OLIVE BRANCH, Miss. — Brooke Christian Monroe, 11, a middle school honor student, died Tuesday, Nov. 20, 2001.
Miss Monroe was a native of Maine. She was a member of Hope Baptist Church and Girls in Action.
Survivors include her mother, Pamela Merz, Olive Branch; father, David Monroe, Ocala; stepfather, Paul Merz, Olive Branch; sister, Hayley Monroe, Olive Branch; and grandparents, James and Charoltte Hogan, Bartlett, Tenn., Jeanette Merz, Memphis, Tenn., Susan Hancock and Ronald Monroe, both of Ocala.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hope Baptist Church Children's Ministry.

Joan Morehouse, 69
SUMMERFIELD — Joan Morehouse, 69, a homemaker, died Thursday, Nov. 22, 2001, Munroe Regional Medical Center in Ocala.
A native of Saginaw, Mich., she moved here from Frankenmuth, Mich., in 1997. Mrs. Morehouse was a member of Stonecrest Women's Golf League. She was Methodist.
Survivors include her husband, John A. Morehouse, Summerfield; daughter, Barbara Murphy, Covington, Ky.; son, John M. Morehouse, Tampa; and two grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Salvation Army, 320 N.W. First Ave., Ocala, Fla. 34470.

DUNNELLON — Edmund Morelli, 89, a retired police lieutenant for Lexington Police Department, died Wednesday, Nov. 21, 2001.
A native of Cambridge, Mass., he moved here from Lexington, Mass., in 1970. Mr. Morelli was a member of Holy Faith Episcopal Church. He served in the U.S. Army.
Survivors include his son, Jeffrey Morelli, London; and sister, Dora O'Halloran, Waltham, Mass.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Frances M. Morelli.

OCALA — Steven Page, 43, a commercial painter, died Tuesday, Nov. 20, 2001, at Ocala Regional Medical Center.
Mr. Page was a native of Rockledge. He was Baptist.
Survivors include his wife, Pamela A. Page, Ocala; son, Steven A. Page II, Ocala; daughters, Jessica M. Page and Bethenie Page, both of Ocala; stepson, Paul McIntyre, Ocala; brothers, Michael F. Page, Tampa, Paul Page, Leesburg, James Page, Tallahassee, Bryan Moats and Thomas Moats, both of Orlando; and sisters, Dianne Cauthen, Sparr, Cheryl Crawford and Alvina Rinebold, both of Ocala.

OCALA — Sylvia Mary Robinson, 70, a retired factory worker, died Wednesday, Nov. 21, 2001, at Estelle's Hospice House.
A native of Boston, she moved here from Hempstead, N.Y., in 1991. Mrs. Robinson was Catholic.
Survivors include her sons, Cleveland Robinson, Riverdale, Ga., and William Robinson Jr., Hampton, Ga.; daughters, Diane Rivera, Ocala, and Joy Gadsden, Las Vegas; sisters, Kathleen Kimber, Alaska, Barbara Hill, Mattapan, Mass., and Joan Kimber, Boston; brothers, Robert Armstead Jr., Thailand, Ronald Armstead, Connecticut, Roger Armstead, Fall River, Mass., Richard Armstead, Massachusetts, and Raymond Armstead, Boston; and six grandchildren.

Aura O. Thomas, 88
OCALA — Aura O. Thomas, 88, retired, died Friday, Nov. 16, 2001, at Ocala Regional Medical Center.
A native of Springfield, Ill., he moved here from Puerto Rico 10 years ago. Mr. Thomas was a 32nd degree Mason, member of Morlite Masonic Lodge No. 105, Scottish Rite of Freemasonry, and a volunteer at Rainbow Springs State Park in Dunnellon.
Survivors include his wife of 70 years, Alice I. Thomas, Ocala; daughter, Alice M. Toth, Farmington Hills, Mich.; son, Clark D. Thomas, Dearborn, Mich.; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Ashely Wallace, 17
OCALA — Ashely Wallace, 17, an employee of Publix and a student at Vanguard High School, died Thursday, Nov. 22, 2001.
A native of San Diego, she moved here from Tifton, Ga., 13 years ago. Miss Wallace was a member of the National Honor Society, Girl Scouts of America, Vanguard's Naval Junior Reserve Officers Training Corp., Blue Knights and Florida Future Educators of America. Miss Wallace was Baptist.
Survivors include her mother, Janeen Henley, Ocala; brother, Ryan Wallace, Ocala; and grandparents, Jenny and Robert Blanton, Salt Springs.

Joseph N. Zinnanti, 88
OCALA — Joseph N. Zinnanti, 88, a retired assistant to the vice president of Borden's Ice Cream, died Wednesday, Nov. 21, 2001, at Munroe Regional Medical Center.
A native of Brooklyn, N.Y., he moved here from Albuquerque, N.M., in 1995. Mr. Zinnanti was a member of Queen of Peace Catholic Church. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
Survivors include his wife of 67 years, Constance H. Zinnanti, Ocala; son, Joseph N. Zinnanti Jr., Cary, N.C.; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Rexford L. Benefield, 76
WILDWOOD — Rexford Lon Benefield, 76, a retired roofer, died Saturday, Nov. 24, 2001.
A native of Ocala, he moved to Wildwood from Ocala in 1974. Mr. Benefield was Baptist. He served in World War II.
Survivors include his son, Jack Severson, Wildwood; daughter, Dorothy Jean Severson, Wildwood; sisters, Doris Jean Braun, Belleview, and Roxie Price, Ocklawaha; five grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

CITRA — Betty Jo Collins, 60, a homemaker, died Friday, Nov. 23, 2001, at home.
A native of Ironton, Ohio, she moved here from Gilbert, W.Va in 1992. Mrs. Collins was a member of Life Line Community Church in Reddick.
Survivors include her husband, Wendell Collins, Citra; daughters, Sharon Smith, Ocala, Paiga Lester Harless, Gilbert; son, P.J. Collins, Gilbert; sister, Lucille Fortner, Gilbert; brothers, Earl Harless, Gilbert, Ray Harless, Citra, Marshall Harless, Bud Harless, Jimmy Harless, and James H. "Buck" Harless, all of Gilbert; and six grandchildren.

Carol S. Ellis, 58
OCALA — Carol S. Ellis, 58, an insurance agent for Western-Southern Insurance Co., died Friday, Nov. 23, 2001, at home.
A native of Hampden, W.Va., she moved here from Huntington, W.Va. 17 years ago. Mrs. Ellis was a member of First Baptist Church of Ocala.
Survivors include her husband, Clayton Ellis, Ocala; mother, Mattie Hatfield, Brandon; son, Clay Ellis, Ocala; daughters, Karen Ellis, Ocala, and Tammy Kincaid, Valrico; brothers, Buddy Hatfield, Denver, Dallan Hatfield, Oregon, Ohio, Wallace Hatfield, Brandon, and Terry Hatfield, Tampa; sisters, Shelba Hash, Enterprise, Ala., and Gloria Serrett, Oklahoma City; seven grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Carrie Elaine Ellis.

BEVERLY HILLS — Ann M. Gaumond, 78, a retired Avon cosmetics saleswoman, died Thursday, Nov. 22, 2001, in Inverness.
A native of Quebec, she moved here from Connecticut 13 years ago. Mrs. Gaumond was member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church and past president of the Ladies Guild in Connecticut at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church. She was an avid gardener and enjoyed crocheting and knitting.
Survivors include her husband, Jean P. Gaumond, Beverly Hills; sons, Richard Gaumond, Medford, Ore., Michael Gaumond, California; daughters, Lydia Aiudi, Connecticut, Theresa Shanahan, Maine, and Claudia McKinney, Connecticut; six brothers and four sisters; and eight grandchildren.

OCALA — John M. Kurelmeyer, 66, retired owner of Southern Industrial Tires of North Florida, died Thursday, Nov. 22, 2001, at home.
A native of St. Louis, he moved here from West Palm Beach in 1985. Mr. Kurelmeyer was of Christian faith, a Bible teacher and member of the Christian Businessman's Association. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps.
Survivors include daughters, Lakota D. Sheawa, Marianna, Laura S. Carmer and Kathryn E. Richard, both of Ocala; son, Jon M. Kurelmeyer, Ocala; brother, Clifford A. Kurelmeyer Jr., Ocala; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

BEVERLY HILLS — Susan E. Sanzari, 87, a retired bookkeeper for an architecture firm, died Thursday, Nov. 22, 2001, in Hernando.
A native of Mount Vernon, N.Y. Ms. Sanzari was a member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church.
She is survived by her sister, Mildred Rainone, Beverly Hills.

Margaret L. Baddock, 70
CRYSTAL RIVER — Margaret Leslie Baddock, 70, died Friday, Nov. 23, 2001, in Crystal River.
A native of Portsmouth, N.H., she moved to this area in 1983 from Haverhill, Mass.
Mrs. Baddock was Protestant. She was a member of the Senior Stitchers of Crystal River.
Survivors include her husband, Kenneth James Baddock, Crystal River; son, James W. Baddock, Haverhill; daughter, Joan L. Floris, Shirley, Mass.; brothers, Robert Bruce, Beverly Hills; sisters, Anna Small, N. Hampton, N.H. and June Berry, Crystal River; two grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

OCALA — Barbara H. Crandon, 64, a data processor for Certified Grocers for 17 years, died Saturday, Nov. 24, 2001, at Munroe Regional Medical Center.
A native of Hartford, Conn., she came here in 1978 from Meriden, Conn.
Survivors include her husband, George B. Crandon, Ocala; daughters, Tammi Liska, Chatham, Mass., Diane Patchell, Panacea, and Debra Colcord, Portland, Maine; son, Dale Smith, Wellfleet, Mass.; brother, George Hale, Henderson, Tenn.; and five grandchildren.

Georgina Diaz, 84
BELLEVIEW — Georgina Diaz, 84, a retired applicant cutter in the clothing industry, died Saturday, Nov. 24, 2001, at University Village Nursing Center, Tampa.
A native of Las Piedras, Puerto Rico, she came here 20 years ago from New York City.
She was Catholic.
Mrs. Diaz was preceded in death by a son, Luis C. Diaz.
Survivors include her husband, Octavio Diaz, New York; daughter, Lucy Diaz, Tampa; sons, Frankie Diaz, New York, and Mario Diaz, Arizona; sister, Rosita Torres, Belleview; six grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Joyce Lengyel, 73
OCALA — Joyce H. Lengyel, 73, retired director of Clinical Social Work at Geauga Family Services in Chardon, Ohio, died Sunday, Nov. 25, 2001, at her home.
A native of Youngstown, Ohio, Mrs. Lengyel came here from Chardon, Ohio in 1997.
She was an instructor in the Department of Psychiatry at Ohio State University School of Medicine and a clinical social worker with the Family Services Association of Greater Boston. She held memberships with the Licensed Independent Social Workers, National Association of Social Workers and Academy of Certified Social Workers.
Survivors include her husband, Michael J. Lengyel, Ocala; son, Hays R. Lengyel, Syracuse, N.Y.; and one grandson.
The family requests material tributes be sent to Margaret B. Heaslip Scholarship Fund, Morehead State University, MSU Foundation, 160 University Boulevard, Morehead, KY 40351.

LADY LAKE — Florence M. Matejovitz, 97, a homemaker, died Saturday, Nov. 24, 2001, at Hampton Manor in Belleview.
A native of Otisville, Mich., she came here from Roscommon, Mich.
She was a member of St. Mary Episcopal Church in Belleview.
Mrs. Matejovitz was preceded in death by her husbands, Max Shaw and Joseph Matejovitz.
She is survived by a niece, Marlene Monton of Lady Lake.
