Norman E. Colecom, 85
OCALA — Norman E. Colecom, 85, a retired U.S. Air Force pilot, died Tuesday, Feb. 27, 2001, at Ocala Health and Rehabilitation Center.
A native of Morristown, N.J., he moved to Ocala from Rhode Island in 1991. Mr. Colecom was a member of Queen of Peace Catholic Church. He was a veteran of World War II and the Korean War, and participated in the Berlin airlift.
Survivors include his wife, Gloria Colecom, Ocala; daughter, Kim Wasko, Saratoga Springs, N.Y.; and half brother, Ben Babington, Hilton Head, S.C.

Richard C. Cross, 76
DUNNELLON — Richard C. Cross, 76, a retired president for Home Savings and Loan in Minneapolis, died Friday, March 2, 2001 in Ocala.
A native of Minneapolis, he moved to Dunnellon from Naples in 1979. Mr. Cross was a member of Lake Harriet Masonic Lodge No. 277; Scottish Rite; and Zuhrah Shrine Temple, Minneapolis. He served in the Merchant Marine during World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Virginia Cross, Dunnellon; sons, William Cross, Arlington, Texas, and James Cross, Manassas, Va.; daughters, Barbara Miller, Grand Cayman Island, and Nancy Wellrich, Minnetonka, Minn.; brothers, Graham Cross, Boise, Idaho, and David Cross, Sedona, Ariz.; and five grandchildren.

Walter A. Gibson, 90
ROCHESTER, MICH. — Walter Allen Gibson, 90, a retired owner and operator of Gibson Mercantile Co., died Wednesday, Feb. 28, 2001, in Rochester.
A native of Fairfield and a longtime resident of Fairfield, Mr. Gibson was a member of Fairfield Presbyterian Church. He was Fairfield postmaster for many years.
Mr. Gibson was preceded in death by his wife, Mary C. Gibson.
Survivors include his daughters, Judy Taylor, Tupelo, Miss., Karen Ellis, Greensboro, N.C., and Connie Kay, Aliceville, Ala.; son, Chris Gibson, Rochester, Mich.; 12 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

OCALA — Lorraine A. DuVall, 72, a retired secretary, died Saturday, March 3, 2001, at TimberRidge.
A native of Baltimore, she moved here six years ago. Mrs. DuVall was an avid golfer and bridge player who loved needlework.
Survivors include her brother, H. Theodore Volz, and sister, Grace Stamm, both of Baltimore.

OCALA — Arthur S. Harlos, 78, a retired manufacturing engineer for Martin Marietta, died Friday, March 3, 2001.
A native of Buffalo, N.Y., he came here from Orlando 31 years ago. Mr. Harlos was Catholic and a U.S. Army Air Corps veteran of World War II.

DUNNELLON — Edward J. Watts, 78, a retired telephone technician, died Saturday, March 3, 2001, in Crystal River.
A native of Philadelphia, he came to Dunnellon from Long Island, N.Y., in 1986. Mr. Watts was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, and was involved in numerous organizations, including: St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, American Legion Post 58, Ocala Scottish Rite Bodies, Belleview York Rite Bodies, Order of the Eastern Star 88 in Dunnellon and Fort King Daylight Lodge 389 in Ocala, where he was a past Worshipful Master.
Survivors include his brother-in-law, Alferd Roman, Commack, N.Y.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Florence W. Watts.

OCALA — Gregory Lance Bronfman, 36, a computer manager, died Sunday, March 4, 2001, at home.
A native of North Miami Beach, he moved here from Bay Harbor in 1968. Mr. Bronfman was a member of Temple B'nai Darom. He was a Florida Gators fan.

Mr. Buie was a native of Starke. He was an active member of Hope Chapel Christian Assembly, where he served as a deacon.

A native of Mooretown, Vt., he moved here from Milton, Vt., in 1997. Mr. Emond was a member of American Association of Retired Persons and the Elks. He enjoyed bowling, golf, hunting and fishing.
