OCALA — Cleona Adkins Wood, 87, a retired receptionist, died Friday, March 9, 2001, at Marion County Health Department.
A native of Zion, Ky., she moved to Ocala from Henderson, Ky., in 1960. Mrs. Wood was a member of First Baptist Church.
Mrs. Wood was preceded in death by a daughter, Norma May; and a son, Wayne Adkins.
Survivors include her sons, Scott Adkins, Ocala, and Jack Adkins, Belleview; sister, Jackie Cox, Henderson; brothers, Arnold Walker and William E. Walker, both of Henderson; eight grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

BEVERLY HILLS — Walter F. Abney, 67, a salesman for Overhead Door Co., died Wednesday, March 7, 2001.
A native of Chicago, he came to Beverly Hills from Oak Lawn, Ill., 14 years ago. Mr. Abney was Methodist and a U.S. Air Force veteran of the Korean War.
Survivors include his son, Spyros Fletcher, Phoenix; daughters, Dolly N. Wood, Arizona, Carole R. Walczak, Downers Grove, Ill., Margaret Emerson, Lockport, Ill., and Desiree Abney, Pleasant Prairie, Wis.; sister, Lamora Olewinski, Oak Lawn; and four grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Megan Abney.

OCALA — Lucille DiDonato, 89, a retired seamstress for the garment industry, died Saturday March 10, 2001, at TimberRidge Rehabilitation Center.
A native of New York, she came here from Brooklyn, N.Y., in 1990.

OCALA — Maria Gaudalupe Dominguez, 11 months, died Friday, March 9, 2001, at a Shands Hospital in Gainesville.
She was a resident of Ocala, and a member of Blessed Trinity Catholic Church.
Survivors include her mother, Noelia Dominguez, brother, Mario A. Flores, sister, Jessica Dominguez, all of Ocala; and grandparents, Cristino and Aurelia Dominguez, both of Ocala.

MARION OAKS — Ann A. Lubawy, 88, a homemaker, died Saturday, March 10, 2001.
A native of Chicago, she came to Marion Oaks from Hammond, Ill., 21 years ago. Mrs. Lubawy was a member of St. Jude Catholic Church.
Survivors include a brother, Leo Sapyta, Chicago; six grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Loretta Smith.

OCALA — Herbert Adam Ponton, 91, a retired expediter for General Motors Automotive, died Saturday, March 10, 2001, at his home.
A native of Watooga, W.Va., he came here from Mentor, Ohio, in 1972. Mr. Ponton was Lutheran, and loved to fish and play golf.
There were no survivors.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Ponton.

Franklin W. Todd Sr., 75
OCALA — Franklin W. Todd Sr., 75, a retired stockroom foreman for Northeastern Utilities, died Thursday, March 8, 2001, at Munroe Regional Medical Center.
A native of Waterbury, Conn., he came here 10 years ago. Mr. Todd was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II and a member of Joy Lutheran Church. He was a life member of VFW Post 1979; 50-year member of Wolcott Masonic Lodge 146 F &AM and Scottish Rite Bodies.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara Todd, Ocala; daughters, Ellen Spencer and Margret Todd, both of Mobile, Ala., and Nancy Todd, Waterbury; sons, Franklin W. Todd Jr., and Fredric Todd, both of Waterbury; sister, Millie Lundy, Kissimmee; 10 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Archibald Todd Jr.

CRYSTAL RIVER — Evelyn E. Ziemer, 90, died Friday, March 9, 2001.
A native of Bonfield, Ill., she came to Crystal River from Kankakee, Ill., 43 years ago. Mrs. Ziemer was a member of St. Benedict's Catholic Church.
Survivors include her daughter, Charlotte M. Surprenant, Kankakee; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold C. Ziemer.

She was preceded in death by husbands Jim Blackburn and Lewis Baldree.

Harry M. Cunningham, 85
INVERNESS — Harry McAfee Cunningham, 85, a retired truck driver for Frito Lay, died Sunday, March 11, 2001, at home under Hospice care.
A native of Shelby County, Ky., he moved here from Clearwater in 1994. Mr. Cunningham attended the Church of Christ in Inverness. He was a life member of Veterans of Foreign Wars and a 63-year member of Masonic Lodge No. 662 (F&AM). He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. Mr. Cunningham was a Purple Heart recipient for the Battle of Cassarien Pass.
Survivors include his wife, Agnes R. Cunningham, Inverness; stepson, Dwain Reeder, Inverness; daughters, Norma J. Reid, Louisville, Ky., and Ann A. Cecil, Prospect, Ky.; stepdaughter, Donna Kipecky, Dayton, Texas; sister, Jaunita McCoy, Louisville; and eight grandchildren.

DUNNELLON — Elizabeth K. Doss, 84, a retired loan officer, died Sunday, March 11, 2001.
A native of Arapahoe, Neb., she moved here from Hollywood in 1998. Mrs. Doss retired from First National Bank of Hollywood after 35 years of service.
Survivors include her sons, Ronald Doss and Larry Doss, both of Dunnellon; daughter, Judith Pantalea, Tarpon Springs; brother, Gaylord Hill, Adrian, Mo.; sister, Sylvia Brown, Clinton, Mo.; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
