ELSIE WAS A LONGTIME BUSINESS OWNER AND OPERATOR OF THE CREAM TOP DAIRY QUEEN IN IRONDALE, MISSOURI, FOR TWENTY-ONE YEARS. SHE ENJOYED SPENDING HER SPARE TIME CANNING, SEWING AND RELAXING WITH THE TELEVISION. ELSIE WAS AN AVID CARDINAL FAN ALWAYS TAKING TIME TO SUPPORT THEM.
ELSIE HAD A GREAT LOVE IN HER HEART FOR FAMILY, FRIENDS AND ASSOCIATES. HER DAILY SMILE, KIND WORD OR HER OPEN EAR LIFTED THE SPIRITS OF ANYONE WHO SAW HER.

FUNERAL MASS WAS CELEBRATED MONDAY, JUNE 18, 2001 AT THE ST. JOACHIM CATHOLIC CHURCH AT 10:00 AM WITH FATHER TED PIEPER OFFICIATING. MUSIC WAS PROVIDED BY THE ST. JOACHIM CHURCH CHOIR. HONORING VIRGINIA AS PALL BEARERS WERE JOE PORTELL, RANDY PORTELL, BILL PORTELL, CARLEY PORTELL AND NOONIE RUNDEL. BURIAL WAS IN THE ST. JOACHIM CATHOLIC CHURCH CEMETERY IN OLD MINES, MISSOURI.
