Melba Elora Northcutt Tubb, 82
McMinnville resident and Northcutt's Cove native Melba Elora Northcutt Tubb, 82, died Jan. 31 at River Park Hospital after an extended illness.
A retired Carrier employee and a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church, she was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Tubb, her parents Sam and Zelma Northcutt, one sister Sammie Smartt, and one brother Ralph Northcutt.
She is survived by daughter and son-in-law Bonny and Randal Brandon; son and daughter-in-law Gary and Debbie Tubb, all of McMinnville; grandchildren Chris Grissom of Dayton, Tenn.; Elaine Martin, Shannon Perry, Brent Tubb, all of McMinnville; brother Waymon Northcutt, and six great grandchildren.
Services will be at High's Funeral Home. Arrangements were not complete at press time.

E.C. (Bill) Griffith, 85
McMinnville resident and DeKalb County native E.C. (Bill) Griffith, 85, died Jan. 29 at Cookeville Regional Hospital after an extended illness.
A maintenance supervisor with McMinnville Housing Authority and a member of First Church of God, he served his country in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
The son of Charles and Elsie Yeargin Griffith, he is survived by his wife, Alberta Willard Griffith; daughters and sons-in-law, Anita and Richard Haley of McMinnville, Alicia and David Griffith of Morrison; son, Anthony Griffith of McMinnville; son and daughter-in-law, Marshall and Janet Griffith of Lebanon; sister and brother-in-law, Eleese and J.M. Haston of Sparta; several nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. today at High's Chapel with Rex Boles officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. View Cemetery with military graveside rites administered by VFW Post 5064 and American Legion Post 173. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until time of service today at High's.

Marvin Pascal Crothers, 63
Madison resident Marvin Pascal Crothers, 63, died Jan. 30
Retired from the Pirelli Tire Company after 32 years of service, he is survived by his wife, Rosalinda Crothers; son, Vincent Crothers of Macon, Ga.; stepchildren, Stella Sandoval, Laurie and Donny Bond; brothers, Donald Moore Crothers of McMinnville and Malcolm Crothers of Arizona; grandchildren, Darren Fluellen, Lana Walkup and Taylor Barton.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Spring Hill Funeral Home with Norman Slate officiating. Burial will follow at Spring Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held form noon until 4 p.m. and 6 to 9 p.m. today at Spring Hill Funeral Home on Briley Parkway.

Elma Rhea Wooten, 84
Davidson County resident and Grundy County native Elma Rhea Wooten, 84, died Jan. 31 at Vanderbilt Hospital.
A homemaker and member of Christ United Methodist Church, she was preceded in death by her husband Dillon Earl Wooten in 1992. She was the daughter of Oscar and Ethel Stott Rhea and was also preceded in death by daughter Wilma Earline Wooten.
She is survived by daughter and son-in law Evelyn and Charles Haley of Nashville; sisters Gladys Winton, Frances Baker and Joyce Scott, all of McMinnville, and Vonda Lewis of Nyssa, Ore.; brothers Aud, Lawson and Elijah Rhea, all of McMinnville, several nieces and nephews.
Services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at High's Chapel with James Paul Tramel officiating. Burial will follow at Wesley Chapel Cemetery. Visitation is Saturday from 11 a.m. until the time of the service
