Clinton Troy Cannon, 22, of Strawberry, died Sept. 6, 2004.
His body has been sent to the medical examiner, according to Jeff Qualls, coroner, in Sharp County.
No arrangements have been announced.
Thomas Michael Harrington
Thomas Michael Harrington, 58, of Maynard, brother of Timothy Harrington of Hoxie, died Sept. 1, 2004, at St. Francis Regional Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Mo. Private burial was Saturday under the direction of Roller-Farmers Union Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the St. Francis Regional Medical Center Neurosurgery Department.
Delma Christine Mashburn
Delma Christine Mashburn, 77, of Walnut Ridge, died Sept. 3, 2004, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital, following a lengthy illness.
Born Dec. 6, 1926, at Eaton, she was the daughter of William and Leona Richey Stewart. She was a homemaker and a member of the New Life Full Gospel Church of Black Rock.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Mashburn, on May 21, 1998, whom she married Aug. 21, 1942; a son, Jackie Dean Mashburn; two brothers; two sisters; two grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
Survivors include four sons, William Mashburn, Bakersfield, Calif., Paul Mashburn, Batesville, and Billy Mashburn and Ronnie Mashburn, both of Black Rock; two daughters, Wilma Burleson, Black Rock, and Doris Dotson, Poughkeepsie; 17 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral was Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Bryan Chapel with Bro. Jim Pagen officiating. Burial was in Powhatan Cemetery under the direction of Bryan Funeral Home.
Pallbearers were Steven Mashburn, Scotty Phillips, James Mashburn, Roger Taylor, David Taylor, Dennis Hill, Sherman Mashburn and Ronnie Moore.
Juanita M. Mondy
Juanita M. Mondy, 69, of Killeen, Texas, formerly of Walnut Ridge, died Sept. 4, 2004, at her home.
Born Oct. 11, 1934, in Rolla, Mo., she worked as a model and inspector for R & M Kaufman in Aurora, Ill., before moving to Killeen in 1980. She was a member of the Church of Christ of Killeen.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Survivors include her husband, Joseph Mondy, whom she married July 3, 1952.
Graveside service is Thursday at 11 a.m. at Lawrence Memorial Park with Darrell Douglas officiating. Higginbotham Funeral Service has charge of arrangements.
Visitation is Thursday from 10 a.m. until time of the service at Higginbotham Chapel.
Mary Alene Riggs
Mary Alene Riggs, 67, of Walnut Ridge, died Sept. 7, 2004, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.
Born in Arkansas, she lived in Hoxie before moving to Walnut Ridge 23 years ago. She was a homemaker and worked at the Walnut Ridge Convalescent Center for 16 years. She was of the Baptist faith.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Phyllis Karnes; her parents, Louie and Dorothy Willfond; and two brothers, Melvin Willfond and Edgar Willfond.
Survivors include her husband, Maxie Riggs; two daughters, Debra Cline, Lafe, and Tammy Brown, Ravenden; a brother, Louie Willfond Jr., Hoxie; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral is Thursday at 10 a.m. at the House-Gregg Chapel with Junior Meeker officiating. Burial will be in Duty Cemetery, near Walnut Ridge.
Pallbearers will be Jordan Brown, Steven Holsten, Christopher Holsten, Gary Patton, Chad Depew and Cloyce Davidson.
Visitation is today from 5 to 8 at the funeral home.
Leland Scott Robins
Leland Scott Robins, 51, of Strawberry, formerly of West Memphis, died Sept. 1, 2004, at the White River Medical Center in Batesville, following a lengthy illness.
Born Feb. 6, 1953, in Chicago, he was a computer programmer for the city of West Memphis and a member of the Strawberry Church of Christ.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Gary Robins; and his grandparents, Ed and Lois Robins, and Melvin and Edith Ferguson.
Survivors include his parents, Charles Bernard and Martha Jo Ferguson Robins, Strawberry; a sister, Tammy Joe Barnett, Harrison; a niece, Lindsey Jones, Harrison, and a nephew, Lee Eric Jones, Harrison.
Memorial services will be announced later by Bryan Funeral Home.
Altie Bell Smith
Altie Bell Smith, 78, of Flippin, formerly of Walnut Ridge, died Aug. 31, at the Baxter Regional Medical Center in Mountain Home.
Born in Newport, she was the daughter of Michael James and Rosie Pippenger. She was a homemaker and a member of the Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Woodrow Wilson Smith; a daughter; two sons; two granddaughters; a grandson; and two great-grandsons.
Survivors include six sons, Mark Smith, Jonesboro, Michael Smith and Danny Smith, both of Pocahontas, James Smith, Walnut Ridge, Terry Smith, Weiner, and Ricky Smith, Flippin; a daughter, Pauline Larson, Everett, Wash.; a brother, Mike Pippenger, Moses Lake, Wash.; 26 grandchildren; 59 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
Graveside service was Friday at 10 a.m. at Oak Grove Cemetery with E. Winston Burton officiating. Langford-Bookout Funeral Home had charge of arrangements.
