Mark Wood Edwards
NORFOLK - Mark Wood Edwards, 81, passed away Jan. 12, 2008, surrounded by friends and family. He was predeceased by his parents, William J. and Ruby Spencer Edwards, as well as his brother, William S. Edwards.
Mark was born in Norfolk, July 29, 1926. He attended Norview High School until he was called to duty to serve in the U.S. Navy during World War II. After the war, he and fellow veterans completed high school at Maury. In his youth, Mark was a member of Norview United Methodist Church; later, he attended Christ the King Catholic Church and Coleman Place Presbyterian Church.
Mark worked for VEPCO for 36 years. He enjoyed fishing, softball and relaxing at his cottage in Kitty Hawk. Later in life, he especially enjoyed the company of friends met walking at Military Circle.
Mark is survived by his wife of 58 years, Margaret Roseberry Edwards; son, Mark Wood Edwards Jr. and wife Dorothy Lawless Edwards; and grandchildren, Erin Spencer Edwards, Seth Lawless Edwards, Andrew Hemingway Edwards and Sara Margaret Wood Edwards; as well as many well-loved nieces, nephews and cousins.
The family will receive friends at Altmeyer Funeral Home, Greenwich Road Chapel, today from 7 to 8 p.m. A Mass of the Resurrection will be held Wednesday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church at 1 p.m. with a reception at the church following the burial.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be offered to Catholic Charities of Hampton Roads.

Harold G. Wiggins
RICHMOND - Harold Gordon “Bunny” Wiggins, 84, passed away Jan. 10, 2008, after a short illness. He was preceded in death by his wife, Twila Irene and brother, Donald Wiggins.
He is survived by brothers, Kenneth Wiggins of Greenville, N.C., Joe Wiggins of Richmond, Billy Wiggins of Green Bay, Va. and Carol Wiggins of Crystal River, Fla.; sisters, Elva Carter and Jewel Mathena, both of Richmond and Enghabau Scott of Norge, Va. and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
He served in the Air Force in World War II where he was awarded the Purple Heart and five Oak Leaf Clusters after flying 54 missions over Germany. He was retired from the University of Richmond.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday in Westover Episcopal Church on Route 5, Charles City, Va., with reception at the parish hall following.

Edmond Paul Jodoin
NORFOLK - Edmond Paul Jodoin, 81, passed away peacefully Jan. 13, 2008, in the comfort of his home
surrounded by
his loving family.
Mr. Jodoin was
born Sept. 28,
1926. He served
our country proudly for more than 20 years in the U.S. Navy, including serving in World War II. “Paul” as he was affectionately known by his family and friends, was a longtime, devoted member of St. Pius X Catholic Church. He was recently employed with N.C.O. Financial Service in the collections department. Paul loved fishing and spending time with his family. He will always be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend. He will be deeply missed.
Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 26 years, Rosario Jodoin; five sons, Bill, David, Dirk, Joseph and Timothy; five daughters, Debbie, Karin, Jean, Lynn and Helen; and numerous grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 9 p.m. Thursday in Smith and Williams Funeral Home, Norview Chapel. A celebration of life will be held at 10 a.m. Friday in the funeral home. Please share your love and condolences with family at www.mem.com.
