Blanche V. Barnett, 86
OCALA — Blanche V. Barnett, 86, a retired corrections officer for the Florida Department of Corrections died Saturday, Aug. 18, at Munroe Regional Medical Center.
A native of Alachua County, she came to Marion County in 1933. She was a member of the Kendrick Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Barnett and a daughter, Nell B. NeSmith.
Mrs. Barnett is survived by a daughter, Nan B. NeSmith of Ocala; a sister, Mae Vaughn, Alachua County; one granddaughter and two great-grandchildren.

Billy W. Brimmage, 73
ANTHONY — Billy W. Brimmage, 73, a Pentecostal evangelist, died Saturday, Aug.18, at his residence.
A native of Leachville, Ark., he came to Marion County from Largo. He was a member of the United Pentecostal Church of Ocala.
The Rev. Brimmage is survived by his wife of 50 years, Barneas Brimmage, of Anthony; a son, David Brimmage, Anthony; daughters Kathy Smoot, New Port Richey, Dorothy Brimmage, Largo; brothers, David Brimmage, Inverness, Eugene Brimmage, Valdosta, Ga., and Carlton Brimmage, Tampa; a sister, Mary Adamson, Spring Hill; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

James Catapano, 84
OCALA — James Catapano, 84, retired owner and master plumber of Catapano Plumbing, died Saturday, Aug.18 at Palm Gardens.
A native of Newark, N.J., Mr. Catapano came to Marion County from Orlando in 1983.
He was a member of the Blessed Trnity Catholic Church, and the Knights of Columbus in New Jersey. He was a U.S.Army veteran of World War II.
Mr. Catapano is survived by his wife of 25 years, Julia Catapano of Ocala; a son, Robert Catapano of Stratford, Conn.; a daughter, Susanne Patroska, Valdosta, Ga.; a sister, Rose Prestifillippo, Verona, N.J.; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donationa may be made to the American Cancer Societ in his hame.

Alan T. Carson, 73
FORT MCCOY — Alan "Tom" Thomas Carson, 73, a master electrician, died Wednesday, Aug. 15, 2001, at Estelle's Hospice House in Ocala.
A native of Muskeegan County, Mich., he moved here from Jacksonville in 1968. Mr. Carson retired from the U.S. Navy. He was a member of American Legion, Fleet Reserve, Masons and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 10208 in Salt Springs. Mr. Carson was Methodist.
Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Mary B. Carson, Fort McCoy; daughter, Lori Wilkinson, Niagara Falls, N.Y.; brothers, Robert Carson, Silver Springs, Eugene Carson, Hemlock, Mich., and Harold Meire, Midland, Mich.; and sister, May Yarborough, Ocklawaha.

Frederick J. Kittelberger, 80
OCALA — Frederick Jay Kittelberger, 80, a retired receiving clerk for Eastman Kodak Co., died Thursday, Aug. 16, 2001, at Ocala Regional Medical Center.
A native of Rochester, N.Y., he moved here in 1983. Mr. Kittelberger served in the U.S. Air Force during World War II and the Korean War. He was Baptist.
Survivors include his wife of 22 years, Ruth A. Kittelberger, Ocala; sons, Stephen Kittelberger and Thomas Kittelberger, both of Rochester; daughters, Janice Khan, Rochester, and Jacqueline Cavanagh, Reading, Mass.; sisters, Betty Wandling, Lois Williams and Doris Roworth, all of Rochester; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchildren.

Mary E. Klepac, 52
SILVER SPRINGS — Mary E. Klepac, 52, a programmer and consultant, died Sunday, Aug. 19, 2001.
A native of Evergreen Park, Ill., she moved here 18 years ago. Mrs. Klepac was a member of Central Church of Christ.
Survivors include her husband of 22 years, Stanley R. Klepac, Silver Springs; sisters, Carol Carlson, Van Nuys, Calif., and Anna Langtry, Forest Lake, Minn.; and brother, Emil J. Carlson, Palos Hills, Ill.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.

Nellie M. Loveday, 84
OCKLAWAHA — Nellie Myrtle Loveday, 84, a homemaker, died Sunday, Aug. 19, 2001, at home under hospice care.
A Tennessee native of Tennessee, she moved to Ocklawaha from Belleview last yearone year ago. Mrs. Loveday was a member of Moss Bluff Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband of 59 years, Revis J. Loveday, Ocklawaha; sons, Joseph Loveday, Hollywood, and Earl Loveday, Belleview; daughters, Thelma Vinson and Margaret Northcut, both of Ocklawaha; brother, Herschel Dulworth, Indiana.; sisters, Jenny Frey and Lucille Jordan, both of Indiana; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

BEVERLY HILLS — Blanche A. Ott, 82, a homemaker, died Friday, Aug. 17, 2001, in Crystal River.
A native of Germany, she moved here from Walden, N.Y., in 1982. Mrs. Ott was Catholic.
Survivors include her husband of 61 years, Carl Ott, Beverly Hills; son, William Ott, Walden; daughters, Karolina Albro, Beverly Hills, and Kathy Valerio, Saratoga Springs, N.Y.; sisters, Bertha Hopkins, Boston, Frances Huesch, Ramsey, N.J., Hilda Schaeffer, Freidel Killian and Rose Gaim, all of Germany; 11 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

CITRA — Nina Powell, 70, a homemaker, died Sunday, Aug. 19, 2001.
A native of Dayton, Ohio, she moved here in 1975.
Survivors include her sons, Barry D. Powell and Douglas A. Powell, both of Citra; daughters, Donna J. Mumford, Citra, and Karon L. Crawford, Dayton; brother, Johnny Mason, Dayton; sisters, Mary Isaacs, Vandalia, Ohio, and Janet Boggs, Englewood, Ohio, Freda Hamm and Barbara Voge, both of Dayton; 11 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Nelson H. Reed, 52
HERNANDO — Nelson Hall Reed, 52, a finish carpenter, died Friday, Aug. 17, 2001.
A native of Bar Harbor, Maine, Mr. Reed was also a resident of Bristol, Maine. He was a member of Disabled American Veterans and Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Survivors include his wife, Sara N. Reed, Hernando and Bristol; son, Kristopher Reed, Bristol; stepsons, Howard Reed and Travis Reed, Waldoboro, Maine; daughters, Shelly Roberson, Chiefland, and Tiffany Reed, Carabbassett Valley, Maine; stepdaughters, Ami Smith, Waterville, Maine, and Katherine Reed, Waldoboro; parents, Elwood and Anne Reed, Bar Harbor; brothers, Dennis Moore, Inverness, and Lee Jones, East Sullivan, Maine; and five grandchildren.

Julia Simpson, 100
OCALA — Julia Simpson, 100, a homemaker, died Sunday, Aug. 19, 2001, at Harborside Healthcare Center.
A native of Cleveland, she moved here from Anaheim, Calif.; in 1985. She enjoyed fishing, traveling and white-water rafting.
Survivors include her daughters, Ila S. Bryan, Ocala, June Dorsey, Irvine, Calif., and Edna Luther, Newport Beach, Calif.; seven grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her son, William A. Simpson.

Daniel R. Sutton Sr., 57
DUNNELLON — Daniel R. Sutton Sr., 57, a retired mine foreman, died Monday, Aug. 20, 2001, in Jacksonville.
A native of Long Run, Ohio, he moved here from West Virginia in 1986. Mr. Sutton was an active member of Central Christian Church of Ocala and a member of the American Legion. He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War.
Survivors include his wife, Linda Jo Sutton, Dunnellon; daughters, Crystal D.A. Sutton-Seaman, Hartford, Ala., Danielle R.M. Sutton, Jessica A.C. Sutton and Kandy L. Sutton, all of Dunnellon; parents, William and Dorothy Sutton, Orlando; brothers, William Sutton, Martins Ferry, Ohio, James Sutton, Flushing, Ohio, and Rodger Sutton, Clermont; and three grandchildren.

Lillian D. Cromp, 86
OCALA — Lillian D. Cromp, 86, a retired electronic parts assembler, died Monday, Aug. 20, 2001, at Munroe Regional Medical Center.
A native of Lakeland, N.Y., she moved to Ocala 30 years ago from Port Byron, N.Y. Mrs. Cromp was a member of Bible Baptist Church.
Survivors include her daughter, Donna Sellers, Summerfield; sister, Katherine Wicks, Constantia, N.Y.; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Pat J. Hunter, 74
OCALA — Pat Johnston Hunter, 74, a horse farm manager, died Sunday, Aug. 19, 2001.
A native of Valkaria, he moved here from Immokalee in 1949.
Mr. Hunter was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. He was a member of Fellowship Lodge 53 F&AM and the Ocala Shrine Club.
Mr. Hunter was Baptist.
Survivors include his daughters, Patty Hanson, Apopka and Thressa Maier, Oxford; son, Hugh Hunter, Orange Springs; brothers, Skeeter Hunter, Morriston and Ira Hunter, La Belle; and five grandchildren.

Clarissa M. Jordan, 82
CROSS CITY — Clarissa Mae Jordan, 82, owner and operator of Jordan Jewelers in Atlanta, died Monday, Aug. 20, 2001.
A native of Conyers, Ga., she was a resident of Ocala.
Mrs. Jordan was first runner-up in the Miss Atlanta pageant at age 18. She enjoyed boating.
Survivors include her daughter, Brenda B. Watson, Austin, Texas; son, Robert J. Bennett, Dallas; sisters, Ina Kelley, Conyers, and Ella McGiboney, Stone Mountain, Ga.; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by husbands, Robert J. Bennett and Julian R. Jordan, and a daughter, Angela B. Beaver.

Jeanette C. Martin, 59
OXFORD — Jeanette C. Martin, 59, a homemaker, died Monday, Aug. 20, 2001.

Survivors include her husband, Joe Martin, Oxford; sons, Clifford Woodall, O'Brien and Christopher Martin, Oxford; daughters, Anna Hatfield, Wildwood; brother, Arthur LeBlanc, Dearborn Heights, Mich.; sisters, Loretta Martin and Beulah Anderson, both of Clarkston, Mich.; and two grandchildren.

Survivors include her husband, Lawrence Murphy, Ocala; sons, Jerry R. Murphy, Terry D. Murphy and Daniel E. Murphy, all of Ocala; daughters, Sandra R. Gleuck, Belleville, and Debra A. Murphy, Ocala; brother, Charles Matlock, Edgewood, Ill.; sister, Velma Weaver, Edgewood; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Lottie R. Naumes, 95
INVERNESS — Lottie R. Naumes, 95, a retired registered nurse, died Tuesday, Aug. 21, 2001.
A native of Rochester, Ind., she moved here from St. Petersburg in 1997. Mrs. Naumes was a member of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church in Inverness. She graduated from Indianapolis City Hospital School of Nursing.
Survivors include her sons, Robert E. Naumes, Inverness, and Father Matthew P. Naumes, Inverness; and two grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward P. Naumes, on Oct. 6, 1989.

Dolores J. Pratola, 90
SILVER SPRINGS — Dolores J. Pratola, 90, a retired employee of Pan American Airlines, died Thursday, Aug. 16, 2001.
Mrs. Pratola was a native of Cleveland. She was Episcopalian.
Survivors include her husband, Ralph Pratola, Silver Springs; daughters, Harriet Polefko, Silver Springs, and Nancy DePew, Rockmart, Ga.; brother, Burt Jones, Port St. Lucie; sisters, Janice Fisher, Lakewood, Ohio, Jeannie Witherill, Newberry Park, Calif., and Sue Brown, Miami; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
