FUNERAL SERVICES WERE CONDUCTED 2:00 PM ON TUESDAY, JULY 16, 2002 AT THE MOORE MEMORIAL CHAPEL WITH PASTOR VERNON LONG OFFICIATING. BURIAL WAS IN THE SUNSET HILL CEMETERY UNDER THE DIRECTION OF MOORE FUNERAL HOME, POTOSI.

SHE IS SURVIVED BY HER FATHER, WALTER MELTON OF OKLAHOMA AND MOTHER, DOROTHY MELTON OF BRAINBRIDGE, INDIANA, HER HUSBAND, RICKEY BOURISAW OF MINERAL POINT, MISSOURI, THREE DAUGHTERS, TABITHA BLOUNT AND HUSBAND DENNIS OF MINERAL POINT, MISSOURI, SERINA COUCH OF POTOSI, MISSOURI, BOBBIE CASNER AND HUSBAND CLINT OF MINERAL POINT, MISSOURI, ONE SON, JOHN COOK AND WIFE AMANDA OF FARMINGTON, MISSOURI, TWO SISTERS, THELMA SULLIVAN AND JOYCE REZZER, NINE BROTHERS, RICHARD MELTON, HERSCHEL MELTON, WALTER MELTON, JR., MICHAEL MELTON, JOSEPH MELTON, DONALD MELTON, DAVID MELTON, WAYNE MELTON AND SCOTT MELTON, NINE GRANDCHILDREN AND TWO GREAT GRANDCHILDREN, THREE STEP CHILDREN, LINDA FAY BOYD, TRACY MOSES AND DAVID BOURISAW, AND DEAR FRIEND JANET MARTIN OF POTOSI, MISSOURI. CHECK ENJOYED MANY THINGS IN LIFE. HE LOVE TO WATCH BASEBALL ON T.V. AND HIS FAVORITE TEAMS TO WATCH WERE THE CARDINALS AND THE CUBS. CHECK ENJOYED HUNTING ALL TYPES OF ANIMALS AND LOVED TO VISIT WITH HIS GRANDCHILDREN AND GREAT GRANDCHILDREN.
VISITATION FOR CHECK WAS HELD SUNDAY, AUGUST 4, 2002 FROM 5:00 P.M. TO 9:00 P.M. AND MONDAY, AUGUST 5, 2002 FROM 8:30 A.M. TO 10:00 A.M. AT THE MOORE FUNERAL HOME, POTOSI, MISSOURI. A FUNERAL MASS WAS CELEBRATED MONDAY, AUGUST 5, 2002 AT 11:00 A.M. AT THE ST. JOSEPH CATHOLIC CHURCH, BONNE TERRE, MISSOURI WITH FATHER JOHN SCHNEIDER CELEBRATING. MUSIC FOR THE MASS WAS PROVIDED BY MARK FARRELL. BURIAL WAS IN THE ST. JOSEPH CATHOLIC CHURCH CEMETERY WITH SHAWN CRAIG, BRADLEY CRAIG, CODY AUBUCHON, DAVID AUBUCHON, VERNON BOURBON AND JASON MESEY SERVING AS PALL BEARERS. ARRANGEMENTS WERE UNDER THE DIRECTION OF THE MOORE FUNERAL HOME, POTOSI, MISSOURI.

ANNETTA FAE SHANER
ANNETTA FAE SHANER OF POTOSI, MISSOURI WAS BORN AT POTOSI, MISSOURI ON FEBRUARY 25, 1933. SHE WAS THE DAUGHTER OF THE LATE CURTIS AND MARIE (DUNLAP) BENSON. ANNETTA DEPARTED THIS LIFE AT GEORGIAN GARDENS NURSING HOME IN POTOSI, MISSOURI ON AUGUST 2, 2002 HAVING REACHED THE AGE OF SIXTY- NINE YEARS, FIVE MONTHS AND FIVE DAYS.
ANNETTA WAS UNITED IN MARRIAGE TO ROBERT SHANER ON FEBRUARY 18, 1951 IN POTOSI, MISSOURI AND TO THIS UNION TWO CHILDREN WERE BORN. SHE IS SURVIVED BY HER HUSBAND, ROBERT SHANER OF POTOSI, MISSOURI, ONE SON, ROGER SHANER AND WIFE CAROLYN "PIE" OF POTOSI, MISSOURI, TWO SISTERS, LORETTA BENSON OF ST. LOUIS, MISSOURI AND BEULAH GRAHAM, ONE GRANDSON, BRYAN SHANER AND WIFE KRISTINA OF VENICE, ITALY AND ONE STEP GRAND DAUGHTER, CRISTINA CHAMBERLAIN OF POTOSI, MISSOURI, MOTHER- IN-LAW, GLADYS BARROWS OF POTOSI, MISSOURI, SISTER-IN-LAW, GLADINE BENSON OF POTOSI, MISSOURI AND SEVERAL NIECES, NEPHEWS AND OTHER RELATIVES AND MANY FRIENDS. IN ADDITION TO HER PARENTS SHE WAS ALSO PRECEDED IN DEATH BY ONE SON, STEVEN MITCHELL SHANER AND ONE BROTHER, CURTIS "SONNY" BENSON.
ANN AS SHE WAS KNOWN BY MANY HAD A SMILE TO SHARE WITH ALL SHE MET. SHE ENJOYED PLAYING BINGO AND SUPPORTED THE POTOSI ELKS LODGE IN ALL OF ITS ACTIVITIES. PRIOR TO HER RETIREMENT, ANN WAS THE MANAGER OF EMPIRE GAS, A BOOK KEEPER FOR NORTHSIDE MOTORS INTERNATIONAL DEALERSHIP IN POTOSI AND BONNE TERRE AND WORKED FOR THE BONNE TERRE WESTERN AUTO. SHE ENJOYED SPENDING TIME AT THE HAPPY DAYS SENIOR CITIZENS CLUB AND PARTICIPATING IN THE MANY ACTIVITIES. SHE WAS A LONG TIME MEMBER OF THE BISMARCK V.F.W. #6949 AUXILIARY.

WILLARD DEPARTED THIS LIFE AT THE DES PERES HOSPITAL IN ST. LOUIS, MISSOURI ON AUGUST 9, 2002 HAVING REACHED THE AGE OF EIGHTY-FIVE YEARS, ELEVEN MONTHS AND TEN DAYS.
