OCALA — John Henry Taylor, 74, a retired entertainment promoter, died Monday, Dec. 3, 2001.
A native of Gadsden, Ala., he moved here from Cincinnati in 1990. Mr. Taylor was a member of Light House Church of God and Palm Cay Republican Club. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Margie Taylor, Ocala; daughter, Cynthia Snyder, Yucca Valley, Calif.; sons, Steve Taylor, Ocala, Jefferey Taylor, Columbus, Ohio, and Tim Taylor, West Palm Beach; 16 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Teresa E. Attanasio, 80
OCALA — Teresa E. Attanasio, 80, a retired office manager for the Honeywell Corporation, died Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2001, at Ocala Regional Medical Center.
Mrs. Attanasio was a native of Newark, N.J. She was a member of Queen of Peace Catholic Church.
Survivors include her husband, Albert Attanasio, Ocala; daughters, Linda Mastrogiovanni, Lanoka Harbor, N.J. and Vincentia Coon, Orlando.; sons, Larry Sampieri, Lanoka Harbor and Leonard Sampieri, Barnegat Bay, N.J.; sister, Lucy DiMauro, Toms River, N.J.: 10 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Dorothy B. Baker, 71
STREATOR, ILL. — Dorothy Belle Baker, 71, a former inspector for Owen's-Illinois Glass, died Wednesday, Dec. 5, 2001, at St. Mary's Hospital in Streator.
A native of Henry, Ill., she was a former resident of Salt Springs.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert O. Baker, 1995 and son, Terry Baker.
She is survived by her son, Timothy Baker, Streator; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Norvin G. Braswell, 69
OCALA — Norvin G. Braswell, 69, a retired food service officer for the United States Navy, died Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2001, in Ocala.
A native of Waynesburg, Ky., he moved to Ocala 11 years ago from Pensacola.
Mr. Braswell was a U.S. Navy veteran serving in the Korean and Vietnam Wars. He was a lifetime member of the organization of Disabled American Veterans and a member of the Fleet Reserve.
Survivors include his wife, Lethia Braswell, Ocala; sons, Michael Braswell and Thomas Braswell, both of Cincinnati; Robert Giles, Hernando and Richard Giles, Sanford, N.C.; daughters, Linda Matamala, Fort Myers, Dollie James, Pace, Sandra Martin, Portsmouth, Va., and Marilyn Buffington, Baker; sister, Lois J. Ritchie, Covington; 17 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Bolivar Colon, 70
SUMMERFIELD — Bolivar Colon, 70, a 12-year police veteran, died Monday, Dec. 3, 2001, at Munroe Regional Medical Center.
A native of Manhattan, N.Y., he moved to Summerfield in 1997 from Charlotte, N.C. Mr. Colon served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War and worked in the garment industry and as an accountant in Santa Clara, Calif. He was a member of the Elks Lodge in Belleview and St. Theresa Catholic Church.
Survivors include his wife of 22 years, Franca Colon of Summerfield; son, Steve Colon, Santa Clara, Calif.; stepsons, Raymond and Frank Greco, both of North Carolina; two daughters, Rhonda Bonville and Linda Lago, both of Tennessee; stepdaughter, Silvana Gallo, Palatka; brother, Victor Colon, Brooklyn, N.Y.; sister, Mary Aldrette, Sacramento, Calif.; and 10 grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.

Douglas H. Haff, 71
DUNNELLON — Douglas H. "Doug" Haff, 71, an auto repairman, died Sunday, Dec. 2, 2001, at his residence.
A native of Baldwin, Long Island, N.Y., he moved to Dunnellon 16 years ago. Mr. Haff was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War. He was a member of the VFW Post of Dunnellon. Mr. Haff was Methodist.
Survivors include his daughter, Cheryl Sarne, White River Junction, Vt.; son, Todd Haff, White River Junction; sister, Johanna Lorbiefski, Port Charlotte; brother, Charles Haff, Ocala; and seven grandchildren.

Robert L. House Jr., 92
OCALA — Robert L. House Jr., 92, a retired craftsman, died Wednesday, Dec. 5, 2001, at Oakhurst Rehabilitation and Nursing Center.
A native of Philadelphia, Pa., he moved to Ocala in 1974 from New Jersey. Mr. House was a life member of the Telephone Pioneers.
Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Edith House, Ocala; son, Robert L. House III., Ocala; and sister, Harriett Fenimore, Largo.

Sophie E. Kelley, 80
SUMMERFIELD — Sophie E. Kelley, 80, a homemaker, died Monday, Dec. 3, 2001, at Munroe Regional Medical Center.
A native of Athens, Wis., she moved here from Pontiac, Mich., four years ago. Mrs. Kelley was Protestant.
Survivors include her husband of 55 years, Loren L. Kelley, Summerfield; daughters, Earline Burt, Waterford, Mich. and Doll Parker, Summerfield; sons, Robert C. Kelley, Au Gres, Mich., Dennis L. Kelley, Mount Clemens, Mich., and Loren L. Kelley Jr., Pontiac, Mich.; brother, Rudy Muenchow, Pelican Lake, Wis.;
10 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

INVERNESS — Helen Pfeiffer, 90, a department store cashier, died Wednesday, Dec. 5, 2001, in Hernando.
A native of Germany, she moved to Inverness in 1997 from New York City. Mrs. Pfeiffer was a member of the Storeworkers Union.
Survivors include her sisters, Wilma Leins of Inverness and Anni Alberti of Germany.

Evelyn L. Roy, 66
OCALA — Evelyn L. Roy, 66, a retired homemaker, died Friday, Nov. 30, 2001, at Munroe Regional Medical Center.
A native of Providence, R.I., she moved to Ocala in 1991 from Port Orange. Mrs. Roy was a member of The Ladies Auxiliary VFW Post No. 4209 and the Ladies Auxiliary of the Moose No. 1199. She was a member of Blessed Trinity Catholic Church.
Survivors include her husband of 44 years, Eugene A. Roy Sr., Ocala; sons, Eugene A. Roy Jr., Pensacola, Edward Roy, Riverside, N.J., and Ernest Roy, Virginia Beach, Va.; brother, Bernard Preston, Cocoa Beach; and Dorothy Hammond, Warwick, R.I.; and eight grandchildren.

CITRA — Ronnie James Tuggerson, 45, a retired construction laborer, died Wednesday, Dec. 5, 2001, in Ocala.
A native of Reddick, he was a lifetime resident of Citra. Mr. Tuggerson was Pentecostal.
Survivors include his wife, Otilia L. Tuggerson, Ocala; daughters, Tawanna Mickens, Ocala and Tiffany Tuggerson, Hawthrone; father, Jimmie Tuggerson Sr., Reddick; brothers, Jimmy Washington Sr., Ocala, Bishop Bernard Tuggerson Sr., Fort McCoy, Jimmie Tuggerson Jr., Hawthrone and Alvis Tuggerson, Reddick; sisters, Carolyn Munnerlyn, Reddick, Joyce Tuggerson, Summerfield, JoAnn Tuggerson, Fort McCoy and Janice Tuggerson, Fort Myers; and three grandchildren.

William D. Barton, 85
DUNNELLON — William Dennis Barton, 85, a retired industrial engineer, died Thursday, Dec. 6, 2001, at home.
A native of Hot Springs, Ark., he moved here from Mountain Home, Ark., three years ago. Mr. Barton was also owner of Barton Enterprises of Danville, Calif.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara Barton, Dunnellon; sons, William D. Barton Jr., Sierra Vista, Ariz., and Colonel I. Barton, Vancouver, Wash.; stepsons, Richard G. Kelly, Coral Springs and Larry J. Kelly, Sanford; daughters, Barbara Lane, Suisun City, Calif., and Ginger Barton, Castro Valley, Calif.; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

INVERNESS — Santiago Gillan Jr., 84, a retired quality control specialist, died Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2001.
A native of San Juan, Puerto Rico, he moved here from Brentwood, N.Y., 23 years ago. Mr. Gillan was a member of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church and the Spanish American Club. He served in the U.S. Merchant Marines.
He is survived by his sisters, Leticia Rodriguez and Irma Rivera, both of Tampa.

Carman L. Hoovler, 76
OCALA — Carman "Mike" Livingston Hoovler, 76, a retired personnel security director, died Wednesday, Dec. 5, 2001, at Veterans Administration Medical Center in Gainesville.
A native of Pittsburgh, he moved here from Dunedin. Mr. Hoovler was a member of the Elks. He was Methodist. Mr. Hoovler served in the U.S. Marine Corps during World War II.
Survivors include his wife Rose Marie Hoovler, Ocala; daughter, Charlene D. Colbert, Alexandria, Va.; sons, C. Daniel Maddox, Weston and Guy M. Hoovler, Glen Ridge, N.J.; brother, Charles Hoovler, The Plains, Va.; and three grandchildren.

OCALA — Roxie Rosalie Huff, 85, a homemaker, died Wednesday, Dec. 5, 2001, at home.
A native of Franklin, Pa., she moved here in 1992. Mrs. Huff was a member of County Homemakers Association and the Oakland Grange, and she attended Druid Hills United Methodist Church.
Survivors include her sons, John N. Huff Jr., Franklin and Rev. Dr. Ronald Huff, Mentor, Ohio; daughters, Kathleen L. Haylett, Franklin, Lois H. Exley and Patricia I. Bass, both of Ocala; sisters, Betty Kane, Louisville, Ky., and Charlotte Robins, Franklin; 18 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Huff.

Survivors include his wife, Patricia Joyce, Dunnellon; son, Kenneth Joyce III, Wallingford; stepson, Dominic Deola, Ocala; daughter, Dawn Beaudry, Wallingford; stepdaughter, Antoinette Brewen, Fort McCoy; brothers, Burt Joyce, Tacoma, Wash., and Daniel Joyce, Hamden; sister, Carol Joyce, Noblesville, Ind.; and two grandchildren.

A native of Columbia, Mo., she was a former resident of Ocala. Mrs. McKeown was a member of Presbyterian Church, Keen-Agers Club, Water Aerobic Group and Alhambra Hall Bridge Club.
Survivors include her daughter, Beth Elsey, South Carolina; son, Patrick G. McKeown, Athens, Ga.; two grandchildren; and one step-grandchild.
