OCALA — Doreen Gaines, 45, a homemaker, died Saturday, March 10, 2001, at Sylvia's Hospice House.
Ms. Gaines was a native of Blitchton. She was of Christian faith.
Survivors include her daughters, Kayla Lewis, Shandria Williams, Lynn Gaines and Lakivia Gaines, all of Ocala; son, Danterio Gaines, Ocala; sisters, Nadine McCoy, Cecilia Dozier and Kathy Kent, all of Ocala; brothers, Donald Gaines, Ocala and Raymond Gaines, Delaware; and eight grandchildren.

William A. Hamp Jr., 79
INVERNESS — William A. Hamp Jr., 79, a retired police sergeant, died Tuesday, March 13, 2001.
native of Baltimore, he moved here from Reisterstown, Md., in 1972. Mr. Hamp retired from Baltimore County Police Force, after 20 years of service. He was a volunteer for Hospice of Citrus County, Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, and Meals on Wheels of Inverness for 20 years. Mr. Hamp was named Citrus County's "Volunteer of the Year" in 1993.
Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Ethel S. Hamp, Inverness; sons, William A. Hamp III, Bonita Springs and Stephen J. Hamp, Boonton, N.J.; sister, Carolyn Morningstar, Taneytown, Md.; six grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

GAINESVILLE — John Holcombe, 31, a technician at Shands, died Tuesday, March 13, 2001, at his home.
A native of Villa Rica, Ga., he moved to Gainesville from Belleview three years ago. Mr. Holcombe was a graduate of Lake Weir High School. He was Methodist.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Gloria Holcombe.
Survivors include his father, Harold Holcombe, Belleview; stepmother, Gail Holcombe, Belleview; sisters, Joy Zager, Duluth, Ga., Jody Duffey, Ocala, Lynda Miller, Orlando and Laura Harrison, Gainesville; and brother, Rick Harrison, Ocala.

Fred G. Holmes, 83
SUMMERFIELD — Fred G. Holmes, 83, a retired citrus grove worker, died Monday, March 12, 2001, at Munroe Regional Medical Center.
A native of Enterprise, Ala., he moved here from Leesburg in 1952. Mr. Holmes was Pentecostal.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 30 years, Daisy Holmes.
Survivors include his daughters, Barbara Budden and Jimmie Mason, both of Summerfield; son, Tony L. Holmes, Summerfield; sisters, June Clark and Minnie Ward, both of Sanford; two grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Harry E. Jones, 93
FAYETTEVILLE, Ga. — Harry Elmer Jones, 93, a retired cargo claims manager for National Airlines, died Monday, March 12, 2001, in Union City, Ga.
A native of Elmhurst, N.Y., he moved to Fayetteville from Ocala in 2000. Mr. Jones was member of Knights of Columbus, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 4209, and a founding member of Northeast Ocala Homeowners Association. He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II. Mr. Jones was Catholic.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Jones.
Survivors include his son, Harry E. Jones Jr., Fayetteville; and stepsons, Bill Freeman, Lady Lake and Paul Freeman, Hendersonville, N.C.

A native of New York City, she moved here from St. Petersburg in 1994. Miss Lyons was a member of Metropolitan Community Church of Trinity in Gainesville.

DUNNELLON — William Marvin McGehee, 101, a retired farmer and foreman, died Tuesday, March 13, 2001, in Williston.
Mr. McGehee was a native of Romeo. He retired from the bridge and building department of Florida East Coast Railroad. Mr. McGehee was a member of Romeo Baptist Church.
Survivors include his son, Gene McGehee, Newberry; daughter, Eliene Markham, Romeo; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

OCALA — Anne Pauline Miller, 93, a retired receptionist for a doctor's office, died Wednesday, March 14, 2001.
A native of Mount Hope, N.J., she moved here from Dearborn, Mich., in 1970. Mrs. Miller was Jehovah's Witness.
She is survived by her sisters, Elizabeth Suhi and Helen Horvath, both of Allen Park, Mich.
