OCALA — Clifford Nathaniel Spencer, 38, a laborer, died Monday, Aug. 6, 2001, at the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Gainesville.
Mr. Spencer was a native and lifelong resident of Ocala. He was a member of Mount Tabor African Methodist Episcopal Church. Mr. Spencer served in the U.S. Navy from 1980 through 1991.
Survivors include his daughters, Rosie Spencer, Jacksonville, Natalie Spencer, Ocala, Jasmine Spencer and LaQuelle Spencer, both of Pineville, La.; mother, Marcella Spencer, Ocala; father, Clifford Spencer, Ocala; and sisters, Peggy Jackson, Tampa, Edna Reedy, St. Petersburg, Icella Spencer, Miami, Lois Vance and Elvenia Collins, both of Ocala, Gloria White and Harietta Finley, both of Orlando.

OCALA — Frances Sanders Williams, 85, a homemaker, died Wednesday, Aug. 8, 2001.
A native of Salley, S.C., she moved here from Jacksonville in 1944. Mrs. Williams was a member of Downtown Baptist Church, and past president of Pioneer Garden Club and Ocala Women's Club.
Survivors include her sons, John C. Williams Jr., Leesburg, James A. Williams, Merritt Island, and Dr. Robert E. Williams, Ocala; sisters, Maggie Doty, Fort Myers, and Sophie Fisher, Jacksonville; brother, George F. Sanders, Fort Myers; eight grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

OCALA — Joann Wojner, 70, a retired self-employed real estate broker, died Tuesday, Aug. 7, 2001.
A native of Passaic, N.J., she moved here from Miami in 1976. Mrs. Wojner was Catholic.

BELLEVIEW — James Walter Brown Sr., 88, a retired assistant railroad master, died Wednesday, Aug. 8, 2001, at Estelle's Hospice House.
A native of Savannah, Ga., he was a lifetime resident of Belleview. Mr. Brown was a member of the Community Church of God by Faith.

DUNNELLON — Lillian Lazarick Collins Ciccantelli, 72, a consulting pharmacist for Marion-Citrus Mental Health, died Sunday, Aug. 5, 2001, at her home.
A native of Camden, N.J., she moved here 20 years ago. Mrs. Ciccantelli was a member of Munroe Regional Medical Center Auxiliary. She enjoyed playing bridge, working crossword puzzles and reading spy novels.

DUNNELLON — Robert Jerome German, 58, a retired supervisor for TransWorld Airlines, died Saturday, Aug. 4, 2001, at Oakwood Nursing Center.
A native of Ocala, he moved to Dunnellon from California three years ago. Mr. German was member of Everlasting Word of Faith Ministries and Alpha Phi Alpha fraternity.

DUNNELLON — William Asien Hardesty, 91, a retired roofer, died Tuesday, Aug. 7, 2001 in Ocala.
A native of Zalma, Mo., he moved here from Miami 16 years ago. Mr. Hardesty was a an active member of Gospel Barn Church and longtime member of Loyal Order of the Moose. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.

LEESBURG — Osburn Hill, 77, an orange grove caretaker, died Wednesday, Aug. 8, 2001.
A native of Hillderth, he was a longtime resident of Lake City. Mr. Hill served in the U.S. Army during World War II.

OCALA — Victoria N. Sawaya, 68, a bookkeeper for Sears Roebuck Co., died Wednesday, Aug. 8, 2001, in Ocala.
A native of Dublin, Ga., she moved here from Miami in 1940. Mrs. Sawaya was an active member of Blessed Trinity Catholic Church and volunteered at Ocala Regional Medical Center.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry S. Sawaya.

ORANGE SPRINGS — Georgie L. Watson, 86, a retiree of Maxwell House Coffee, died Thursday, Aug. 9, 2001, at home.
A native of Pierce County, Ga., she moved here from Jacksonville 16 years ago. Mrs. Watson was a member of Berea Baptist Church. She enjoyed fishing and gardening.
Survivors include her son, Earl Watson, Orange Springs; daughter, Virginia Dozier, Orange Springs; sisters, Dorothy N. Smith, Jacksonville, Mary Powell, Brunswick, Ga., and Renna Hand, Callahan; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren.
