Jean L. Bobo
Jean L. Bobo, 79, of Boyne City, Mich., died Aug. 22, 2006, at her home.
Born March 23, 1927, at Alicia, she was the daughter of O.B. and elza Ross Freeman.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Delora estes.
Survivors include her husband of 59 years, Wilgus Bobo, whom she married Aug. 2, 1947, in Jonesboro; a son, Michael Bobo, Flint, Mich.; two brothers, Bill Freeman and Liburn Freeman; and two grandchildren, Zane Bobo and evan Bobo.
Graveside service was Thursday at evangeline Township Cemetery with Nancy Rohde officiating. Stackus Funeral Home of Boyne City had charge of arrangements.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
Marge Files
Marge Files, 83, of Orlando, Fla., formerly of Walnut Ridge, died Aug. 23, 2006.
She was preceded in death by her husband, C.W. Files.
Survivors include a daughter, Janet Dillport, Orlando; and a granddaughter, emily Dillport.
A memorial service was Sunday in Orlando. Burial will be in Poplar Bluff, Mo., at a later date.
Jewell Doyne Hayes
Jewell Doyne Hayes, 62, of Sedgwick, died Aug. 25, 2006.
Born Sept. 2, 1943, in Rector, he lived and worked in the Sedgwick area for almost 30 years and was a member of Main Street Church of Christ.
He enlisted into the United States Army in 1964 and served during the Vietnam War, where his service and actions earned him a Silver Star, Bronze Star, three Purple Hearts, the Army Commendation Medal, the Army Achievement Medal, nine Air Medals, a Good Conduct Medal, an Army Service Medal, an Army Overseas Medal, the Vietnam Cross of Gallantry, the Vietnam Service Medal, Airborne Wings and Army Aviator Wings.
During his time in the Army, he served with the 1st Infantry Division, the 9th infantry Division, the 2/54 Field Artillery Division, the 2nd and 3rd Rangers, the 75th Ranger Regiment and the 5th Special Forces Group. After his service in Vietnam, he served as an OCS Instructor and later received an MBA from the University of Arkansas.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ira and Mozell Smith Hayes; and a sister, Shelia Ann Hayes Bowman.
Survivors include his wife of 40 years, Dana Wimberly Hayes; a son, Joel Hayes, Rector; a daughter, Jana Hayes Schimming, Peach Orchard; a brother, Thomas I. Hayes, Paragould; and two grandchildren, Jacob Hayes and Audrey Schimming.
Funeral was Monday at 10 a.m. at Fifth & Pine Church of Christ in Rector with Bro. Ken Roden and Rob Combs officiating. Burial was in Woodland Heights Cemetery at Rector under the direction of Mitchell Funeral Home of Rector.
Memorials may be made to the Paragould Children's Home or Disabled American Veterans.
George W. Hyde
George W. Hyde, 97, of Paragould, formerly of the Coffman community, grandfather of Kim Tippy of Imboden, died Aug. 27, 2006. Funeral is today at 10 a.m. at Heath Colonial Chapel in Paragould with Weldon Parkinson officiating. Burial will be in Finch Cemetery.
Clyde Johnson
Clyde Johnson, 89, of Memphis, brother of Woodrow Johnson of Strawberry, died Aug. 23, 2006, at his home. Burial was in evening Shade Cemetery at evening Shade under the direction of Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City.
Thomas Douglas McQuay
Thomas Douglas "Doug" McQuay, 63, of Bono, died Aug. 26, 2006, at his home.
Born at egypt, he worked part-time for Continental Computers in Jonesboro after retiring from Baldwin Pianos after 17 years. He attended Calvary United Pentecostal Church.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Venita McQuay; a daughter, erin McQuay; his parents, Ludie and Viola McQuay; a brother, Kenneth McQuay; and two sisters, Darlene Kelly and Beulah McQuay.
Survivors include his wife, Lynda King McQuay; three sons, Darrin McQuay, Tennessee, Tim McQuay, Alabama, and Jonathan McQuay, Pocahontas; two daughters, Sandra McQuay, Trumann, and Lisa McQuay, Jonesboro; a stepson, Chris Ford, Jonesboro; a stepdaughter, Patsy Montgomery, Mesa, Ariz.; two brothers, William McQuay, Texas, and Phil McQuay, Kansas; four sisters, Wanda Powers and Annabelle Lowery, both of Walnut Ridge, Connie Rook, Hughes, and Sherry Deatherage, Jonesboro; five grandchildren, Sha McQuay, Ben McQuay, Mia McQuay, Cody Gilbert and Riley Gilbert.
Funeral is today at 1 p.m. in the Roller-Farmers Union Chapel with William Holt and John Chance officiating. Burial will be in Pine Log Cemetery under the direction of Roller-Farmers Union Funeral Home of Jonesboro.
Pallbearers will be David Dowdy, Tommy Jordon, Ronnie Murphy, Brandon Pettit, Dustin Carpenter and Brian emmons. Honorary pallbearers will be Charlie Richardson, Jerry Pettit, Willie Rodgers and the brothers of Bono Revival Tabernacle Church.

Enos Pollard, 86 of Rector, Arkansas died Friday, August 15, 2006 at Piggott Community Hospital. Mr. Pollard was a retired Farmer and of the Church of Christ Faith.
Survivors include: one son: Franklin & Sue Stidham of Greenway, Arkansas Four daughters Carol sue Brown of Ravenden, Arkansas, Betty & Jerry Johnson of Patterson, Arkansas, Wilma & Glen Guiltner of Jonesboro, Arkansas, Connie & Ron Lindley of Jonesboro, Arkansas. Several Nieces & Nephews. 12 grandchildren and 28 great grandchildren.
Mr. Pollard was preceded in death by his Wife : Flossie Pollard. 5 Brothers, Joe, Slyvester, Duward, Floyd, Hulen Pollard. 1 Sister, Mary bell Pelts. 1 Grandchild.

Lucy Francis Pollock
Lucy Francis Pollock, 88, of Walnut Ridge, formerly of Bono, died Aug. 23, 2006, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.
Born Aug. 17, 1918, in Lawrence County, she was the daughter of exzeb and Christy Davis Rosselot.
She was preceded in death by her husband, ernest Pollock, whom she married June 15, 1937, in Greene County.
Survivors include two sons, Arlin Pollock, Walnut Corner, and Charles Dean Pollock, Walcott; 11 grandchildren, Terry Pollock, Gary Pollock, Rickey Pollock, Jimmy Pollock, Connie Watson, Clifford Watson, Angela Watson, Belinda Crawford, Phillip Pollock, Sarah Slater and Tim Pollock; 27 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.
Graveside service was Saturday at 10 a.m. at Mt. Zion Cemetery, near Walcott, under the direction of Higginbotham Funeral Service.
Lucille Selsor Robert
Lucille Selsor Robert, 92, of Albuquerque, N.M., died Aug. 26, 2006.
Born in the Lauratown community, she attended school at Hoxie. She and her husband operated the Red Star Cafe in Hoxie for many years. She was a member of First Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Robert; and a son, Gene Robert.
Survivors include a sister, Beatrice Fitzgerald, Albuquerque.
Funeral was Tuesday at 2:30 p.m. at French's Mortuary in Albuquerque. A graveside service will be Sunday at 2:30 p.m. at Jonesboro Memorial Park on Harrisburg Road.
