OCALA — Martin J. Banks Jr., 55, manager for Rex TV and Appliance for 15 years, died Monday, March 12, 2001, at Sylvia's Hospice House.
A native of Birmingham, Ala., he moved here in 1990. Mr. Banks was Baptist. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. Mr. Banks enjoyed fishing and hunting.
Survivors include his wife, Ann P. Banks, Ocala; son, Billy Banks, Ocala; daughter Theresa Banks, Ocala; mother, Lorene C. Banks, Spanish Fort, Ala.; and sisters, Valerie Banks, Spanish Fort, Madelle Hancock and Sybil Woodall, both of Birmingham.

LEESBURG — Sylvester "Brownie" Brown, 96, a retired supervisor for Western Electric Co., died Wednesday, March 14, 2001.
A native of Scranton, Pa., he moved to Leesburg from Salt Springs 10 years ago. Mr. Brown was a lifetime member of Telephone Pioneers of America. He enjoyed playing the violin and banjo.
Survivors include his daughters, Eunice Willison, The Villages of Lady Lake, and Amy Landers, Westfield, N.J.; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

CITRUS SPRINGS — Robert "Bob" Hamlet, 69, a retired inspector, died Wednesday, March 14, 2001, at his home.
A native of Ferndale, Mich., he moved here from Clawson, Mich., in 1999. Mr. Hamlet retired from Master Gage, after 46 years of service. He was a member of Highland Park Baptist Church and attended Seven Rivers Presbyterian Church in Lecanto.
Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Dorcas Hamlet, Citrus Springs; sons, Robert J. Hamlet, Cadillac, Mich., Todd Douglas, Tustin, Mich., and Steven M. Hamlet, Jenison, Mich.; brother, Raymond N. A native of Lakewood, N.J., she moved here from Toms River, N.Y., in 1999. Miss Hudson was a criminology student.

NEW YORK CITY — Gertrude Boatman Johnson, 97, retired, died Tuesday, March 13, 2001, at Columbia Presbyterian Hospital.
A native of Durham, S.C., she moved to New York City from Ocala in 1951. Mrs. Johnson was a member of Greater Hopewell Missionary Baptist Church.
She is survived by her sister, Essie B. Williams, Ocala.

WILDWOOD — Robert "Bobby" H. Mills, 67, a retired conductor for CSX Railroad, died Wednesday, March 14, 2001.
Mr. Mills was a native of Jacksonville. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Wildwood, American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars. Mr. Mills served in the U.S. Air Force.

A native of Mount Vernon, N.Y., he moved here from Wingdale, N.Y., in 2000. Mr. Mongelli was a member of St. Jude's Roman Catholic Church. He served in the U.S. Navy.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Douglas W. Morton.

A native of Brooklyn, N.Y., she moved here from Central Islip, N.Y., in 1967. Mrs. Reisenauer was a member of St. Matthew's Lutheran Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Reisenauer.
