SUSIE DEPARTED THIS LIFE AT MISSOURI BAPTIST HOSPITAL IN ST. LOUIS, MISSOURI ON JANUARY 22, 2002 HAVING REACHED THE AGE OF SEVENTY-TWO YEARS AND SIX DAYS.
SUSIE WAS UNITED IN MARRIAGE TO GEORGE SMITH ON JUNE 28, 1947 IN RICHWOODS, MISSOURI. TO THIS UNION THREE CHILDREN WERE BORN. GEORGE PRECEDED HIS WIFE IN DEATH ON SEPTEMBER 24, 1985.
SHE IS SURVIVED BY THREE SONS, GEORGE SMITH AND WIFE INA OF CADET, MISSOURI, DONALD SMITH AND WIFE THERESA OF CADET, MISSOURI AND WARREN SMITH AND WIFE NANCY OF CADET, MISSOURI, THREE SISTERS, ETHEL MCEWEN AND HUSBAND MALCOLM OF SULLIVAN, MISSOURI, RUTH ANN CONNERS AND HUSBAND HARVEY OF RICHWOODS, MISSOURI AND JUDY WHITFIELD AND HUSBAND KEVIN OF EDDYVILLE, KENTUCKY, TWO BROTHERS, LESTER NORTHCUTT AND WIFE NORMA OF RICHWOODS, MISSOURI AND ALVIN NORTHCUTT AND WIFE PAULETTE OF DESOTO, MISSOURI. SHE IS ALSO SURVIVED BY ELEVEN GRANDCHILDREN AND THIRTEEN GREAT GRANDCHILDREN.
SUSIE HAD A GREAT LOVE FOR CRAFTS. SHE ESPECIALLY LIKED CROCHETING BEAUTIFUL GIFTS FOR HER FRIENDS. SHE ALSO ENJOYED BAKING AND WORKING IN HER FLOWER AND VEGETABLE GARDENS. SUSIE LOVED SPENDING TIME WITH HER FAMILY, ESPECIALLY HER GRANDCHILDREN.
VISITATION WAS HELD AT 5:00 PM TO 9:00 PM ON THURSDAY, JANUARY 24, 2002 AT THE MOORE FUNERAL HOME IN POTOSI.
FUNERAL SERVICES WAS CONDUCTED AT 10:00 AM ON FRIDAY, JANUARY 25, 2002 AT THE MOORE MEMORIAL CHAPEL WITH REV. ELVUS REED OFFICIATING. BURIAL WAS IN THE HORINE CEMETERY UNDER THE DIRECTION OF MOORE FUNERAL HOME, POTOSI.

VERNIE MAE LEMONS OF CADET, MISSOURI WAS BORN AT TUPELO, MISSISSIPPI ON OCTOBER 17, 1937. SHE WAS THE DAUGHTER OF THE LATE PARLEE (HENRY) DOWDEN. VERNIE DEPARTED THIS LIFE AT THE JEFFERSON MEMORIAL HOSPITAL IN CRYSTAL CITY, MISSOURI ON JANUARY 23, 2002 HAVING REACHED THE AGE OF SIXTY-FOUR YEARS, THREE MONTHS AND SIX DAYS.
VERNIE WAS UNITED IN MARRIAGE TO LEVI LEMONS JR. ON JULY 21, 1955 IN ST. LOUIS, MISSOURI. TO THIS UNION ELEVEN CHILDREN WERE BORN.
SHE IS SURVIVED BY HER LOVING AND DEVOTED HUSBAND LEVI LEMONS JR. OF CADET, MISSOURI, FOUR DAUGHTERS; PAMELA ROBINSON AND HUSBAND THOMAS OF POTOSI, MISSOURI, PATRICE CUNNINGHAM OF CADET, MISSOURI, ROSALIND LEMONS OF HOUSTON, MISSOURI AND PANSY LEMONS OF CADET, MISSOURI, THREE SONS; JOHN DOWDEN AND WIFE CAROLYN OF POTOSI, MISSOURI, TERENCE LEMONS OF POTOSI, MISSOURI AND KEVIN LEMONS, OF CADET, MISSOURI. SHE IS ALSO SURVIVED BY TWENTY-THREE GRANDCHILDREN AND TWENTY GREAT GRANDCHILDREN. IN ADDITION TO HER PARENTS SHE WAS PRECEDED IN DEATH BY FOUR SONS; CEDRICK LEMONS, ROBERT LEMONS, LEVI VALDIMIR LEMONS AND RUSSELL MELVIN LEMONS.
VERNIE WAS A FUN LOVING PERSON WITHOUT A CARE IN THIS WORLD AND SHE LOVED ALL ELEVEN OF HER CHILDREN.
VERNIE WAS A GOOD MOTHER, WIFE AND FRIEND WHO WOULD DO ANYTHING FOR ANYONE. SHE ENJOYED SPENDING TIME WITH HER GRANDCHILDREN AND GREAT GRANDCHILDREN AND SITTING IN FRONT OF THEIR FIREPLACE AT HOME.
VERNIE ALSO ENJOYED GOING FISHING AND WATCHING SOAP OPERAS.

STEVEN JERRY "SONNY" RICHARDS OF POTOSI, MISSOURI WAS BORN AT POTOSI, MISSOURI ON MAY 27, 1930. HE WAS THE SON OF THE LATE EVERETT DAVID AND ROSA FLORENCE (ESSMYER) RICHARDS. SONNY DEPARTED THIS LIFE AT THE PARKLAND HEALTH CENTER IN FARMINGTON, MISSOURI ON JANUARY 24, 2002, HAVING REACHED THE AGE OF SEVENTY-ONE YEARS, SEVEN MONTHS AND TWENTY-EIGHT DAYS.
SONNY WAS UNITED IN MARRIAGE TO NORMA JEAN MALLOW ON FEBRUARY 11, 1955 AND TO THIS UNION ONE CHILD WAS BORN.
HE IS SURVIVED BY HIS LOVING AND DEVOTED WIFE NORMA JEAN RICHARDS OF POTOSI, MISSOURI; ONE SON, JERRY RICHARDS AND WIFE CARLA OF POTOSI, MISSOURI; TWO GRANDDAUGHTERS, MALLORY AND JENNIFER RICHARDS, BOTH OF POTOSI, MISSOURI; MOTHER-IN-LAW, NELLIE MALLOW OF POTOSI, MISSOURI; TWO SISTERS, MARIAN RUTH "KITTY" EVANS OF FESTUS, MISSOURI AND ANNA LEE RICHARDS OF DESOTO, MISSOURI; AND SISTER-IN-LAW ROSE ANN RICHARDS OF BLACKWELL, MISSOURI. IN ADDITION TO HIS PARENTS, HE WAS PRECEDED IN DEATH BY THREE SISTERS, FLORENCE JULIA "SIS" SANCHEGRAW, ALICE BERNICE TURNBOUGH AND SHIRLEY MAE RAMSEY; AND TWO BROTHERS, BURNHAM DAVID RICHARDS AND ELVIS WOODROW "BUCK" RICHARDS.
SONNY HAD ACCEPTED CHRIST AS HIS PERSONAL SAVIOR. SONNY WAS A SPECIAL MAN WHO ALWAYS KNEW THE LOVE AND KINDNESS OF FAMILY AND FRIENDS. HE WAS PROUD OF HIS COUNTRY, AND SERVED AS A PARATROOPER WITH THE 187TH AIRBORNE DURING THE KOREAN WAR. SONNY HAD A GREAT APPRECIATION OF THE FAMILY FARM AND ENJOYED EVERY MINUTE OF HIS TIME WORKING WITH HIS CATTLE AND HIS HORSE, "CHIEF", WHO WAS HIS PARTNER FOR OVER THIRTY YEARS. AS SHERIFF OF WASHINGTON COUNTY FOR TWENTY-FOUR YEARS, SONNY NOT ONLY SERVED THE PEOPLE, BUT ALSO DEDICATED HIS LIFE TO THE BETTERMENT OF THE COMMUNITY. SONNY'S FRIENDSHIP WAS TREASURED BY ALL WHO KNEW HIM.
SONNY TOOK GREAT PRIDE IN HIS FAMILY AND CHERISHED THE THINGS THEY DID TOGETHER. HIS GRANDDAUGHTERS COULD ALWAYS BRING A SMILE TO HIS FACE AND WARMTH TO HIS HEART.
SONNY RICHARDS WAS A LOVING AND DEVOTED HUSBAND, CARING DAD, LOVING AND SPOILING PA PA, DEAR AND TREASURED FRIEND AND HONEST MAN. HE FOUND THE HUMOR IN EVERY SITUATION, AND HE APPRECIATED THE BLESSINGS OF LIFE.
VISITATION WAS HELD AT 4:30 PM TO 9:00 PM ON SATURDAY, JANUARY 26, 2002, SUNDAY, JANUARY 27, 2002 FROM 10:00 AM TO 9:00 PM AND MONDAY JANUARY 28, 2002 FROM 10:00 AM TO 1:00 PM AT THE MOORE FUNERAL HOME IN POTOSI.

CLINTON MONROE HARVEY, JR. OF POTOSI, MISSOURI WAS BORN SATURDAY, JULY 29, 1950 IN BONNE TERRE, MISSOURI A SON OF CLINTON MONROE, SR. AND VERLA MAE (ROY) HARVEY. MONROE DEPARTED THIS LIFE ON TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 26, 2002 AT THE AGE OF FIFTY-ONE YEARS, SIX MONTHS AND TWENTY-EIGHT DAYS.
MONROE IS SURVIVED BY ONE SON JEREMY HARVEY OF COLUMBIA, MISSOURI, HIS PARENTS, CLINTON MONROE, SR. AND VERLA MAE (ROY) HARVEY OF POTOSI, MISSOURI AND BY MANY OTHER RELATIVES AND FRIENDS.
MONROE WAS A 1968 GRADUATE OF THE POTOSI R-3 HIGH SCHOOL WHERE HE WAS ACTIVE IN THE BASKETBALL PROGRAM.
MONROE OWNED AND OPERATED A USED CAR SALES LOT IN POTOSI. HE WAS A THIRTY YEAR MEMBER OF THE POTOSI ELKS LODGE #2218. MONROE ENJOYED TAKING TIME WITH FRIENDS TO PLAY GOLF. HE LOVED TO SPEND TIME TALKING ABOUT DAYS GONE BY AND THE EVENTS OF THE COMMUNITY WITH FAMILY AND FRIENDS.

KENNETH DEPARTED THIS LIFE AT THE PARKLAND HEALTH CENTER IN FARMINGTON, MISSOURI ON MARCH 1, 2002 HAVING REACHED THE AGE OF SEVENTY-SEVEN YEARS, SEVEN MONTHS AND ELEVEN DAYS.
HE IS SURVIVED BY ONE DAUGHTER; RHONDA COX AND HUSBAND DENNIS OF FARMINGTON, MISSOURI, ONE SON KENNETH CRAIG DUNLAP OF CALEDONIA, MISSOURI, TWO GRANDCHILDREN KYLE COX OF PENSACOLA, FLORIDA AND CODY DUNLAP OF IRONTON, MISSOURI AND ONE NEPHEW ALBERT "BUTSIE" DUNLAP OF POTOSI, MISSOURI AND BY MANY OTHER RELATIVES AND FRIENDS.
