OCALA — Joseph W. Bagosi, 74, a retired metallurgical engineer for Colt Ind., died Thursday, Aug. 9, 2001, at his home.
A native of Ellwood City, Pa., he moved to Ocala in 1985 from Ohioville, Pa. Mr. Bagosi was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II and a member of AARP. He was a member of St. Jude Catholic Church.
Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Irene Bagosi, Ocala; and daughter, Beverly Bagosi, Pittsburgh.

OCALA — June P. Blackmon, 81, a homemaker, died Thursday, Aug. 9, 2001, at her home.
A native of Orange Heights, she was a lifetime resident of Florida. Mrs. Blackmon was a member of Women of the Moose and a member of Wyomina Park Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Francis P. Blackmon.

OCALA — Henry Edwin Czerminski, 76, a retired corrections officer, died Wednesday, Aug. 8, 2001, at Ocala Regional Medical Center.
A native of Sloan, N.Y., he moved to Ocala from Alden, N.Y. Mr. Czerminski was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and Korea. He was Catholic and enjoyed gardening.
Survivors include his daughters, Sharon Klinkroth and Denise Thurnherr, both of Ocala; brothers, Chester Czerminski, Castile, N.Y., Eddie Czerminski, Buffalo, N.Y., and George Czerminski, East Aurora, N.Y.; and four grandchildren.

OCALA — Irene DiPillo, 72, a retired meat wrapper, died Friday, Aug. 10, 2001, at her residence.
A native of Manhattan, N.Y., she moved to Ocala in 1998 from Ossining, N.Y. Mrs. DiPillo was a member of Queen of Peace Catholic Church.
Survivors include her husband, Anthony DiPillo, Ocala; sons, David DiPillo and Gary DiPillo, both of Ossining; brother, Vincent Patalano, Fort Lauderdale; and seven grandchildren.

INVERNESS — Russell A. Dorsey Jr., 70, a geologist for Exxon for more than 30 years, died Tuesday, Aug. 7, 2001, in Tampa.
A native of Buffalo, N.Y., he moved to Inverness in 1986 from Houston. Mr. Dorsey served in the Army during the Korean War. He served as head of the Gulf Archaeology Research Institute and authored scientific journals.

OCALA — Dorothy I. Fordyce, 82, a retired elementary school teacher, died Friday, Aug. 10, 2001, at Palm Gardens Nursing Home.
A native of Keego Harbor, Mich., she's been a winter resident since 1980. Mrs. Fordyce was a member of AARP, the Campers on Mission Organization and Ocklawaha Bridge Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Gerald D. Fordyce, Roscommon, Mich.; sons, Curtis Fordyce, Bar Harbor, Maine, and Brent Fordyce, Ypsilanti, Mich.; daughters, Marilyn M. A native of Decatur, Ind., she was a former resident of Fort McCoy. Mrs. Hills helped establish a public library in Fort McCoy. She was a former member of Fort McCoy Southern Baptist Church and a member of the Baptist Church of Beaufort.

A native of Florida, he was a longtime resident of Oxford. Mr. Slaughter served in the U.S. Army and was past director of Florida State and National Professional Insurance Agents Association.

OCALA — Thomas Beaver, 95, a retired chief petty officer for the U.S. Navy, died Friday, Aug. 10, 2001, at home.
A native of South Euclid, Ohio, Mr. Beaver moved here from Gainesville in 1987. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Ocala, the Masons, the World War II Submarine Veterans Association, Fleet Reserve and the Veterans of Foreign Wars. Mr. Beaver was an avid reader and craftsman, who enjoyed singing and playing the guitar. He served in the U.S. Navy in World War II.
