DUNNELLON — Emily Marietta Kubina Kowalski, 61, a former employee of Front Porch Restaurant, died Monday, July 2, 2001, at home.
A native of Highland Falls, N.Y., she moved here from Newburgh, N.Y., in 1974. Mrs. Kowalski enjoyed gardening and crocheting.
Survivors include her daughters, Kimberly Arnett, Homosassa, Alice Rothwell, Hebron, Md., Brenda Martin, Citrus Springs, and Melissa Harger, Romeo; sister, Ruth Cichoski, Lynwood, Calif.; and seven grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Kowalski.

OCALA — William D. Lawrence, 76, a retired driller, died Friday, June 22, 2001, at Munroe Regional Medical Center.
Mr. Lawrence was a native of Cedar Rapids, Iowa. He retired from Link-Belt Speeder in 1980. Mr. Lawrence was a former member of United Auto Workers Local Union No. 299.
He is survived by his daughter, Melinda Greene, Ocala.

ANTHONY — Geraldine L. Pfister, 70, a homemaker, died Tuesday, July 3, 2001.
A native of Lackawanna, N.Y., she moved here from Buffalo, N.Y., in 1988. Mrs. Pfister was a member of Our Lady of the Springs Catholic Church. She enjoyed playing bingo.
Survivors include her sons, David Pfister, Buffalo, and Darwyn Pfister, Hollywood; daughter, Marlene Terrell, Ocala; and 11 grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, Dennis Pfister.

OCALA — Lillie W. Savage, 78, a retired bookkeeper for Savage Well Drilling Co., died Monday, July 2, 2001, at Munroe Regional Medical Center.
A native of Lincoln, W.Va., she moved here from Salt Rock, W.Va., in 1961. Mrs. Savage enjoyed cooking and gardening.
Survivors include her son, Terry B. Savage, Naples; brother, Lester Woodall, Salt Rock; sisters, Ann Chandler, Crown City, Ohio, Nancy Woodall and Mary L. Markins, both of Barboursville, W.Va., Pearl Bias and Margaret Bledsoe, both of Salt Rock; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

SILVER CREEK, Mich. — Elmer G. Stalbaum, 79, a retiree of Federal Screw Works of Detroit, died Friday, June 29, 2001, at Lee Memorial Hospital in Dowagiac, Mich.
A native of Chicago, he was a winter resident of Ocala. Mr. Stalbaum served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II. He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars. Mr. Stalbaum was Lutheran.
Survivors include his daughters, Patricia Stalbaum, Dowagiac, Mich., and Claudia Thomas, Jupiter; brother, Norman Stalbaum, Muncie, Ind.; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wives, Anna L. Stalbaum and Dorothy Stalbaum.

OCALA — Elvin K. Twigg, 84, a retired computer operator, died Monday, July 2, 2001, at home.
Mr. Twigg was a native of Marion County, W.Va. He was a member of Salvation Army, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 4781, National Rifle Association, and National Association of Retired Federal Employees. Mr. Twigg served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Delphia Twigg, Ocala; daughters, Linda Cotter, Bowl Head City, Ariz., and Lois Koening, Orefield, Pa.; brother, James Twigg, Phoenix; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

DUNNELLON — Frank Bignon, 80, a retired heavy equipment supervisor in the civil service of Jacksonville, died July 2, 2001, at his home.
A native of Columbia, S.C., Mr. Bignon moved here from Jacksonville 16 years ago. An Army veteran of World War II, he was a member of the VFW Post of Citrus Springs, the Masonic Lodge in Williston, S.C., and the Morocco Shriners Temple in Jacksonville.

Charles M. Elton, Sr., 73
DUBLIN, Ga. — Charles M. Elton, 73, a service technician for BellSouth for 33 years, died July 2, 2001.
A native of Micanopy and current resident of Cedar Key, Mr. Elton was a longtime resident of Marion County and served in World War II as a member of the Navy Armed Guard in World War II. He was a member of Concord Baptist Church in Chiefland.
Mr. Elton was past district commander of the American Legion in Dixie County, was a member of the American Legion Post 0291 in Steinhatchee, was a Boy Scout troop leader and served as a volunteer with the Florida Highway Patrol Auxilary and Rosewood Fire Department.

OCALA — Charles "Jack" Henderson, 90, a retired machine operator for Production Plating Works in Lebanon, Ohio, died July 3, 2001 at Ocala Health and Rehabilitation Center.
A native of Montgomery County, Ohio, Mr. Henderson moved here from Lebanon, Ohio 31 years ago. He was a member of West Marion Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Thelma Henderson, Ocala; daughter Martha Gustin, Lebanon, Ohio; sons Chuck Henderson, Ocala and Joe Henderson, Tampa; brother, Robert Henderson, Lebanon, Ohio; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Mr. Kicklighter was a native of Fort Lauderdale and lived most of his life in Ocala. He played in the Belleview Men's Softball League and was Christian.
