YANKEETOWN — Louis W. Opperman, 99, a retired tool and die maker for Caterpillar Tractor Co., died Tuesday, Oct. 16, 2001, at Brentwood Health Care Center in Lecanto.
A native of Evansville, Ind., he moved here from Washington, Ill., 36 years ago.

OCALA — Anthony Paluzzi Sr., 68, a retired equipment operator for the Parks Department of North Miami, died Tuesday, Oct. 16, 2001, at Sylvia's Hospice House.
A native of Lyndhurst, N.J., he moved here from Pembroke Pines. Mr. Paluzzi was a member of S. Jude's Catholic Church. He served in the U.S. Army.

OCALA — Pasquale J. Passarette Jr., 66, a retired mechanic for Pan-American Airlines, died Tuesday, Oct. 16, 2001, at home.
A native of Corona, N.Y., he moved here from New York in 1995. Mr. Passarette was a member of Queen of Peace Catholic Church, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4781, Disabled American Veterans, American Legion Post 354, and Knights of Columbus Council 9694. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.

Survivors include her daughter, Deanna Cisowski, Milipas, Calif.; son, Richard Kesterson, Omaha, Neb.; brother, Robert Day, Corona, Calif.; and three grandchildren.

A native of Wood County, W.Va., he moved here from Holiday two months ago. Mr. Lang was a member of Community United Methodist Church, Herman Lodge No. 6, Chasco Camera Club and Friends of Pasco County Library. He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II.

CITRA — Roy B. Clanton, 85, a retired business owner, died Wednesday, Oct. 17, 2001, in Panama City.
A native of Barrets, Ga., he moved here from Longwood in 1977. Mr. Clanton was owner and operator of an Esso service station in Longwood. He was an active member of Cross Creek Baptist Church. Mr. Clanton served in the U.S. Army during World War II and the Korean War. He was the recipient of a bronze star and an Oak Leaf Cluster for heroic actions.
Survivors include his daughters, Lillian Corbitt, Panama City, Eloise Gunter, Houston, and Susan K.
