OCALA — Adalaide Blain, 82, a retired nurse's aide, died Wednesday, Nov. 7, 2001, at Munroe Regional Medical Center.
A native of Westmoreland, Jamaica, she moved here from Bronx, N.Y., in 1990. Mrs. Blain was a member of Presbyterian Church of Marion Oaks.
Survivors include her husband of 45 years, Joseph S. Blain, Ocala; son, Glenville Spence, London; stepson, Basil Blain, Portlland, Jamaica; stepdaughter, Yasmin A. Blain, Toronto; sister, Icy Bailey, Kingston, Jamaica; six grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.

OCALA — Miriam J. Dolan, 85, a retired co-operator of Camp Taconic, died Friday, Nov. 9, 2001.
A native of Baltimore, she moved here from Hamburg, N.J., in 1973. Mrs. Dolan retired from Camp Taconic, Red Hook, N.Y., for 25 years. She was a member of Church of the Nazarene of Ocala.

HERNANDO — Mae Amelia Thomas, 96, died Thursday, Nov. 8, 2001, in Lecanto.
A native of Pittsburgh, she moved here from Mount Washington, Ky., in 1969. Mrs. Thomas retired from Ace Hardware of Hernando after 20 years. She was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Ladies Auxiliary. Mrs. Thomas was Baptist.
Survivors include her sons, Lorne Loaring, Pleasureville, Ky., and William Loaring, Hernando; 22 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.

DUNNELLON — Giacomo "Jack" Turso, 75, an employee of Kash 'n' Karry of Dunnellon, died Wednesday, Nov. 7, 2001.
A native of Hoboken, N.J., he moved here from Key West in 1993. Mr. Turso retired from the U.S. Postal Service in Key West. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. Mr. Turso was Catholic.

BELLEVIEW — Harold B. Van Valkenburgh, 89, a retired dealer and mechanic for Van Valkenburgh Rambler, Roxbury, N.J., died Thursday, Nov. 8, 2001, at TimberRidge Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
A native of Roxbury, he moved here from Oneonta, N.Y., in 1978. Mr. Van Valkenburgh was a member of a Masonic Lodge. He was Methodist.
Survivors include his daughter, Judy DeNeve, Belleview; sister, Alice Grenolds, Binghamton, N.Y.; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

A native of Wildwood, N.J., he moved to Inverness from South Dennis, N.J., in 1973. Mr. Woodlin was a member of Hernando Church of Nazarene. He served in the U.S. Coast Guard during World War II.

A native of Newark, N.J., she came here five months ago from Little Egg Harbor, N.J. Mrs. Elliott enjoyed bowling and volunteered at Genesis Elder Care in New Jersey. She was a member of Cedar Run Assembly of God Church in Manahawkin, N.J.

OCALA — James D. "Leaky" Lewis, 78, a retired corrections officer for the Marion County Sheriff's Office, died Saturday, Nov. 10, 2001, at Munroe Regional Medical Center.
A native of Delhi, La., he moved here from Jackson, Miss., in 1957. He was a member of Unity Baptist Church of Anthony. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.

Mrs. Carney was a native of Brooklyn, N.Y. She came here from Brooklyn in 1979. She was an avid bowler with the Monday Morning club and was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of Beverly Hills. She was a member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church.
Mrs. Carney was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Carney Jr. in 1991.

Mrs. Corkery retired from Pinellas County School System. A native of Owensboro, Ky., she came here from Chiefland. Mrs. Corkery was Southern Baptist.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas W. Freeman in 1957.

SILVER SPRINGS — Geraldine M. Germann, 77, a retired cashier, died Sunday, Nov. 11, 2001, at Palm Gardens of Ocala.
Mrs. Germann, a native of Mansfield, Ohio, came here from St. Petersburg in 1968. She was a cashier for Winn-Dixie in the Ocala-St. Petersburg area for 24 years. She was a member of the Church of Latter-day Saints of Ocala.
Mr. Germann was preceded in death by a son, Charles Leroy Lotz.
Survivors include her husband, Bruce E. Germann, Silver Springs; sons, Ronald Lotz, Citra, and Bruce R. SILVER SPRINGS — Stephen Wolfe, 70, a retired baker, died Friday, Nov. 9, 2001, at his home.
Mr. Wolfe was a native of New Bedford, Mass. He moved to the Ocala area five years ago, having lived most of his life in Miami.
Prior to his retirement he worked for Entenmann's Bakery Goods in Miami as a pastry chef and cake decorator. Prior to that he was employed by Arco Metals in manufacturing.

Mr. Arber served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
