A native of Chicago, she moved here from North Miami Beach in 1990. Mrs. Schiola-Yarski was a member of Queen of Peace Catholic Church.
Survivors include her husband, Eugene R. Yarski, Ocala; son, Anthony J. Yarski, Pompano; daughter, Carol J. Yarski-Saxton, Davie; mother, Mae Schiola-Adams, Ocala; brother, Frank Schiola, Ocala; sister, Carol A. Bergen, Pembroke Pines; and two grandchildren.

Smith, Brooksville, Kenneth Smith, Keene, William Smith, Tucson, Ariz., Herbert Smith, North Strafford, N.H., and Howard Smith, Manchester, N.H.; daughters, Rose LaRoche, Ocala, Alice Huntley, Raymond, N.H., Jennie Ayotte, Goshen, N.H., and June Ernol, Londonderry, N.H.; three brothers, three sisters; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Robert G. Souther, 75
OCALA — Robert G. Souther, 75, a retired bus driver for Dade County Transportation, died Saturday, Aug. 25, 2001, at Ocala Regional Medical Center.
A native of St. Louis, he moved here from Hiawassee, Ga., in 1997. Mr. Souther was a member of Elks Lodge in Belleview. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
Survivors include his daughter, Barbara S. Gonzalez, Miami; son, Robert G. Souther; one grandchild; and one great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Clare J. Souther.

OCALA — Marilyn Louise Bakker, 74, a retired editor, died Wednesday, Aug. 29, 2001, at Sylvia's Hospice House.
A native of Cleveland, she moved here from New Albany, Ind., five years ago. Mrs. Bakker retired from Data Courier Co., after 25 years. She was a member of Grace Episcopal Church of Ocala.
Survivors include her son, Thomas J. Wood III, New Albany; daughter, Diane Brody, Ocala; and one grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Lubertus Bakker.

SARASOTA — Richard Batson, 45, an employee of Hi-Stat Manufacturing Co., died Monday, Aug. 27, 2001, in Tampa.
Mr. Batson was a native of Ocala. He was a member of Who's Who of America, the National Honor Society, and the National Society of Industrial Engineers. Mr. Batson was Methodist.
Survivors include his daughter, Bonnie Batson, Sarasota; mother, Margaret Terrell, Homosassa; brother, Robert Batson, Homosassa; and sister, Bonnie Gariglio, Tampa.

A native of Atlanta, she moved here from Miami in 1980. Mrs. Doland was a member of St. Patrick's Episcopal Church of Ocala and a volunteer with Hospice of Marion County and Munroe Regional Medical Center.
Survivors include her daughter, Lucille S. Rogers, Ocala; sister, Eleva Cook, Pensacola; and two grandchildren.

CITRA — Gladys Goodwin, 79, a retired production worker, died Sunday, Aug. 26, 2001, at Suwannee Health Care Center.
Mrs. Goodwin was a native and lifelong resident of Citra. She was a member of Willow Plant Missionary Baptist Church.
Survivors include her son, Alfonzo Goodwin, New York; daughters, Alice Jenkins, Citra, and Evelyn Hundley, New Jersey; stepsisters, Arvana Turner, Citra, and Arlene Robinson and Roberta Randolph, both of Ocala; stepbrothers, Obie Robinson, Ocala, and William Robinson, Tampa; 10 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Master Lee Goodwin; and son Alfred Goodwin.

OCALA — Chester Hamilton, 81, a retired laborer, died Wednesday, Aug. 22, 2001, at Sylvia's Hospice House.
Mr. Hamilton was a native and lifelong resident of Ocala. He was a member of Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church in Cotton Plant.
Survivors include his daughters, the Rev. Carrie Chisholm, Ann McQueen, Bonita McCloud, and Tawana Hamilton, all of Ocala; sons, Henry Hamilton, General L. Hamilton, William Hamilton, Curtis Hamilton, Odell Hamilton, Wayne Hamilton, and the Rev. Aaron Hamilton, all of Ocala; brother, the Rev. George Hamilton Sr., Ocala; sisters, Ruby Coy, Alma Bryant and Tena Codgell, all of Ocala; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Jackson was a native and lifelong resident of Ocala. She was an active member of St. Paul AME Church.
Survivors include her husband of 47 years, James D. Jackson Sr., Ocala; daughters, Poinsetta Jackson-Greene, Gainesville, Valarie Jackson-Rivers, Tallahassee, A. A native of Baltimore, he moved here from Orlando in 1973. Mr. Leydecker served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Mildred Leydecker, Ocala; son, Rick Leydecker, Naples; daughter, Sandy Hovendon, Ocala; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

WILDWOOD — Richard O. McLaughlin, 80, a retired truck driver for Boss-Linco, died Tuesday, Aug. 28, 2001.
A native of Boston, he moved here from Sweden, Maine, in 1987. Mr. McLaughlin was a member of American Legion Post No. 18 and the Veterans of Foreign Wars. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. Mr. McLaughlin was Catholic.
Survivors include his wife, Cecilia McLaughlin, Wildwood; sons, Richard McLaughlin, New Hampshire, Edwin McLaughlin, Boston, and Lawrence Kelly, Stratton, Va.; daughter, Gayle McLaughlin, Boston; and six grandchildren.

OCALA — Rosemary D. Penn, 76, a retired bookkeeper for Food Fair, died Sunday, Aug. 26, 2001.
A native of Terre Haute, Ind., she moved here from West Palm Beach in 1968. Mrs. Penn attended Nazarene Church. She enjoyed playing bingo.
Survivors include her sons, Jerry Blue, Williston, and William Bowen, Ocala; daughters, Gwendolyn Thompson, Ocala, and Pam Blue, Williston; brother, Bud Dagley, Clinton, Ind.; sister, Roberta Fortmeyer, Fort Wayne, Ind.; and two grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Penn.

A native of Monticello, he moved here in 1944. Mr. Smith was a member of St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church in Candler.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Smith, Ocklawaha; son, Richard Smith, Ocklawaha; sisters, Ruthie M. Harris and Lillie M. Gentle, both of Bunnell; brothers, Willie Hill, Bunnell, and Ruben Hill, Gainesville; sister, Rebecca Welcome, Ocklawaha; seven grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.

A native of Chicago, he moved here in 1991. Mr. Wolos retired from Stannard Power Equipment, after 25 years. He enjoyed fishing and bowling.
Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Lorraine R. Wolos, Beverly Hills; daughters, Linda McNutly, Lithonia, Ga., Judith Doctor, Colton, Calif., and Pamela Brown and Denise Wolos-Bethancourt, both of Beverly Hills; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
