GAINESVILLE — Edith Manning Lamberth, 96, died Tuesday, Feb. 20, 2001.
A native of Higley, she moved to Gainesville from Ocala in 1949. Mrs. Lamberth was a member of East Side Baptist Church.
Survivors include her daughters, June Wiggins, Panama City, Shirley Smith, Ocala and Cheryl Hilliard, Gainesville; sisters, Estelle Miller and Pearl Webb, both of Ocala; 13 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of North Central Florida, 4200 N.W. 90th Blvd., Gainesville, FL., 32606.

Dorothea R. Newman, 80
OCALA — Dorothea R. Newman, 80, a retired technician for the University of Buffalo, died Wednesday, Feb. 21, 2001, at TimberRidge Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
A native of Bradford, Pa., she moved here from Buffalo, N.Y., in 1982.
Survivors include her nephew, Richard Heller, Warren, Pa.; and two grandchildren.

Etelka M. Paull, 96
DUNNELLON — Etelka M. Paull, 96, a retired school teacher, died Wednesday, Feb. 21, 2001, in Crystal River.
A native of New York, she moved here from New Port Richey in 1978. Mrs. Paull was a member of Dunnellon Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include her son, Phillip Paull, Madison, Wis.; daughter, Nancy Alexander, Mansfield, Pa.; and five grandchildren.

Patricia E. Pennington, 78
SUMMERFIELD — Patricia "Teash" E. Pennington, 78, a winter resident, died Wednesday, Feb. 21, 2001.
Mrs. Pennington was a native of Pickford, Mich.
Survivors include her husband of 59 years, Maitland Pennington, Summerfield; daughters, Marsha Skonieczny, Brighton, Mich., Joann Van Blaricum, Largo; sons, Ronald Pennington, Pickford and Dennis Pennington, Birch Run, Mich.; brothers, Jack Roe and Donald Roe, both of Ocala; sisters, Jane Smith, Rudyard, Mich., and Emily Foley, Schenectady, N.Y.; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Marion County.

Charlie E. Porter Jr., 61
OCALA — Charlie E. Porter Jr., 61, a technician in Munroe Regional Medical Center's Pathology Department, died Wednesday, Feb. 21, 2001, in Gulf Hammock.
A native of Winston-Salem, N.C., he moved here 19 years ago. Mr. Porter was a member of Agape Baptist Church of Ocala and belonged to an antique car club. He served in the U.S. Navy.
Survivors include his wife, Brenda Porter, Ocala; son, Charlie E Porter II, Ocala; daughter, April L. Plummer, Gulf Hammock; sisters, Charleen P. Shelton, King, N.C., Jerry S. Huffman, Germanton, N.C. , and Brenda Clement, Clemons, N.C.; and two grandchildren.

OCALA — Mildred Eugenia Stephens, 81, a homemaker, died Thursday, Feb. 15, 2001, at Life Care of Ocala.
A native of EunolaAlabama, she moved here from Davie in 1999. Mrs. Stephens was of Christian faith.
Survivors include her son, Rodger R. Glover, Fort Walton Beach; stepson, William A. Stephens, Thomasville, Ga.; stepdaughter, Betty J. Waldron, Ocala; three sisters; four grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and two step-great-grandchildren.

Gordon L. Burnett, 71
SILVER SPRINGS — Gordon Lee Burnett, 71, a retired produce manager for Publix Super Markets Inc., died Tuesday, Feb. 20, 2001, at Surrey Place Convalescent Center.
A native of Grand Island, Neb., he moved here from Lincoln, Neb., in 1960. Mr. Burnett enjoyed golfing and baking. He was a Nebraska Cornhusker fan.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Jonelle L. "Jody" Weitzner, and a grandchild.
Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Billy J. Burnett, Silver Springs; sons, Bradley L. Burnett, Ocklawaha, David C. Burnett, Silver Springs, and Micheal Scott Burnett, Ocala; daughter, Shon R. Monroe, Belleview; brothers, Harry Burnett, Ocala, Wallace Burnett, Lincoln, and Gene Burnett, Chelsea, Mich.; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Evelyn I. Carey, 91
OCALA — Evelyn I. Carey, 91, a retired reservations agent, died Friday, Feb. 23, 2001, at Sylvia's Hospice House.
A native of Broadwell, Ill., she moved here from Villa Park, Ill., in 1975. Mrs. Carey retired from American Airlines, after 19 years of service. She was an Eucharistic minister at Blessed Trinity Catholic Church.
Survivors include her sons, Richard P. Carey, Mansfield, Mass., and Robert B. Carey, Ocala; daughter, Marilyn L. Wrenn, Roselle, Ill.; brothers, Harold Clark, Berwyn, Ill., and Wayne Clark, Sugar Grove, Ill.; sister, Mary Ambrosia, Montgomery, Ill.; nine grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

A native of Florida, she moved here from Tallahassee in 2000.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Fish.
Survivors include her daughter, Charline Cox, Ocala; sons, P.P. "Pete" Fish, Bonifay, and Kenneth G. Fish, St. George Island; brother, David Coffin, Silver Spring, Md.; nine grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Stanley G. Gumm Sr., 68
BEVERLY HILLS — Stanley G. Gumm Sr., 68, a retired shop foreman for Utensco, died Wednesday, Feb. 21, 2001, at his home.
A native of Great Neck, N.Y., he moved here from Port Washington, N.Y., five years ago. Mr. Gumm was a member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church in Beverly Hills. He was an avid reader.
Survivors include his wife, Ada M. Gumm, Beverly Hills; sons, Stanley G. Gumm Jr., Riverhead, N.Y.; and George A. Gumm III, stationed aboard USS Harry S. Truman; brother, David Edmont Gumm Sr., Hernando; and sisters, Barbara DeLaCruz, Hernando, and Katherine A. Daniels, Beverly Hills.

R.C. Hamilton, 77
LADY LAKE — R.C. Hamilton, 77, a retired transportation supervisor for the Sugar Cane Grower's Co-Op of Florida, died Friday, Feb. 23, 2001.
A native of Savannah, Ga., he moved here from Palm Beach County in 1998. Mr. Hamilton was a member of the Scottish Rites and the Elks in The Villages of Lady Lake. He was a charter member of Masonic Lodge in The Villages. He was a U.S. Army veteran and was Baptist.
Survivors include his wife, Lorraine Hamilton, Lady Lake; son, John Hamilton, Fernandina Beach; daughters, Charlene Hubbard, Brandon, Kathleen Yarborough, Fayetteville, N.C., and Gwen Espigh, Glades County; sister, Lila Bonds, Merritt Island; 16 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to a Shriners Children's Hospital.

LECANTO — Aase Ingebretsen, 87, a homemaker, died Thursday, Feb. 22, 2001.
A native of Norway, she moved here from Gaithersburg, Md., in 1991. Mrs. Ingebretsen was Lutheran.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John K. Ingebretsen, who died on April 1, 1987.
Survivors include her daughter, Lill A. Parry, Sugarmill Woods; brothers, Anders K. Salevesen and Lars P. Salevesen, both of Norway; sisters, Borghild Gulbrandsen and Synonnve Andersen, both of Norway; and one grandson.
