Mrs. Cookenour was a loving and devoted wife, mother and friend to all who knew her. She was a great Christian lady and dedicated to the Lord.

Mrs. Huston was retired having worked in food service at East Tennessee State University.

He was a member of Solomon's Temple Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by two daughters, Regina Ireson and Teresa Ireson; his parents, Samuel C. Ireson and Mary Alice Holmes Ireson; and four brothers.

Sarah Jane Lee, Lebanon, Va.
LEBANON, Va. - Sarah Jane Lee, daughter of the late Robert E. and Marguerite W. Lee, passed away at her home near Lebanon on Sunday (July 7, 2002).
Sarah Jane received her B.S. in forestry from Stephen F. Austin State University and her M.A. in health education from the Virginia Polytechnic University. She was a health educator for the Virginia Department of Public Health, the Cumberland Plateau Health Department in Lebanon for over 12 years. Prior to her career in public health, she worked as a forester in Kenbridge, Va. and elsewhere.
She was a committed member of the Bahai faith. In her work as health educator, she was deeply involved with and devoted to the Appalachian AIDS Coalition, as well as doing important work on cardio-vascular risk reduction, childhood obesity, and smoking cessation.
She was a supporter of the Appalachian Trail, devoting time to trail repair and upkeep through the Mt. Rogers Trail Club and an enthusiastic amateur radio operator and a member of the Russell County Amateur Radio Club. Her tireless energy and devotion to her several communities will be sorely missed by all who knew her.
Sarah Jane is survived by her sister, Candida Lee, Springfield, Pa. and her brother, Steven Lee, Geneva, N.Y.

Steven W. Lott, 43, Kingsport.
KINGSPORT - Steven Willard Lott, 43, went to be with the Lord Wednesday (July 10, 2002) at his home after a period of declining health.
Steven was born Jan. 5, 1959 in Knoxville, having moved to Kingsport in 1969. He was a former manager for the Greyhound Bus Lines and a Title Abstractor. He was an accomplished piano player and has played for various churches including Restoration Church, First Assembly of God, Emmanuel Baptist, Kingsport Baptist Temple, and Springdale Baptist. He also took an active part in church plays in the area. He also played on the Showboat in plays for the United Coal Co. and loved drama, movies, music and the theaters; all of this was his life.
During his declining health, he never lost his sense of humor, a kind smile or the love he had for his family, especially his father and grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his only brother, Jimmy Albert Lott in 2001.
Steven is survived by his three daughters, Kristen, Allison and Tessa Lott; grandsons, Ethan Daniel Byington and Taylor Steven Borty; and his parents, Willard and Rachel (Melton) Lott, all of Kingsport.

Mr. Robinette was a veteran of the U.S. Army and a member of Church Hill VFW Post No. 9754.
He was of the Baptist faith.

KINGSPORT - Kathleen "Nannie'' Vicars Vanzant, 89, formerly of Konnarock Road, died Wednesday afternoon (July 10, 2002) at Greystone Health Care Center in Blountville.
She was born in Scott County, Va. (Nickelsville), where she spent her younger years. For all of her adult life, she resided in Kingsport.
She was a member of St. Matthews United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Vanzant; an infant son; and her parents, D.J. Vicars and Minnie Gilmer Vicars.
Surviving are two daughters and sons-in-law, Judy Harr and husband Howard, Kingsport and Reva Frye and husband Dale, Piney Flats; four grandchildren, Mike and wife Gina Harr, Gary and wife Cheryl Harr, Deana and husband Gary West and Daren and wife Mary Clyde Lawson; five great-grandchildren, Derika, Kacie, Kevin, Madeline and Logan.
Calling hours are from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Carter-Trent Funeral Home, downtown Kingsport.
Services will be conducted at 8 p.m. today in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Joel Campbell officiating.
Graveside services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday at East Lawn Memorial Park. Family and friends attending the graveside service are asked to meet at the cemeery at 10:50 a.m.
Pallbearers will be Mike Harr, Gary Harr, Daren Lawson, Kevin Lawson, Gary West and Stan Jeter.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the St. Matthew's United Methodist Church, 2505 Nathan St., Kingsport.

Graveside services for Rebecca Ann Willis, 60, 109 Wampler St., Kingsport, who died and was welcomed by the Lord as a new angel to heaven on Tuesday (July 9, 2002), will be at 1 p.m. today at Old Kingsport Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be James M. Kendall, John C. Ramey, Billy W. Shepherd, James Woods, Junior Willis and Randy Artrip.
