SUMMERFIELD — Naomi Ruth Owensby, a homemaker, died Wednesday, Oct. 24, 2001, in Tampa.
A native of Bluefield, W.Va., she moved to Summerfield over two years ago from Knottingham, Pa. Mrs. Owensby was a member of the Gideon Auxiliary Marion County South Camp of Ocala. She was a member of Leesburg Assembly of God.
Survivors include her husband, Joseph V. Owensby, Summerfield; daughters, Crystal Motlasz, Burlinton, N.J., and Stacey Krauss, Milford, Pa.; son, Garland Owensby, Midlothian, Texas.; and seven grandchildren.

BELLEVIEW — Walter Otto Partenheimer, 83, a retired metal spinner, died Thursday, Oct. 25, 2001, at Lady Lake Specialty Care.
A native of Bronx, N.Y., he moved to Belleview in 1975. Mr. Partenheimer was a U.S. Army veteran during World War II and a member of VFW No. 8083. He was a member of St. Mary's Episcopal Church.

OCALA — Richard Gentry, 78, a retired meat cutter for A&P food markets, died Saturday, Oct. 27, 2001, at home.
A native of Osawatomie, Kan., he moved here from Hammond, Ind., in 1981. Mr. Gentry was a member of Fraternal Order of the Eagles Aerie No. 3656, Ocala; Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 4209, Ocala; McKinley Masonic Lodge and Scottish Rite. He served in the U.S. Army, 225th Quarter Master Salvage Repairs Company during World War II. Mr. Gentry was Methodist.

OCKLAWAHA — Michelle "Miki" C. Allen, 65, died Sunday, Oct. 28, 2001, at her home.
A native of West Palm Beach, she was a longtime resident of Marion County. Ms. Allen worked for A.F. Allen and Associates, a computer consulting firm.
As a child living in West Palm Beach during WWII, she was the youngest spotter for the U.S. Army Air Force Fighter Command Group Plane Observer Corps.
Survivors include her mother, Myra Smith, Fort Lauderdale; and sister, Martha Corwin, Fort Lauderdale.

A native of Philadelphia, he moved here from Inglis in 1984. Mr. Bowers retired from Reading Railroad after 30 years. He was a member of United Methodist Church of Hernando; Harry Nesbitt Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 10087, Beverly Hills; Richmond Masonic Lodge No. 230; Scottish Rite Consistory; United Transportation Union Local No. 1375; and Brotherhood of Retired Railroad Employees.
