OCALA — Delfin "Del" Gines Sr., 90, a retired dietitian's assistant, died Tuesday, July 10, 2001, at Surrey Place of Ocala.
A native of Manati, Puerto Rico, he moved here from Jamaica Estates, N.Y., 13 years ago. Mr. Gines retired from Fort Hamilton Veterans Administration Hospital in Brooklyn, N.Y., after 25 years. He was a member of St. Jude's Catholic Church in Marion Oaks and the Disabled American Veterans in Belleview. Mr. Gines served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
