Robert F. Fanning, 74
SILVER SPRINGS — Robert F. Fanning, 74, a retired money room manager for Loomis-Fargo Security Co., died Saturday, Feb. 17, 2001, at Munroe Regional Medical Center.
A native of Long Island, N.Y., he came to Silver Springs in 1974. Mr. Fanning was a member of St. Joseph of the Forest Catholic Church, and a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II, where he served on the USS Bunker Hill.
Survivors include his wife, Valerie R. Fanning, sons, Leonard and Kevin Fanning, all of Silver Springs; sisters, Eileen Krejchi, Southampton, N.Y., and Maggie Andrews, Ocala; brothers, Donald Fanning, Southampton, and Gerald Fanning, Hampton Bays, N.Y.; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his son, Robert Fanning Jr.

OCALA — Malcolm M. Murrell, 73, a retired truck driver, died Thursday, Feb. 15, 2001, at Palm Gardens.
A native of Cullman, Ala., he came here from Tampa 15 years ago. Mr. Murrell was Baptist, and a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.

OCALA — Emily E. Roberson, 101, a homemaker, died Tuesday, Feb. 13, 2001, at Sunbridge of Ocala.
A lifelong resident of Ocala, Mrs. Roberson was a member of Greater Hopewell Missionary Baptist Church.
Survivors include her niece, Willhelmina Parker, Gainesville.

WILLISTON — Allison D. Silvernell, 81, a retired construction equipment sales manager, died Saturday, Feb. 17, 2001.
A native of Berwick, Pa., he came to Williston from Holder three years ago.
Survivors include his son, Michael A. Silvernell, Williston; and two grandchildren, Douglas Silvernell, Glens Falls, N.Y., and Brian Silvernell, Orlando.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Jessie B. Williams-Silvernell.

HERNANDO — Florence E. Clark, 85, a homemaker, died Saturday, Feb. 17, 2001.
A native of Butte, Mont., she moved here from Readington Beach in 1979. Mrs. Clark was Baptist.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Clark.
She is survived by her grandson, Bill Clark, Hernando.

ANTHONY — Milton T. Cheshire, 71, a truck driver, died Sunday, Feb. 18, 2001.
A native of Orange Springs, he was a lifelong resident of Marion County. Mr. Cheshire was a member of First Baptist Church of Orange Springs. He enjoyed gardening and fishing.

DUNNELLON — Helen Bryan Purnell Davis, 92, a homemaker, died Sunday, Feb. 18, 2001, in Ocala.
A native of New Haven, Conn., she moved here from Miami in 1971. Mrs. Davis was a member of Dunnellon Garden Club, Rainbow River Conservation, Blue Cove Homeowners Association and Dunnellon Historical Society.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Burton Purnell.
Survivors include her daughter, Laurlin Bedwell, Dunnellon; brother, Jack B. Bryan, Newark, Del.; and three two grandchildren.

BEVERLY HILLS — Mary L. DesLauriers, 59, a bookkeeper, died Sunday, Feb. 18, 2001, in Ocala.
A native of Dorchester, Mass., she moved here from Dracut, Mass., in 1998. Mrs. DesLauriers was an active member of Heritage Baptist Church in Beverly Hills and the New England Club. She enjoyed gardening, embroidery and knitting.

A native of Montgomery, W.Va., he moved here from Bradenton 17 years ago. Mr. Justice was a U.S. Navy veteran. He was Baptist.
Survivors include his wife, Frances E. Justice, Ocala; daughters, Lorene Zeis and Lena Justice, both of Arnold, Mo.; sons, H. Franklin Justice, Summerfield and F.C. Justice, Imperial, Mo.; five grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

DUNNELLON — Ethel "Dolly" Merryman, 81, a retired educator, died Wednesday, Feb. 14, 2001, at her home.
A native of Allentown, Penn., she moved here from Casselberry in 1984. Mrs. Merryman retired from Baltimore City School System after 30 years of service. She was a former member and secretary of Rainbow Lakes United Methodist Church in Dunnellon.
Survivors include her husband of nine years, Eugene J. "J.J." Jones, Dunnellon; daughters, Pamela Thomas-Butzke, Casselberry, and Marsha Albrecht, Freehold, N.J.; brother, Edgar A. Thomas, DuBuque, Iowa; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
