CHURCH HILL - Roy Travis (T-Bone) Beckner, 18, 110 Pridemore Street, Apt. 124, went to be with the Lord Saturday (Jan. 5, 2002) at his residence.
Born in Kingsport, he resided in Church Hill most of his life. He had attended Volunteer High School and was employed by Mountaineer Restaurant.
Travis was of the Pentecostal faith, and was a loving and caring person.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Don Johnson; paternal grandfather, Roy Beckner; stepsister, Melinda Strong; two uncles, Eddie Johnson and Rocky Johnson.
Surviving are his mother, Donna Kay Johnson, Church Hill; father, Larry Daniel Beckner Sr. and stepmother, Phyllis Beckner, Kingsport; sister, April Michelle Brooks, Kingsport; stepsister, Ashley Strong, Kingsport; brother, Larry Allen Beckner, Kingsport; half brother, Larry Daniel Beckner Jr., Kingsport; stepbrother, Eddie Lee Strong, Kingsport; maternal grandmother, Edith Locklear, Georgia; paternal grandmother, Reba Beckner, Kingsport; very special niece and nephew, Terra Michelle Brooks and Michael Aaron Brooks; several aunts, uncles and cousins; and a very special friend, Travis Tate.

KINGSPORT - Charles David Clendenen, 57, passed away Saturday (Jan. 5, 2002) at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center.
Born on August 3, 1944 in Miami, Fla., he graduated from Melbourne High School and attended Belmont College in Nashville. He served four years in the U.S. Army with the Military Police and was in the Reserves in Kingsport.
For over 20 years, he worked with his family at Smith Mechanical Contractors Inc. and was a master plumber. He served as a TAPHCC president twice and a national officer for years.
Mr. Clendenen was a 32nd degree Mason, Shriner, and Jester. He was a Baptist.
Surviving are his wife, Arbeutia Clendenen; daughter, Sorcha Clendenen and fiancé, Danny Lee Bush; son, Shyloc Clendenen and fiancée, Elisha Ramsey; brother, Micheal Clendenen; granddaughter, Charlezleigh Bush; grandson, Damion Clendenen; and many nieces and nephews.

Born in Wise County, Va., he was employed at AFG Blue Ridge Glass Plant and had worked at Warren Funeral Home in Weber City, Va., and part-time for Carter-Trent Funeral Homes, until ill health forced his retirement.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and was of the Baptist faith.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William K. Frazier and Etta Arnold Frazier; brother, J.W. Frazier; sister-in-law, Irene Hart Frazier.
