Eleanor C. MacDonald
Eleanor C. MacDonald, age 77, of Fort Walton Beach, Fla., died Monday, Feb. 19, 2001, in a Pensacola, Fla., hospital.
She was born in Athol, Mass., on July 23, 1923, and lived in Fort Walton Beach since 1998. She attended St. Marys Catholic Church.
Survivors include her sons, Thomas MacDonald, Michael MacDonald, John MacDonald, Timothy MacDonald, Mark MacDonald, Steven MacDonald and William MacDonald; daughters, Mary Thibault, Diane Barnes, Joan Varner and Patricia Mallet; brother, Thomas Superchi; 23 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services and burial will be at Witty's Funeral Home, 158 S. Main St., Orange, Mass., and burial will be in Getsemane Cemetery in Athol.

Hazel Marie Williams
Hazel Marie Barlow Williams, age 77, passed away Monday, Feb. 19, 2001, at Silvercrest Manor in Crestview, Fla.
She was born in Okaloosa County, Fla., on April 20, 1923, and was a resident of Crestview.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Chipley D. and Lena M. Adams Barlow; sister, Cora L. Johnson; brother, Samuel E. Barlow Sr.; and grandson, Cordell S. Richards.
She is survived by her daughter, Ruby J. and husband Cary S. Richards of Holt, Fla.; brother and sister-in-law, Charlie D. and Irene Barlow of Bonifay, Fla.; sister-in-law, Evelyn P. Barlow of Crestview; grandson, Cary P. Richards of Tinker Air Force Base, Okla.; two great-granddaughters of Crestview; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation with friends and family will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Feb. 23, followed at 2 p.m. by funeral services conducted from the chapel of Whitehurst Funeral Home with the Rev. Cary Richards officiating. Burial will follow in Almarante Cemetery in Laurel Hill, Fla.

Yacha Vanvors
Yacha Vanvors, age 67, of Shalimar, Fla., passed away Feb. 18, 2001, at a local hospital.
She was born on June 3, 1933, in Kobe, Japan, of Korean parents, and returned to Korea after eight years. She had resided here for many years. She was a member of the Gulf Coast Seagulls RV Club and First Baptist Church of Fort Walton Beach.
Mrs. Vanvors is survived by her loving husband, Roderick Vanvors of Shalimar; stepdaughter, Eva Thorn of Denver; and numerous friends.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Thursday at Emerald Coast Funeral Home with Pastor Howard L. Gates Ph.D. officiating. Interment will follow at 2 p.m. in Barrancas National Cemetery in Pensacola, Fla.
A visitation was held from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Erma Gilmer Bruce Lee, age 78, of Tallahassee, Fla., died Sunday, Feb. 18, 2001, in Tallahassee.
Funeral services were conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 20, at Seminole Baptist Church in Tallahassee, with burial in Evergreen Cemetery in Brooks County, Ga.
The family received friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Lee was a native of Brooks County and lived in Tallahassee since 1946. She was a bookkeeper for Bruce's Appliance and Refrigeration Services for 35 years and a former member of the American Business Women's Association.
Survivors include her husband, Delma Lee; sons, Gil Bruce and Douge Bruce, both of Tallahassee, and Terry Bruce of Fort Walton Beach, Fla.; daughter, Sandra Kirkland of Tampa, Fla.; brothers, Stanley Gilmer of Thomaston, Ga., James Gilmer of Tallahassee, Ray Gilmer of Boston, Ga., and Reese Gilmer of Boynton Beach, Fla.; sister, Mildred Berner of Boston; 11 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

James T. White Sr.
James Thomas White Sr., age 63, of Fort Walton Beach, Fla., passed away unexpectedly at his home Thursday, Feb. 22, 2001.
He was born on June 22, 1937, in Portsmouth, Va., son of the late Clarence Edward White. Mr. White retired from the U.S. Air Force with the rank of technical sergeant after serving his country honorably for 20 years, and was the recipient of the Bronze Star.
After retirement from the Air Force, Mr. White worked at Fort Walton Beach Health and Rehabilitation and was also the former owner of PDQ Printing.
He enjoyed fishing, woodworking, and working at his church. Mr. White was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Shalimar, Fla.
He is survived by his wife, Joan of Fort Walton Beach; daughters, Teresa Fite and husband Chad of Germany, and Melissa Turenne and husband Paul of Starke, Fla.; son, James T. White II of Fort Walton Beach; and grandchildren, Scot, Brian and Michelle Fite, Christopher Paulk, Curtis White and Caitlyn Turenne.
Memorial services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday, Feb. 26, at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Shalimar with Vicar Ray Angerman officiating.

Cecil Wayne Moody
Cecil Wayne Moody, age 82, of Crestview, Fla., went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, Feb. 21, 2001.
He was born in Recter, Ark., on Jan. 10, 1919, to Woody and Annie Moody, and was living in this area for many years. He was retired from the American Can Co., and was also a member of Oak Dale Baptist Church of Crestview.
He is survived by his wife, Doris Moody; son, W.D. Lowery and wife Beverly of Birmingham, Ala.; daughters, Barbara Byrd of Fort Walton Beach, Fla., and Maxine Weekley of Laurel Hill, Fla.; stepsons, Mike and wife Glenda Fought of Crestview, Pat and wife Donna Fought of Mary Esther, Fla., Mark and wife Teresa Fought of Fort Walton Beach, and John and wife Sally Williams of California; stepdaughters, Terry and husband Wayne Zweber of Winter Haven, Fla., and Robin and husband Robert Bridges of Crestview; sister Opal Reynolds of Parker, Ariz.; eight grandsons; 12 granddaughters; 14 great-grandsons; 10 great-granddaughters; and one great-great-granddaughter. He was preceded in death by his son-in-law, John Frank Weekley.
A memorial service will be held at Oak Dale Baptist Church of Crestview at 3 p.m. Sunday.

Alwynne Joseph Holroyd
Alwynne Joseph Holroyd, age 79, of Fort Walton Beach, Fla., passed away Feb. 22, 2001, in a local hospital.
He was born on Sept. 30, 1921, in Richmond Hill, N.Y., and had resided in Fort Walton Beach since 1984, having moved here from Harrisburg, Pa. Mr. Holroyd was retired from Pennsylvania Railroad, having worked as an inspector. He was a veteran of the Army Air Corps, having served during World War II. Mr. Holroyd was a member of the Railroad Club; Philatelic Society; and was a charter member of Calvary United Methodist Church in Harrisburg.
He is survived by his wife, Geraldine Marie Holroyd of Fort Walton Beach; daughters, Sharon Bates and husband Jerry, Janice O'Brien and husband Rusty, all of Jacksonville, Fla.; son, Bruce Holroyd and wife Donna of Harrisburg; and seven grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Patricia Marie Brenton.
The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 26, at Emerald Coast Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. Monday at First Christian Church Disciples with the Rev. Jimmy Scarborough, pastor, officiating.

John R. Eschbach
John R. Eschbach, age 89, formerly of Choctaw Beach, Fla., passed away at his residence in Sterling House, Niceville, Fla., on Friday, Feb. 23, 2001. He was born on Mar. 12, 1911, in Pottstown, Pa. He had been a resident of the local area since 1972, when he moved here from Redding, Pa. While working in Redding, Pa., he was the owner/manager of a tool equipment rental business. He was a World War II veteran. John was instrumental in the building and establishment of the Tri Village Volunteer Fire Department in Choctaw Beach. He loved woodworking and enjoyed making toys for children. He also liked to fish.
He was preceded in death by his wife Ethel M. Eschbach in 1990.
Survivors include his son Edward M. Eschbach and wife Cindy of Crestview, Fla.; daughter Jeanette Devos and husband Robert of Webster, N.Y.; sister Betty Sterner of Shillington, Pa.; grandchildren Krista, Kimberly, Robert, James and Laura; three great grandchildren and many special friends.
Graveside services will be conducted on Tuesday, Feb. 27, 2001, at 2 p.m. at Sunset Cemetery, Valparaiso, Fla., with Hospice Chaplain Frank Dole officiating.

Barbara Baska entered into rest on Thursday, Feb. 22, 2001, at her residence in Niceville, Fla., unexpectedly.
Barbara was born on April 2, 1932, in Detroit, Mich., the daughter of the late Harold R. and Jean C. Ziegler Smith.
Survivors include four sons Daniel R. and wife Karen Mashike of Kingston, Mich., Patrick and Patricia Baska and Philip B. Baska all from Valparaiso, Fla., and Joseph P. and fianc�e Lanise Davis of Rocky Bayou, Fla.; two brothers Harold and wife Rosemary of Canton, Mich., and Harvey Smith also of Canton, Mich.; sister Bonnie and Chuck Robertson of the state of Fla.; and four grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 27, 2001, at McLaughlin Twin Cities Funeral Home, 1405 John Sims Parkway, Niceville, Fla., with the Rev. John Underdahl officiating.
Internment will be private.

Lisa Crawford Harrison
Lisa Crawford Harrison, age 34, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, Feb. 22, 2001, at her home.
The daughter of Lee M. and Ruth Dossett Lipscomb, she was born in Jackson, Miss., Feb. 14, 1967. Lisa was an area resident for 15 years and was a R.N. at Twin Cities Hospital.
Survivors include her parents Lee and Ruth of Niceville, Fla.; her husband David at home; her daughters Melissa and Jessica Crawford at home; three stepsons Jeremiah, Joshua and Justin Harrison also at home; brother Lee and his wife Erin Lipscomb of Panama City, Fla.; and two stepsisters Leigh and husband William Hill of Baton Rouge, La., and Suzanne Richardson of Orlando, Fla.
Visitation will be held on Monday, Feb. 26, at the First Baptist Church of Niceville from 6 to 8 p.m.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 27, 2001, at the First Baptist Church of Niceville at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Gerald Reeves officiating.
Burial will take place at Heritage Gardens Cemetery, Niceville, Fla.

Edward Eugene Price
Mr. Edward Eugene Price, age 73, of DeFuniak Springs passed away suddenly Thursday evening Feb. 22, 2001, in the local hospital. Mr. Price was born May 22, 1927, in Bedford, Va., the son of H.K. and Mosetta Lankford Price. He was a veteran of World War II having served his country with the United States Navy. After spending many years in retail management with Sears and Montgomery Ward, he and his family moved to DeFuniak Springs in 1974 where he managed "Mr. B's" for a number of years. He then became chief of security at Perdue Farms where he worked for the past twenty years. He was a Master Mason of Escambia Lodge 15, held his Scottish right in Pensacola and was a member of Bahia Shrine Temple of Orlando. Gene was a member of Glendale Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include his wife, Patricia Jernigan Price of DeFuniak Springs; daughter Lisa Denson and husband Bob of Decatur, Ala., son Gary Price of DeFuniak Springs; sisters Miriam Kirby of Calif., and Dorothea Steinsiek and husband Walter of Pensacola; and three grandchildren, Justin Price, and Meghan and Brent Denson.

Dorothy M. Colucci
Dorothy M. Colucci entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, Feb. 21, 2001, at Sterling House in Niceville, Fla.
She was 91. Born March 13, 1909 in Brooklyn, N.Y., she lived most of her life in N.Y. before moving to the area a year and a half ago to be with her family. She was preceded in death by her first husband Edwin Christiansen, who passed away in 1983.
Survivors include her second husband Adam Colucci of Brooklyn, N.Y.; two daughters Dorothea and Husband Bill Frederick of Florence, S.C., and Lois and husband Hal Warvari of Niceville, Fla.; three grandchildren Donna and husband David Shaw, Dawn and husband Ross Whiton, and Robin and husband David Constanza; and four great grandchildren Lynette, Christiana, Zoe, and Thalia.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 26, at McLaughlin Twin Cities Funeral Home, 1405 John Sims Parkway, Niceville, Fla.

Leslie Michelle Gilley
Leslie Michelle Gilley, age 48, of Crestview, passed away Friday, Feb. 22, in Fort Walton Beach. She was born in St. Petersburg, Fla., on Jan. 30, 1953, and had lived in Crestview for the past 16 years. Ms. Gilley was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Crestview.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Gina Swartz and Tracey Hebard.
Survivors include her mother Bette Masters and father Jack Swartz; three daughters Tracey and husband Chris McClellan, Elizabeth and husband James Watts, and Suzanne Gilley; son Michael Gilley Jr.; brother Christopher and wife Sherry Swartz; and four grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 26, from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints with Brother Aaron Tew officiating. Burial will follow in the Old Bethel Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 3 until 5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Ms. Gilley will lie in state at the church one hour prior to the funeral service.
