OCALA — Frances "Frankie" Cone Colbert, 83, a retired director of continuing education for Waterman Hospital in Eustis, died Saturday, Nov. 10, 2001, in Indianapolis.
A native of Warwick, Ga., she moved here 50 years ago. Mrs. Colbert was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Ocala.
Survivors include her daughter, Judith Plocharczyk, Indianapolis; son, Russell C. Colbert Jr., Orlando; sisters, Irma Moody, Plant City, Eunice Young, Orlando and Nell Parker, Tampa; and two grandchildren.

Jack Elflein, 75
BEVERLY HILLS — Jack Elflein, 75, a retired construction steel worker, died Sunday, Nov. 11, 2001, in Crystal River.
A native of Mineola, N.Y., he moved here from New York two years ago. Mr. Elflein was a member of Destroyer Escort Sailor's Association. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Alice Elflein, Beverly Hills; daughter, Lynn McGuinness, Citrus Springs; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Anthony Gigante, 96
BEVERLY HILLS — Anthony Gigante, 96, a retired civil service worker, died Sunday, Nov. 11, 2001, in Lake Butler.
A native of Italy, he moved here from Forest Park, Ga., 30 years ago. Mr. Gigante was an active member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church and a member of Sportsman Club.
Survivors include his daughter, Patricia Honour, Lake Butler; two grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Elmo D. Goodson, 39
OCKLAWAHA — Elmo Dean Goodson, 39, owner and operator of Tree Frog Tree Service, died Friday, Nov. 9, 2001.
Mr. Goodson was a native of Fort Bragg, N.C. He was Baptist.
Survivors include his mother, Norma Goodson, Tavares; brothers, Kevin Goodson, Leesburg and James Goodson Jr., North Florida; sisters, Tamara Jo Summer, Winter Springs and Geri E. Hawkins, Ocala; and fiancee, Renee Twyman, Ocklawaha.

Rene A. Guenette, 84
OCALA — Rene A. Guenette, 84, a retired general food store manager, died Sunday, Nov. 11, 2001.
A native of Bourbonnais, Ill., he moved here from Steger, Ill., in 1960.
Survivors include his wife, Alice Guenette, Ocala; sons, Dave Guenette, Salt Springs, Tom Guenette and Ricky Guenette, both of Ocala; daughters, Carol Burley, Pompano Beach, Renee Galo, Palm Beach and Debbie Guenette, Phoenix; brother, Dan Guenette, Tucson; sister, Antoinette Mackler, Tucson; 14 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren.

Robert E. Lawrence, 76
AVON PARK — Robert E. Lawrence, 76, a retired structural engineer in the construction industry, died Thursday, Nov. 8, 2001, at Florida Hospital Hartland in Sebring.
Mr. Lawrence was a native of Weymouth, Mass. He was a member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, Disabled American Veterans and Veterans of Foreign Wars. Mr. Lawrence served in the U.S. Marine Corps during World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Rose Brault, Avon Park; daughters, Karen L. Shipley, Needham, Mass., Teresa A. Lawrence, Ocala and Paula Romanack, New Orleans; brothers, Frederick J. Lawrence and Richard Lawrence, both of Vermont; sisters, Marie Furman and Ruth Nuttal, both of Vermont; and three grandchildren.

Frederick B. Lewis, 92
OCALA — Frederick B. Lewis, 92, a retired driver for the state of Illinois Highway Division, died Sunday, Nov. 11, 2001, Ocala Regional Medical Center.
A native of Joliet, Ill., he moved here in 1980. Mr. Lewis was a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church; Teamsters Union; Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 367; Elks Lodge 2730, Silver Springs; American Association of Retired Persons; Democratic Club; and Knights of Columbus, Council 1812, Belleview.
He is survived by his wife, Olive L. Lewis, Ocala.
He is preceded in death by his son, John F. Lewis.

John M. Melsom, 84
SILVER SPRINGS — John M. Melsom, 84, owner and operator of a laundry and dry cleaning business, died Saturday, Nov. 10, 2001, at Ocala Regional Medical Center.
A native of Lancaster, Pa., he moved here from Pennsylvania. Mr. Melsom was a member of St. Joseph of the Forest Catholic Church and Knights of Columbus. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
Survivors include his daughter, Dolores C. Bachman, Conestoga, Pa.; four grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wives, Gladys Condon and Doris Melsom; and son, John M. Melsom Jr.

A native of Geneva, Ala., he moved here from Atlanta five years ago. Mr. Miller was a Baptist. He served in the Air Force during World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Faye P. Miller, Ocala; daughters, Jane Roberts, Dallas, Martha Langley, Portland, Ore., and Leann Lazzara, Tampa; sister, Lois Blackwood, Jacksonville; brother, Max Miller, Geneva; nine grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

A native of East St. Louis, Ill., he moved here from Anchorage, Alaska, in 1971. Mr. Nolen served in the Army during World War II and the Korean War.
Survivors include his sons, Ross K. Nolen, Ocala, Kevin L. Nolen, Anchorage and Charles A. Nolen II, Inari, Finland; daughter, Melody A. Steffens, Ocala; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

A native of Mansfield, Ohio, he moved here from Jacksonville in 1998. Mr. Turner was a U.S. Navy veteran.
Survivors include his wife, Beverly K. Turner, Lady Lake; daughter, Debra D. Marshall, Sugar Hill, Ga.; son, Norman R. Turner, Jacksonville; sister, Janet Hudson, Jacksonville; brothers, Robert Turner, Ridgecrest, Calif., and Jerry Turner, Long Island, N.Y.; and four grandchildren.

ORLANDO — Mabel Marie Iannarelli, 82, a homemaker, died Saturday, Nov. 10, 2001.
Mrs. Iannarelli was a native of Chisholm, Minn. She was Catholic.
Survivors include her sons, Daniel Iannarelli, Atlanta, Douglas Iannarelli, Ocala, and Ronald Iannarelli, Tampa; daughter, Mary Inman, Orlando; brothers, Antone Bartol, San Francisco, and Robert Bartol, Auburn, Calif.; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Betty Nesdall, 73
OCALA — Betty Nesdall, 73, a retired personnel director for Macy's department store, died Monday, Nov. 12, 2001, at Estelle's Hospice House.
A native of Bronx, N.Y., she moved here from New York City 25 years ago. Mrs. Nesdall attended Blessed Trinity Catholic Church.
Survivors include her brother-in-law, Barton Nesdall, Sarasota; and sisters-in-law, Helen Griffin, Leesburg, and Margaret Stienke, Altamonte Springs.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Francis Nesdall.
