David DeLille
David DeLille, age 68, of Fort Walton Beach, Fla., went to be with his Lord and Savior Sunday, Dec. 19, 1999, in a local hospital.
Mr DeLille moved to Fort Walton Beach in 1967 and was employed with Metric Systems for fourteen years as a quality engineer until his retirement in 1997. He was an officer of the local TOPS organization at the time of his death and had served as chaplain of the Eagle Club for several years.
Mr. DeLille is survived by his wife, Elena; two daughters and two sons of Rochester, N.Y. and two step-sons; C.J. Smith of Fort Walton Beach, J.C. Smith of Faithport, NY.
Three years ago, Mr. DeLille placed faith in Jesus Christ as God's Son after reading a gospel tract. He was baptized shortly thereafter, and became a faithful church member. In April of this year, he became a charter member of Bayside Baptist Church of Fort Walton Beach, and served as church treasurer and printed each Sunday's bulletin until his health failed him three weeks ago.

Peggie Windham Dubuisson
Mrs. Peggie Windham Dubuisson, age 66, of Destin, passed away early Monday morning, Dec. 20, 1999 in a local hospital. Mrs. Dubuisson was born Nov. 20, 1933 in Jasper County, Miss., to Trudie McNeil Windham and the late Howard Adam Windham. She has been a resident of Destin for the past eleven years moving here from Washington, D.C. She attended the University of Southern Mississippi and was a bookkeeper with National Right to Work, based in Springfield, Va. Mrs. Dubuisson was a member of the Corpus Christi Catholic Church in Destin and enjoyed playing the piano and gardening.
Mrs. Dubuisson is preceded in death by her father and her sister, Bea Carlson. She is survived by her husband, Adrian U. Dubuisson of Destin; two daughters, Aimee Dubuisson Lowry and husband John of Centreville, Va., and Jennifer Dubuisson Schilling and husband Bob of Stuart, Fla.; mother, Mrs. H.A. Windham and sister, Berniece Martin both of Columbus, Miss.; seven grandchildren and many extended family and friends.
A memorial service for Mrs. Dubuisson will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 23, 1999 in the Corpus Christi Catholic Church with Father Bob Morris officiating.

Donna Ann Janes
Donna Ann Janes, age 54, passed away at her home in Santa Rosa Beach, Fla. on Thursday, Dec. 16, 1999.
Donna is survived by her mother, Ann Ebert; husband John V. Janes, Jr.; children, Lisa Lutker, Tracey Emmons, and Nick Janes; grandchildren, Corey Emmons, Jade Taylor, Robert Lutker, Bailey Emmons, Austin Janes, Stephen Donaldson, Patric Lee and Aaron Lee.
If you happened to know Donna, you knew that she was one of the best people in the world. She would not hesitate to do anything for anybody or to give you her last dollar if you needed it.

Leroy Tripp, Jr.
Leroy Tripp, Jr., age 44, of Fort Walton Beach, Fla., passed away unexpectedly on Dec. 7, 1999, while working in Saudi Arabia. He was born on July 13, 1955 in Pensacola, Fla. He has resided in the local area since 1995, when he returned here from Korea. He honorably served his country in the U.S.A.F. and retired as a technical sergeant. He enjoyed traveling when given the opportunity.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister. He leaves behind his wife, Eleanor Tripp; sons, Jason Tripp, serving in the U.S. Army on active duty in North Carolina, and Ryan Tripp, living as a dependent son in Europe; a nephew, Edward Washington and niece, Coco Washington, both of Fort Walton Beach.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Thursday, Dec. 23, 1999, beginning at 9 a.m. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, Dec. 23, 1999 at 10 a.m. at the Little Chapel Funeral Home. A military chaplain will officiate at the services. Burial will follow services at Barrancas National Cemetery at 1:15 p.m.with full military honors.

Helen Eure Harbeson
Helen Eure Harbeson, age 99, died after an extended illness on Tuesday, Dec. 21, 1999, at her residence of 470 Circle Drive in DeFuniak Springs. She has been a resident of DeFuniak Springs since 1910. She is preceded in death by her husband Clyde Harbeson.
Born in Wellborn, Fla., on Halloween in 1900, Mrs. Harbeson was the first child of one of the Panhandle's turpentine mill pioneers, Mills Eure Savage. Mr. Savage was a native of Gates County, N.C., who operated mills in the area around Crestview. His wife, Elizabeth Dean Spencer Savage, was a native of Lake City, Fla. The Harbeson family owned and operated hotels throughout Florida including the San Carlos in Pensacola and the Walton Hotel in DeFuniak Springs, Fla.
Mrs. Harbeson was very active in the First Methodist Church until her inability to hear restricted her participation in the Sunday services. She was a 73-year member of the United Methodist Women's Organization. Before she stopped driving, she was a frequent visitor to her friends in DeFuniak Springs who were not able to leave their homes.
She is survived by two nieces, Nora Savage Crawley of Panama City, Fla., and Deborah Savage of Fort Walton Beach; two nephews, Dr. John William Savage, Jr. of Panama City and Mills Spencer Savage, Jr. of Detroit, Mich.; five great nieces and nephews and one great-great niece. She was surrounded by a corps of loving women who stayed with her when she was unable to live alone. She was under the care of Northwest Florida Hospice at the time of her death.
Memorial services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 23, 1999 at the First Methodist Church in DeFuniak Springs with Rev. Bobby Ellisor officiating. Interment will follow in Magnolia Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 22, 1999 at Clary-Godwin Funeral Home Chapel.
Pallbearers will be Clyde Harbeson, John Gillis, Paul Cope, John Savage and Spencer Savage. Honorary pallbearer will be Luther Ates.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that persons who wish to make contributions in Mrs. Harbeson's memory select a favorite charity.

Tami Lanaye Carpenter
Tami Lanaye Carpenter, age 31, of Kennesaw, Ga., died Monday, Dec. 20, 1999. A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 23, 1999 at Mull's Chapel Baptist Church in Connelly Springs, N.C., with the Rev. Jeff Johnson and the Rev. Thomas E. Berry officiating.
Born in Charleston, S.C., Miss Carpenter moved to Metro Atlanta in 1993. She attended Mississippi State University, then received her Bachelor's Degree from West Georgia University and her Master's Degree from Kennesaw State University. She worked as an Administrative Assistant at Kesco, Inc in Kennesaw. She was of the Baptist faith.
Miss Carpenter is survived by her parents, Tom and Debbie Carpenter, Shalimar, Fla.; sister, Dawn S. Carpenter, Charleston, S.C.; paternal grandmother, Mildred Juanita Carpenter, Connelly Springs, N.C.; maternal grandparents, Lloyd and Katherine Young, Connelly Springs, N.C.; fiance J. Dunston Powell, III, Charleston, S.C.; and several aunts and uncles in North Carolina and Virginia.

Ella Mae Brown Shaw
Ella Mae Brown Shaw died on Dec. 21, 1999, in Greenville, S.C. She was the widow of Fred Shaw, who died in 1993.
She was born in Portland, Fla., on Nov. 10, 1916, to Levay and Simeon Brown and had been a resident of Niceville, Fla., for the past 50 years.
Survivors include sons and daughters-in-law, Fred and Alma Shaw of El Paso, Texas, and Ferris and Sue Shaw of Broken Arrow, Okla.; daughters and sons-in-law, Faye and Joe Michal of Greenville, S.C., and Marjorie and Dan Maiden of Greer, S.C.; eight grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren; two brothers, Lowery Brown of Choctaw Beach, Fla., and Casper Brown of Memphis, Tenn.; one sister, Loretta Lide of Fort Walton Beach, Fla., and former daughter-in-law, Rita Medlin Shaw.

Harold H. Stringer
Harold H. Stringer, age 82, of Fort Walton Beach, Fla., went to be with the Lord on Wednesday morning, Dec. 22, 1999, from a local nursing facility. Mr. Stringer was a retired Senior Master Sergeant with the U.S. Air Force, where he spent 26 years on active duty. He was a member of Hollywood Boulevard Baptist Church in Fort Walton Beach, enjoyed gardening and fishing and had resided in this area since 1950.
Harold was preceded in death by his parents, William and Martha Stringer; his brothers, Carl and Paul Stringer and his infant son, William Neal Stringer.
Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Gladys Surles Stringer of Fort Walton Beach; his daughter and son-in-law, Sandra and Griffin McRainie of St. Petersburg, Fla.; his son and daughter-in-law, Scott and Kathy Stringer of Warner Robins, Ga.; his grandchildren, Kenny Campbell and wife Brandy of Pinellas Park, Fla., Brian Campbell and wife Cindy of Tallahassee, Fla., Bayard and Sara Stringer, both of Warner Robins, Robert McRanie and wife Amie of Largo, Fla., and Tammy McRanie of Tampa, Fla.; his great grandchildren, Cody McRanie and Megan Campbell and numerous nieces and nephews.

Stewart L. Gooding
Stewart L. Gooding, age 76, of Bluewater Bay, Fla., died Tuesday, Dec. 21, 1999. Stewart is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Patricia; son Steven and daughter-in-law Barbara, grandchildren Rachel and Max; son Peter and daughter-in-law Teresa, grandchildren Jason, Jeffrey, Jennifer and Cory; and daughter Melissa. He is also survived by his sister Davie Nabors and brother-in-law Lee; nephew Jim Nabors and nieces Connie Gilbert and Sharilyn Darnell.
Stewart had an architectural degree from the University of Colorado. He and Pat made their home in Bluewater Bay for 13 years, where he was a Realtor for Carriage Hills Realty. He was a member of the Bluewater Bay Golf Club and Saint Paul Lutheran Church.
As per Stewart's wishes, no services will be held. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in his name may be made to Saint Paul Lutheran Church, Niceville, Fla.
