OCALA — Hazel Louise Sullivan, 87, a retired employee of Libby, McNeil and Libby, died Tuesday, Aug. 21, 2001, in Ocala.
A native of Haleburg, Ala., she moved to Ocala in 1935. Mrs. Sullivan was a member of Fort King Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Luther Sullivan and sons, James Sullivan and Waymon Sullivan.
Survivors include her daughters, Della Livingston and Rose Luscombe, both of Ocala; son, Joby Sullivan, Rancho Mirage, Calif.; 15 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Daniel R. Sutton Sr., 57
DUNNELLON — Daniel R. Sutton Sr., 57, a retired mine foreman, died Monday, Aug. 20, 2001, in Jacksonville.
A native of Long Run, Ohio, he moved here from West Virginia in 1986. Mr. Sutton was an active member of Central Christian Church of Ocala and a member of the American Legion. He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War.
Survivors include his wife, Linda Jo Sutton, Dunnellon; daughters, Crystal D.A. Sutton-Seaman, Hartford, Ala., Danielle R.M. Sutton, Jessica A.C. Sutton and Kandy L. Sutton, all of Dunnellon; son, Daniel R. Sutton Jr., Dunnellon; parents, William and Dorothy Sutton, Orlando; brothers, William Sutton, Martins Ferry, Ohio, James Sutton, Flushing, Ohio, and Rodger Sutton, Clermont; and three grandchildren.

Flora V. Ybañez, 66
OCALA — Flora Vidal Ybañez, 66, a homemaker, died Sunday, Aug. 19, 2001.
A native of Philippines, she moved here 10 years ago. Mrs. Ybañez was a member of Blessed Trinity Catholic Church and the Perpetual Adoration Society.
Survivors include her son, Joselito V. Ybañez, Brooklyn, N.Y.; daughters, Juliet Y. Roy, Ocala, Jocelyn Y. Castillo, Riverdale, N.J., Jennifer Y. Serrano and Maria J. Ybañez, both of Manila, Philippines; four brothers, five sisters; and eight grandchildren.

Beatrice C. Barros, 67
OCALA — Beatrice C. Barros, 67, a retired guest services representative for Silver Springs attraction, died Tuesday, Aug. 21, 2001.
A native of New Bedford, Mass., she moved here in 1987. Mrs. Barros was a member of Our Lady of the Springs Catholic Church.
Survivors include her son, Steven Santos, Seminole, Peter Santos and Robert Santos, both of Ocala; sister, Annette Genereux, New Bedford; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Barros, who died on March 5, 2001; and a son, Lawrence P. Santos Jr.

DUNNELLON — Dollie Mae Brown, 51, a retired bus driver for Marion County Public Schools, died Wednesday, Aug. 15, 2001, at Munroe Regional Medical Center.
Mrs. Brown was a native and a lifelong resident of Dunnellon. She was a member of First Bethel Missionary Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Howard Brown Jr., Gainesville; son, Rodney Brown, Dunnellon; stepson, Calvin Brown, Carbondale, Ill.; stepdaughter, Tosha Borden, Ocala; brothers, Janes Blanford, Altamonte Springs and Horace Blanford, Orlando; and sisters, Amelia Grant, Miami, Audrey Adside, Manchester, Conn., Joe Ann Young and Frances Taylor, both of Dunnellon.

Survivors include her husband, Bernard Caringe, Ocala; son, Michael Caringe, Virginia Beach, Va.; and brother, Howard H. Reilli, Mechanicville.

Survivors include her daughter, Suzanne Knoblock, Ocala; sister, Elsie Gladney, Flat Rock, N.C.; and two grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Girard.

OCALA — James Riching Miles, 69, a retired U.S. Army veteran, died Tuesday, Aug. 21, 2001, at Sylvia's Hospice House.
A native of Detroit, he moved here from Hollywood in 1989.
Mr. Miles was a member of Queen of Peace Catholic Church, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 4209, Disabled American Veterans Chapter No. 149, 62nd Military Police Co., Knights of Columbus Council No. 5960, Historic Ocala/Marion County Genealogical Society and Florida Chapter of Ohio Genealogical Society.
Survivors include his wife, Shirley Miles, Ocala; daughter, Linda I. Blanton, Crofton, Md.; stepsons, Walter L. Thompson and Charles T. Thompson, both of Daufuskie Island, S.C.; sisters, Ruth Raisanan, Waterford, Mich., and Mildred Oshman, Pontiac, Mich.; half-sister, Letitia Doll, Pennsylvania; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Mrs. Nunley was an avid reader and enjoyed cooking, gardening and music.

Survivors include his wife, Bobbie S. Parker, Dunnellon; daughters, Leslie Balton, Ventura, Calif., Beverly F. Parker, Dunnellon, Julie R. Cubbage, Carencro, La., and Jozelle Love, Romeo; brother, Poley Parker, Tomball, Texas; and nine grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife, Helen Schwig, Ocala; daughters, Gail Brown, Shirley Roulo and Beverly Karpovck, all of Ocala, Judith Brassell, West Bloomfield, Mich.; 12 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

A native of Metcalf, Ga., she moved here from Gainesville two months ago. Mrs. Smith was Baptist.
Survivors include her mother, Callie Walker, Dunnellon; daughters, Barbarette Puyol, Miami, Lorraine Smith, Panama City, Tangela Smith Ocala and Sheila Smith, Gainesville; sons, Patrick Smith, Ocala, Bernard Smith and Thaddeus Smith, both of Panama City; sister, Crushie M. Walker, Dunnellon; brothers, Jack Johnson, Ernest Johnson, Leroy Johnson, Clarence Johnson and Jimmy Johnson, all of Sanford; and 20 grandchildren.

A native of Elk County, Pa., she moved here from Queens, N.Y., in 1989. Mrs. Sottovia was a member of Our Lady of the Spring Catholic Church, Catholic Daughters of America and Precious Blood Association.
Survivors include her son, Ronald "Ron" Sottovia, Ocala; daughter, Edith I. Sottovia, Ocala; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Rinaldo Sottovia; son, Victor Sottovia; and daughter, Elda Tricarico.
