OCALA — Gale McMichael, 79, a retired self-employed farmer, died Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2001, at Munroe Regional Medical Center.
A native of York, Mich., he moved here from Auburndale six months ago. Mr. McMichael was a member of Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge No. 677. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. Mr. McMichael was Protestant.
Survivors include his wife of 28 years, Ruth R. McMichael, Ocala; son, Rodney McMichael, Charlotte, Mich.; stepson, Gary Rittenhouse, Coldwater, Mich.; daughter, Roxanna McMichael, Holt, Mich.; stepdaughter, Ellen Milstead, Ocala; 11 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.

OCALA — Roy Lee Miller, 73, a ticket clerk for Amtrak, died Thursday, Nov. 29, 2001, at Sylvia's Hospice House.
A native of Adrian, Mich., he moved here from San Antonio in 1992. Mr. Miller served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was Protestant.
Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Miller, Ocala; daughter, Linda L. Shropshire, Davenport; brother, Jack A. Miller, Fairfield, Mich.; one grandchild; and two great-grandchildren.

McINTOSH — Mildred L. O'Mara, 68, administrative assistant, died Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2001.
A native of Waynesville, Ill., she moved here from Indianapolis in 1993. Mrs. O'Mara was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Ladies Auxiliary. She was Protestant.
Survivors include her husband of 50 years, Robert O'Mara, McIntosh; sons, Neal E. O'Mara, Naperville, Ill., and Kevin W. O'Mara, Lincolnton, N.C.; daughters, Leilani O'Mara, McIntosh, and Valerie Williams, Pocahontas, Ark.; and eight grandchildren.

A native of Ben Avon, Pa., he came to Citrus Springs from Sarasota in 1987. Mr. Campbell was Protestant.

OCALA — Robert S. Chew, 76, an engineer, died Friday, Nov. 30, 2001, at his home.
A native of Pleasantville, N.J., he came here from Ararat, Pa., four months ago. Mr. Chew was a member of Our Lady of the Springs Catholic Church and the New Jersey Volunteer Fire Department and Rescue Squad of Jefferson Township. He was president of the New Jersey Water Pollution Control Association.

Survivors include her sons, Harold F. Story, Tampa, and Richard D. Story, Hawthorne; daughters, Dorothy S. DUNNELLON — Milton E. Johnson, 88, a retired golf starter, died Monday, Nov. 26, 2001, at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Lake City.
A native of Washington, D.C., he came here from Washington five years ago. He was a U.S. Navy veteran and a member of the Second Bethel Missionary Baptist Church.
Mr. Johnson is survived by his wife, Nellie Johnson, Dunnellon.

Mrs. Quick is survived by her husband, Robert L. Quick, Summerfield; daughters, Rhonda Snodgrass, Galena, Ohio, and Theresa Hunt, Avon Park; son, Ronald L. Quick, Columbus; sisters, Rita Rose Harrington, Belleview, and Ruth Gearry, Avon Park; and five grandchildren.

BEVERLY HILLS — Kathleen E. Reilly, 86, a homemaker, died Sunday, Dec. 2, 2001, in Hernando.
A native of Ireland, she came here in 1980 from Long Island, N.Y. She was a member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church and the Catholic Women's Club there, the Irish American Club of Beverly Hills, and the Ladies Auxiliary of the Knights of Columbus.
She is survived by several nieces and nephews.

Ernest F. Smith 76
WILLISTON — Ernest F. "Pete" Smith, 76, a retired law enforcement officer, died Saturday, Dec. 1, 2001, at the Alachua General at Shands Hospital in Gainesville.
Mr. Smith was a native and lifelong resident of Williston. He would have marked his 77th birthday on Jan. 17.
A U.S. Navy veteran of World War II, he was a police officer for the Williston Police Department for five years and for the Levy County Sheriff's Office for 23 years. During his law enforcement career, in addition to police chief, he served as deputy, investigator, chief deputy and chief investigator.
He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Williston.
Survivors include his wife, Betty Smith, Williston; daughters, Linda McGruther, Ocala, and Greta Rice, Gainesville; son, Mark Smith, Newberry; sister, Mrs. Bill Hickox, Ocala; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
