Ruth M. Aronoff, 86, died Sunday September 30.
She is survived by: two sons, Dr. Michael Aronoff of Bloomington,
Indiana and Dr. George Aronoff of Louisville; a daughter, Rebecca Neuwirth
of Huntington Beach, California; daughter in-laws Janee Aronoff of Bloomington,
Indiana and Angie Aronoff of Louisville; seven grandchildren and five great
grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held at 11:30am (CDT) at the Springdale Cemetery in
Peoria, Illinois.

Robert J. Frockt, 81, of Mobile, Alabama and a longtime resident
of Louisville, died Friday September 28, 2001.
He was the founder and former owner of Royal Jewelers and was
very active in the jewelry industry. He was an Army Veteran of World War II.
He is survived by: his sons, Stephen and Richard Frockt; his daughter,
Sandee F. Schulwolf; one brother, Alvin "Buddy" Frockt; one sister,
` Rose Lee Morris; six grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00am at Adath Jeshurun Cemetery.

Max Yanoff, 86, of Louisville, died Saturday at Four Courts Senior Center.
He was the former owner of Railroad Salvage in New Albany, Indiana,
Max's Hardware and a member of Keneseth Israel Congregation.
He is survived by: his son, Dr. Jay Yanoff of Maple Glen, Pennsylvania;
a daughter, Joan Hechter of Deerfield, Illinois; two sisters, Nettie Schwartz
and Celia Morguelan; six grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Graveside services will be at 2:00 pm at the family lot in Keneseth Israel

Max Levinstein, 79, died Monday morning at Baptist Hospital East.
He was a member of St. George Lodge and of Keneseth Israel
Congregation.
He is survived by his wife Harryette Levinstein.

Israel Cemetery, 719 Locust Lane.

Betty Chutkow, 73, died Wednesday after a long illness.
She was a native of Bronx, New York, a school teacher in both
Detroit and Louisville and specialized in teaching children with
learning disabilities. Her second career and life-long passion was
the world of theatre. She performed in "Cabaret", "Arsenic and Old
Lace" and "Fiddler on the Roof". She received her undergraduate
degree from the University of Michigan, a M.A.E.D. from the Univer-
sity of Louisville and a degree from the London Academy of Music and
Dramatic Arts. She also took several graduate courses at the University
of Louisville Department of Theatre Arts.
She moved to Louisville in 1958. Her first marriage to the late Ben Hanish,
ended with his death in 1968; she later married Dr. Lee Chutkow in 1973.
She was a member of th4e Amit Women and Anshei Sfard Congregation.
She is survived by: her husband, Dr. Lee Chutkow; her daughter, Jennifer
Baldwin of Tucson, Arizona; one son-in-law, Hillel Baldwin of Tucson, Arizona;
one son, Jonathan Hanish; one daughter-in-law, Lisa Hanish; and two grand-
daughters, Lila Hanish and Sydney Hanish.
Funeral services will be held at 12:30pm with interment
following in Anshei Sfard
Cemetery, 721 Locust Lane. Visitation will begin after 11:30am.

and a sister, Marcia (Raul) Farroch.

She was the former Devorah Schlossberg. She was a member of The
Temple, Hadassah, National Council of Jewish Women, and Standard
Country Club.
She is survived by: her husband, Charles Isenberg; one daughter, Susan
Fran Isenberg of New York, New York; one son, James E. Isenberg; one
sister, Pauline Lindenbaum of Miami, Florida; one brother, Al "Sonny"
Schlossberg of Akron, Ohio; and four grandchildren, Loren, Jamie, William
and Evan Isenberg.

one daughter, Barbara Haines of Columbia; a brother, Paul Weiser of Louisville;
and five grandchildren.

Mitchell Pearlman, 88, died Sunday at his home. He was member of
Congregation Adath Jeshurun, Kosair Shrine Temple, Scottish Rite,
George Washington Masonic Lodge and also of the Jewish Community
Center. Mr. Pearlman was also a retired jewelry salesman.
He is survived by: his wife, Zelda Pearlman; a daughter, Simone Strange;
a sister, Beatrice Levine, of Chicago, IL; one brother, Joe Pearlman of Florida;
two grandchildren, Shelly and Arthur Stern; and two great grandchildren,
Jennifer Megan Gaddis and Joshua Adam Gaddis.
Visitation will be on Tuesday evening from 7:00pm to 9:00pm. There will also
be one hour of visitation before the funeral service. Funeral services will be
held at 1:30pm. Interment
will follow in the Adath Jeshurun Cemetery, 2926
Preston Highway.
