WINFRED NORMAN MILLER OF BELGRADE, MISSOURI, WAS BORN OCTOBER 3, 1911, IN PARNELL, MISSOURI, A SON OF THE LATE GEORGE ELMER AND AMERICA ELLEN (FOLAND) MILLER. WINFRED DEPARTED THIS LIFE AT GEORGIAN GARDENS NURSING HOME ON APRIL 21, 1999, HAVING REACHED THE AGE OF EIGHTY-SEVEN YEARS, SIX MONTHS AND EIGHTEEN DAYS.
WINFRED WAS UNITED IN MARRIAGE TO NORA HAYES ON APRIL 22, 1939, IN RICHWOODS, MISSOURI AND TO THIS UNION THREE CHILDREN WERE BORN.
WINFRED IS SURVIVED BY HIS WIFE, NORA L. MILLER OF BELGRADE, ONE SON, NORMAN MILLER AND WIFE KAREN OF ST. LOUIS, ONE DAUGHTER, PATRICIA E. YOUNT AND HUSBAND GARY OF BELGRADE, ELEVEN GRANDCHILDREN, FIVE GREAT GRANDCHILDREN, ONE BROTHER, VICTOR MILLER AND WIFE THELMA OF RAVENWOOD, MISSOURI, ONE SISTER, ROSALIE BRAND OF CHESTER, NEW YORK AND BY MANY OTHER RELATIVES AND FRIENDS. IN ADDITION TO HIS PARENTS HE WAS ALSO PRECEDED IN DEATH BY ONE SON ROBERT L. MILLER, ONE BROTHER, AUSTIN MILLER, THREE SISTERS, NAOMI TUTTLE, EUNICE MADDEN AND RACHEL BERG.
WINFRED WAS A DEVOTED CHRISTIAN AND ATTENDED THE ST. JOHN CATHOLIC CHURCH IN BISMARCK, MISSOURI.
WINFRED'S LIFE OF HARD WORK LEAD HIM DOWN THE PATH OF MANY PROFESSIONS BUT ALL WERE ASSOCIATED WITH THE FARMING INDUSTRY. HE HAD SERVED AS ASSISTANT HERDSMAN FOR RALSTON PURINA AT AN EXPERIMENTAL FARM IN GRAY SUMMIT, MISSOURI. WINFRED LOVED WORKING HARD IN HIS FIELDS TO PRODUCE QUALITY PRODUCTS. HE WAS ABLE TO FIND HUMOR IN EVERY SITUATION. HE LOVED NATURE AND FARMING WAS NOT A JOB BUT HIS LIFE LONG LOVE. HE ALWAYS THOUGHT OF EVERYONE ELSE BEFORE HIMSELF.
VISITATION WAS HELD THURSDAY, APRIL 22, 1999, FROM 5:00 P.M. TO 9:00 P.M. AT THE GUM & SON FUNERAL HOME IN POTOSI.
A FUNERAL MASS WAS CELEBRATED FRIDAY, APRIL 23, 1999, AT 10:00 A.M. AT ST. STEPHENS CATHOLIC CHURCH WITH FATHER JIM FRENCH OFFICIATING. BURIAL WAS IN ST. STEPHENS CATHOLIC CEMETERY UNDER THE DIRECTION OF GUM & SON FUNERAL HOME, POTOSI.
SERVING AS PALLBEARERS WERE, DWAYNE A. MILLER, WRAY P. MILLER, GREG L. YOUNT, RYAN SCOTT YOUNT, JOE L. ALLEN AND JOHN RIMMER.

DONALD GEORGE LITTON OF POTOSI, MISSOURI WAS BORN SATURDAY, JANUARY 14, 1933 IN POTOSI, MISSOURI A SON OF THE LATE MICHAEL WILLIAM LITTON AND EDITH PEARL (WILLIAMS) LITTON. DON DEPARTED THIS LIFE THURSDAY, JULY 24, 2003 AT THE WASHINGTON COUNTY MEMORIAL HOSPITAL AT THE AGE OF SEVENTY YEARS, SIX MONTHS AND TEN DAYS.
DON WAS UNITED IN MARRIAGE TO GLENDOLA NICHOLSON NOVEMBER 21, 1951 IN POTOSI, MISSOURI. THEY WERE BLESSED TO HAVE FIFTY-ONE YEARS TOGETHER WITH THEIR FAMILY AND FRIENDS.

DON WAS A MEMBER OF THE POTOSI SOUTHERN BAPTIST CHURCH. HE SERVED THE COMMUNITY AS A BOARD MEMBER OF THE WASHINGTON COUNTY MEMORIAL HOSPITAL FOR FOURTEEN YEARS. DON SERVED AS CHAIRMAN OF THE BOARD AND AS INTERIM ADMINISTRATOR OF THE HOSPITAL. HE WAS A CHARTER MEMBER OF THE WASHINGTON COUNTY/MINERAL AREA RESCUE SQUAD. DON DROVE A SCHOOL BUS FOR THE POTOSI R-3 SCHOOL DISTRICT. DON WAS A RETIRED AUTO WORKER FOR THE CHRYSLER CORPORATION.
DON ENJOYED THE MANY GIFTS OF MOTHER NATURE, HE WAS ALWAYS READY TO SPEND TIME FISHING AND RELAXING IN THE COUNTRY SIDE. HE LOVED TO SPEND TIME IN HIS GARDEN.
DON HAD A GREAT LOVE FOR THE WELL FARE OF HIS FELLOW PERSON, ALWAYS WILLING TO HELP, SERVE OR DEDICATE HIS SELF AND TIME TO THE COMMUNITY. HE WILL BE REMEMBERED AND SADLY MISSED BY ALL WHO KNEW HIM.

LAVERN ENJOYED HUNTING IN THE WOODS WITH HIS BOYS AND FRIENDS. HE WAS AN AVID GARDNER AND ENJOYED HIS VEGETABLES AND FLOWERS. LAVERN ENJOYED DOING CARPENTRY WORK. HE LOVED TO TAKE TIME AND LISTEN TO AND SING GOSPEL MUSIC AND ATTEND CHURCH.
LAVERN HAD A VERY SPECIAL PLACE IN HIS HEART FOR HIS GRANDCHILDREN AND ENJOYED SPENDING TIME WITH EACH OF THEM.

SERVING AS PALLBEARERS WERE BILL ATKINSON, FRANK ATKINSON, DON LAWSON, JAMES HANKLE, DONALD DICUS, RANDY BENSON AND ROY DALE EVANS.

WAYNE ROLLIN JOHNSON OF CADET, MISSOURI WAS BORN DECEMBER 4, 1954 IN TIFF, MISSOURI A SON OF THE LATE JOSEPH NARY AND MARTHA BEULAH (CAIN) JOHNSON. WAYNE DEPARTED THIS LIFE AT HIS HOME MONDAY, JULY 28, 2003 AT THE AGE OF FORTY-EIGHT YEARS, SEVEN MONTHS AND TWENTY-FOUR DAYS.
WAYNE IS SURVIVED BY THREE SISTERS, JEANETTE HAMLIN OF HOUSE SPRINGS, MISSOURI, MARTHA SCHAEFFERKOETTER AND HUSBAND BENNY OF HIGH RIDGE, MISSOURI AND MARY WICKER AND HUSBAND LARRY OF CADET, MISSOURI; SIX BROTHERS, DANIEL JOHNSON AND WIFE LIL OF ESTHER, MISSOURI, RANDALL JOHNSON AND WIFE JOYCE OF TIFF, MISSOURI, LINDELL JOHNSON OF TIFF, MISSOURI, DONALD JOHNSON AND WIFE SUSIE OF HIGH RIDGE, MISSOURI, RICHARD JOHNSON OF TIFF, MISSOURI AND JAMES JOHNSON OF TIFF, MISSOURI; A VERY DEAR AND SPECIAL FRIEND MARTHA MERCER OF CADET, MISSOURI AND BY MANY OTHER RELATIVES AND FRIENDS. EDNA LUCY CRESSWELL OF POTOSI, MISSOURI WAS BORN THURSDAY, DECEMBER 19, 1901 IN OKLAHOMA. SHE WAS THE DAUGHTER OF THE LATE JOHN AND LAURA (KINDRICK) AYRES. EDNA ENTERED THE GATES OF HEAVEN TUESDAY, JULY 29, 2003 AT THE AGE OF ONE HUNDRED AND ONE YEARS, SEVEN MONTHS AND TEN DAYS.
EDNA WAS UNITED IN MARRIAGE TO THE LATE FRED CARR RICHARDS IN 1919 AND THEY WERE BLESSED TO HAVE FOUR CHILDREN BORN TO THIS UNION. FRED DIED JULY 17, 1941. EDNA THEN married WILLIAM J. CRESSWELL IN MID SUMMER OF 1942, HE PRECEDED EDNA IN DEATH IN 1964.
EDNA IS SURVIVED BY ONE DAUGHTER IRENE DECLUE OF POTOSI, MISSOURI; HER GRANDDAUGHTER, WHOM SHE RAISED, DOROTHY LORE AND HUSBAND WAYNE OF POTOSI, MISSOURI AND NINETEEN ADDITIONAL GRANDCHILDREN; MANY GREAT GRANDCHILDREN AND GREAT GREAT GRANDCHILDREN; MANY DEAR AND SPECIAL FRIENDS AT THE GEORGIAN GARDEN NURSING HOME AND BY MANY OTHER RELATIVES AND FRIENDS. IN ADDITION TO HER PARENTS AND HUSBANDS, EDNA WAS ALSO PRECEDED IN DEATH BY ONE DAUGHTER EVELYN WEISS; TWO SONS FRED RICHARDS AND MALCOLM RICHARDS; ONE BROTHER BRUZ AYRES; ONE GRANDCHILD, TOMMY RICHARDS; TWO GREAT GREAT GRANDCHILDREN, MATTHEW LORE AND JONETTE RICHARDS.
EDNA BECAME ACQUAINTED WITH HARD WORK EARLY IN LIFE GROWING UP ON FARMS IN OKLAHOMA AND KANSAS. HER MOTHER SUFFERED A STOKE AND AT A YOUNG AGE EDNA BECAME THE WOMAN OF THE HOUSE CARING FOR HER BED RIDDEN MOTHER AND THE NORMAL HOUSEHOLD DUTIES. EDNA AND HER FAMILY WENT THROUGH THE DEPRESSION YEARS. A DIFFICULT TIME AS IT WAS FOR EVERYONE. SHE WORKED AND TOOK IN WASHING AND IRONING TO HELP SUPPORT HER FAMILY. AT TIMES SHE TORE APART HER OLD CLOTHING AND MADE HER CHILDREN CLOTHES. ON ONE OCCASION SHE MADE THE GIRLS COATS, WHEN THEY WENT TO SCHOOL THE TEACHERS RAVED OVER THE BEAUTIFUL COATS WHICH HAD BEEN MADE FROM HER OWN COAT. EDNA WORKED FOR DR. GEORGE CRESSWELL, HER BROTHER-IN-LAW FOR OVER TWENTY YEARS. UPON HIS RETIREMENT SHE THEN WORKED A SHORT TIME FOR DR. KIRBY TURNER.
EDNA WAS A MEMBER OF THE POTOSI UNITED METHODIST CHURCH, SERVED AS A PINK LADY AT THE WASHINGTON COUNTY MEMORIAL HOSPITAL, SERVED FOR YEARS AS COMMITTEE WOMAN FOR THE DEMOCRATIC PARTY AND WORKED DILIGENTLY IN THE EARLY DEVELOPMENT OF THE SAYERS SENIOR CENTER.
EDNA WAS THE MOST AMAZING WOMAN ONE COULD EVER MEET. SHE HAS BEEN AN INSPIRATION TO SO MANY PEOPLE WHOSE LIVES SHE HAS TOUCHED.
VISITATION WAS HELD THURSDAY, JULY 31, 2003 FROM 5:00 P.M. TO 9:00 P.M. AND FRIDAY, AUGUST 31, 2003 FROM 10:00 A.M. TO 1:00 P.M. AT THE MOORE FUNERAL HOME, POTOSI, MISSOURI.
