. Murrell, 73
OCALA — Malcolm M. Murrell, 73, a retired truck driver, died Thursday, Feb. 15, 2001, at Palm Gardens.
A native of Cullman, Ala., he came here from Tampa 15 years ago. Mr. Murrell was Baptist, and a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his caregiver, Mary E. Christopher, Ocala.

Emily E. Roberson, 101
OCALA — Emily E. Roberson, 101, a homemaker, died Tuesday, Feb. 13, 2001, at Sunbridge of Ocala.
A lifelong resident of Ocala, Mrs. Roberson was a member of Greater Hopewell Missionary Baptist Church.
Survivors include her niece, Willhelmina Parker, Gainesville.

Allison D. Silvernell, 81
WILLISTON — Allison D. Silvernell, 81, a retired construction equipment sales manager, died Saturday, Feb. 17, 2001.
A native of Berwick, Pa., he came to Williston from Holder three years ago.
Survivors include his son, Michael A. Silvernell, Williston; and two grandchildren, Douglas Silvernell, Glens Falls, N.Y., and Brian Silvernell, Orlando.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Jessie B. Williams-Silvernell.

Florence E. Clark, 85
HERNANDO — Florence E. Clark, 85, a homemaker, died Saturday, Feb. 17, 2001.
A native of Butte, Mont., she moved here from Readington Beach in 1979. Mrs. Clark was Baptist.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Clark.
She is survived by her grandson, Bill Clark, Hernando.

Milton T. Cheshire, 71
ANTHONY — Milton T. Cheshire, 71, a truck driver, died Sunday, Feb. 18, 2001.
A native of Orange Springs, he was a lifelong resident of Marion County. Mr. Cheshire was a member of First Baptist Church of Orange Springs. He enjoyed gardening and fishing.
Survivors include his wife, Martha Cheshire, Anthony; sons, David Cheshire, Ocala, Dennis Cheshire, Phoenix, David Thompson, Anthony, Terry Recard, Fort Pierce and Rick Recard, Tampa; daughters, Vicki Merritt, Chiefland, Candy Merritt, Gainesville, Genny Cheshire, Dunnellon, and Eve Cheshire, Anthony, Shirley Walker, Nancy Travis and Tayna Recard, all of Ocala, Mary Hamilton, Rebecca Hamilton and Diane Cheshire, all of Citra; brothers, Peter Smith, Anthony, Gilbert Smith, Henry Smith and Harold Smith, all of Ocala; sisters, Glenda Pierce, Citra, Bernice Holly and Janice Humphrey, both of Ocala; 36 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Marion County or First Baptist Church of Orange Springs.

Helen B. Davis, 92
DUNNELLON — Helen Bryan Purnell Davis, 92, a homemaker, died Sunday, Feb. 18, 2001, in Ocala.
A native of New Haven, Conn., she moved here from Miami in 1971. Mrs. Davis was a member of Dunnellon Garden Club, Rainbow River Conservation, Blue Cove Homeowners Association and Dunnellon Historical Society.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Burton Purnell.
Survivors include her daughter, Laurlin Bedwell, Dunnellon; brother, Jack B. Bryan, Newark, Del.; and three two grandchildren.

Mary L. DesLauriers, 59
BEVERLY HILLS — Mary L. DesLauriers, 59, a bookkeeper, died Sunday, Feb. 18, 2001, in Ocala.
A native of Dorchester, Mass., she moved here from Dracut, Mass., in 1998. Mrs. DesLauriers was an active member of Heritage Baptist Church in Beverly Hills and the New England Club. She enjoyed gardening, embroidery and knitting.
Survivors include her husband of 42 years, Norman DesLauriers, Beverly Hills; sons, Steven N. DesLauriers, Norwalk, Conn., and Kenneth P. DesLauriers, Methuen, Mass.; daughter, Deborah L. Hetu, Dracut; mother, Irene Lucy, Beverly Hills; brothers, Paul Trudel, Denver, Michael Trudel, Hudson, N.H., and Leo Trudel, Nashua, N.H.; and three grandchildren.

Jennie Driggers, 68
SILVER SPRINGS — Jennie Driggers, 68, a homemaker, died Monday, Feb. 19, 2001.
A native of Akron, Ohio, she moved here from Rootstown, Ohio, in 1979. Mrs. Driggers was a member of Ocklawaha Bridge Baptist Church in Ocklawaha.
Survivors include her sons, Mark Driggers and Christopher Driggers, both of Ocala; brothers, Eldon Gallion, Largo and Earl Gallion, Tallmadge, Ohio; sisters, Shirley Thornburg, Omaha, Neb., Ileth Cameron and Juanita Gallion, both of Akron; and seven grandchildren.

Imogene L. Eberhardt, 73
INVERNESS — Imogene L. Eberhardt, 73, a waitress, died Sunday, Feb. 18, 2001.
A native of Marston, Mo., she moved here from Woodhaven, Mich., in 1982. Mrs. Eberhardt was Baptist.
Survivors include her husband, Edward Eberhardt, Inverness; sons, Mike Eberhardt, Inverness, and Rickey Robbins, Tularosa, N.M.; daughters, Joyce Howard, Hawthorne, Linda Jones, Hernando, and Barbara Dye, Keokuk, Iowa; 10 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Samuel Justice, 83
OCALA — Samuel "Sam" Justice, 83, a retired mobile home salesman, died Sunday, Feb. 18, 2001, at Sylvia's Hospice House.
A native of Montgomery, W.Va., he moved here from Bradenton 17 years ago. Mr. Justice was a U.S. Navy veteran. He was Baptist.
Survivors include his wife, Frances E. Justice, Ocala; daughters, Lorene Zeis and Lena Justice, both of Arnold, Mo.; sons, H. Franklin Justice, Summerfield and F.C. Justice, Imperial, Mo.; five grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Sylvia's Hospice House.

Ethel Merryman, 81
DUNNELLON — Ethel "Dolly" Merryman, 81, a retired educator, died Wednesday, Feb. 14, 2001, at her home.
A native of Allentown, Penn., she moved here from Casselberry in 1984. Mrs. Merryman retired from Baltimore City School System after 30 years of service. She was a former member and secretary of Rainbow Lakes United Methodist Church in Dunnellon.
Survivors include her husband of nine years, Eugene J. "J.J." Jones, Dunnellon; daughters, Pamela Thomas-Butzke, Casselberry, and Marsha Albrecht, Freehold, N.J.; brother, Edgar A. Thomas, DuBuque, Iowa; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Dale C. Smith Sr., 75
OCALA — Dale C. Smith Sr., 75, a retired telephone installer for Southern Bell, died Sunday, Feb. 18, 2001.
A native of Camden, S.C., he moved here from Fort Lauderdale 30 years ago. Mr. Smith was a member of Bible Baptist Church of Ocala.
Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Ruth B. Smith, Ocala; sons, Dale C. Smith Jr., Gainesville and David R. Smith, Fort Myers; daughter, Peggy G. Smith, Summerfield; brothers, Robert C. Smith, Inverness, Marvin C. Smith, Orlando, and James C. Smith, Costa Rica; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Carl J. Yawn Sr., 69
OCALA — Carl Jack Yawn Sr., 69, a farm hand, died Monday, Feb. 19, 2001, at Ocala Regional Medical Center.
A native of Macon, Ga., he moved here in 1950. Mr. Yawn was a member of United Pentecostal Church.
Survivors include his sons, Jack Yawn Jr., Kenneth C. Yawn and Jeffery W. Yawn, all of Ocala; sisters, Loomie Purvis, Warner Robins, Ga., Betty-Jean Prevatte, Angier, N.C., Lillian Mullis, Ocala; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
