Vivian Johnson
Vivian Johnson, age 93, of Fort Walton Beach, Fla., passed away Sunday morning, Nov. 14, 1999, at her residence.
Mrs. Johnson was born on June 6, 1906, in Buckhorn, Ky., to the late Isac and Polly Johnson. She was a resident of Fort Walton Beach since 1995, moving here from Canton, Mich.
She is survived by her daughter, Dorothy Godsey of Fort Walton Beach; grandson, Thomas Godsey of Canton; granddaughter, Vivian Rowland and husband Ken of Fort Walton Beach; great-grandsons, Thomas Godsey and Jamie Godsey, both of Canton; and great-great-granddaughters, Brittany, Anntara, Rachel and Kelly, all of Michigan, and Kristen of Fort Walton Beach.
A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 18, at Emerald Coast Funeral Home with Mr. Carl Cates officiating.

Lucille R. Sheehy
Lucille R. Sheehy, age 78, of Fort Walton Beach, Fla., passed away Monday, Nov. 15, 1999, in a local hospital.
Lucille was born in Nashua, N.H., on Oct. 31, 1921, to Henry and Mary Louise St. Francois. She had been living in this area for the past 36 years.
She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and will be missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her husband, J.R. Sam Sheehy of Fort Walton Beach; daughters, Margaret Allen of Tallahassee, Fla., Maureen Ford of LaGrange, Ga.; sister, Larretta Olsen of Connecticut; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
A funeral service will be held at McLaughlin Mortuary Chapel at 11 a.m. Wednesday. Interment will follow at 2 p.m. in Barrancas National Cemetery, Pensacola, Fla.

Norman Mason
Norman "Reedi" Mason, 206 Kelly Road, Niceville, Fla., passed away Nov. 16, 1999, in Fort Walton Beach Medical Center after an extended illness.
He was a lifelong resident of Niceville.
Reedi was preceded in death by his parents, Manuel and Myrtle Mason. He is survived by his wife, Dora Mason; sons, Istvan Mason, Jason Mason of Niceville, and Eli Mason of Pensacola, Fla.; daughter, Jennifer Glass of Niceville; sisters, Carla Sallee, Verta Whitfield, Sue Young, Joan Cumbie and Kay Lewis of Niceville; brothers, James Mason, Ronnie Mason, Vernon Mason, Gene Mason, Lavon Mason of Niceville, and Clinton Mason of Mossey Head, Fla.; and granddaughter, Haley Glass.
As he wished, Reedi will be cremated.
A memorial service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 20, at Turkey Creek Nature Trail in Niceville.
Nathan Wallace
Nathan Wallace, age 85, of DeFuniak Springs, Fla., passed away Tuesday morning, Nov. 16, 1999, in a local nursing home.
Mr. Wallace was a native of Alabama and had lived in DeFuniak Springs for the past 35 years. He was a U.S. Army veteran.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mammie Wallace; and a very special child, Sandy Bankich Kuhl. Survivors include his sisters, Ella Mae Watson of Florala, Ala., Ailene Martin of Paxton, Fla., and Iola Johnson of DeFuniak Springs; numerous nieces and nephews, including two special nephews, John and Jeremy Kuhl.
Graveside services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 18, at Gaskin Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

George Benjamin Weitzel
George Benjamin Gray Weitzel, age 74, of Niceville, Fla., passed away Monday night, Nov. 15, 1999, in the Manor at Bluewater Bay.
George was born in Richmond, Va., the son of renowned physician, John Straub Weitzel, and attended Trinity College of Hartford, Conn. He had a distinguished career in pharmaceutical sales and clinical research with American Cyanamid. George was a member of Bluewater Bay Golf Club and had resided in this area for the past 10 years.
Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Jane B. Weitzel of Niceville; daughters, Deborah Lee Lenz of Dallas, Texas, and Beverley Weitzel Mackey of Vestavia Hills, Ala.; six grandchildren, Leisha Lee Lenz, Laura Ann Mackey, Megan Lee Mackey, Jennifer Ann Lenz, Michael Pierce Mackey and Ashley Gray Mackey; and son-in-law, M. Lee Mitchell of Naples, Fla.
Private memorial services will be held on Saturday, Nov. 20, at Christ Our Redeemer Catholic Church in Niceville.

Zona L. Pamer
Zona L. Pamer, age 93, of Fort Walton Beach, Fla., passed away Monday, Nov. 15, 1999, in a local hospital.
She was born in Alamo, Ga., on Nov. 30, 1905, to Benjamin H. and Clara Hartley. She moved to Fort Walton Beach in 1978 and became a member of Westwood Baptist Church. Zona was a loving mother and grandmother and a good friend to many people. She will be missed by all who knew her.
Se is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Earllene and Tracy Sears of Fort Walton Beach; stepson and wife Paul and Carolyn Pamer of Doylestown, Ohio; granddaughter, Lynn Sears of Fort Walton Beach; grandson and wife, Gary and Angela Sears of Chicago; grandson and wife, Staff Sgt. Scott and Debbie Sears of Germany; great-granddaughter, Jessica Sears of Cold Springs; great-granddaughter, Alicia Sears of Germany; great-grandsons, Nicholas and Trevor Sears of Chicago; great-granddaughter, Natalie Sears of Chicago; great-great-granddaughter, Shayla Eason of Mary Esther, Fla. She is also survived by a very cherished and dear friend, Lorna Kidwell.
She will be returned to her previous home in Akron, Ohio, to be buried at Green Lawn Cemetery beside her beloved husband of 28 years, Paul Pamer.
A visitation will be held at McLaughlin Mortuary from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 18. A funeral service will follow the visitation at 7 p.m. with the Rev. Art Johnson officiating.

Elena Mechelle Anderson
Elena Mechelle Anderson, age 28, died Monday, Nov. 15, 1999, in Chalmette, La.
Elena was born on Sept. 1, 1971, in St. Petersburg, Fla. Her parents are Thomas and Chassie Jowers Anderson. She was a lifelong resident of the Pleasant Grove Community and enjoyed talking with friends on the phone.
She enjoyed country and western music and wanted to be a D.J. She also had many friends in the country and western entertainment industry.
Miss Anderson is survived by her father and mother, Thomas and Chassie B. Anderson of the Pleasant Grove community; brother, Michael Carson Anderson and wife Amanda of the Woodlawn community; and sister, Chrystal Leigh Anderson of the Pleasant Grove community.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 18, at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. Larry Sweat officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant Grove Cemetery.
A time of visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Cleophus McIntosh
Cleophus "Mac" McIntosh died Nov. 12, 1999, at Jackson Hospital in Montgomery, Ala., from the result of an automobile accident.
Survivors are his loving and devoted wife, Leila Heard McIntosh; sons, Leonardo, Cleophus "Delano" and Anthony (Jennie) McIntosh, all of New York; sister, Vera B. (Cleophus) Thompson of Maryland; daughter-in-law, Dorothy Barker of Georgia; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; aunts, Odessa Mayo of Ohio and Melivee Austini of Alabama; sisters-in-law, Otieque Carlisle of New York and Emma Lee Heard of Alabama; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A memorial Mass will be held on Friday, Nov. 19, at 1:30 p.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Fort Walton Beach.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 18, at Morning Star Baptist Church in Beatrice, Ala., with the Rev. Robert Davis officiating. Burial will be in Pineville Cemetery with Ross-Clayton Funeral Home directing.

Albert Patrick Gablosky
Staff Sgt. Albert "Gabby" Patrick Gablosky, U.S. Air Force retired, age 75, of Fort Walton Beach, Fla., passed away Monday evening, Nov. 15, 1999, at his residence.
Gabby was born on March 17, 1924. He was a resident of Fort Walton Beach since 1965, moving here from England. He retired from the Air Force in 1969 and joined the Fort Walton Beach Police Department, where he retired in 1983. He will also be remembered by many as head bagger at the Hurlburt Field Commissary for 20-plus years. Mr. Gablosky was a member of DAV Chapter 72.
He was preceded in death by his father, Arthur Gablosky. He is survived by his wife, Patricia Gablosky of Fort Walton Beach; daughter, Sheryl Letcher and husband Ed of Destin, Fla.; daughter, Vickey Zingarretti and husband Rick of Destin; daughter, Tamee Gaddis and husband Greg of Destin; son, Tim McCoy of Fort Walton Beach; mother, Blanche Lavoie Tremblay of Haverhill, Mass.; sister, Theresa Kalaus of Haverhill; brother, Robert Gablosky and wife Patricia of Haverhill; brother, Richard Gablosky and wife Regina of Leesburg, Fla.; sister, Cecile Suprin of Lady Lake, Fla.; nine grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 19, at Grace Lutheran Church in Destin with Pastor Paul Kummer officiating. Interment will take place later in Barrancas National Cemetery, with full military honors.

Marjorie M. Wolff
Marjorie M. Wolff, age 68, of Santa Rosa Beach, Fla., died Tuesday, Nov. 16, 1999, at her home.
Mrs. Wolff was born on Feb. 9, 1931, in Philadelphia to Kenneth and Marie Ziegler Urban. She moved to this area in 1980 from Chicago and was a member of St. Rita's Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by her brother, John Urban.
Survivors include her loving husband, Bernard J. Wolff of Santa Rosa Beach; daughters, Deborah Hearn and husband James of Destin, Fla., and Karen crook and husband Jeff of Snellville, Ga.; brothers, Robert Urban and wife Marie of Quail Valley, Calif., and Richard Urban and wife Donna of Chatsworth, Calif.; sister, Muriel Bearson and husband Merle of Sun City West, Ariz., and Marcia Funk and husband Rex of Monroe, Ind.; grandchildren, Lisa and Amanda Hearn, and Sarah and Katelyn Crook; and great-grandson, Dorico Hilliard.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at St. Rita's Catholic Church, with a vigil service to be conducted at 7 p.m.
A funeral Mass will be conducted at St. Rita's Catholic Church at 9 a.m. Friday, Nov. 19, with the Very Rev. James J. Flaherty as celebrant. Interment will follow in Gulf Cemetery, Santa Rosa Brach.
