KINGSPORT - Reva Chase Cox, 90, formerly of Rock Springs community, died at 1 p.m. Thursday (Nov. 30, 2000) at Sunbridge Hillside after an extended illness.
A lifelong resident of Sullivan County, she was a member of Double Springs Baptist Church.
She was a homemaker.
She was a daughter of the late Gent and Hattie Hite Chase.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Haskel K. Cox; a sister, Mabel Tedrow; a brother, Ralph Chase.
Surviving are two daughters and son-in-law, Lois Jean Haney, Kingsport, and Phyllis and Bill Harris, Jonesborough; three sons and daughters-in-law, Morris and Wanda Cox, Jonesborough, Cletis and Shelby Cox, Kingsport and Jim and Terry Cox, Sulphur Springs; eight grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; one brother, Leonard Chase and wife, Fern, Kingsport.
Calling hours are from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the Fall Branch Chapel of Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Homes and also at the home of a son, Morris Cox, 1436 Fordtown Road, anytime.
Services will be conducted at 8 p.m. Saturday in the Fall Branch Chapel of the funeral home with the Rev. Tony A. Cox, Dr. Edward Dillowe and the Rev. Joe Shelton officiating.

Graveside services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Sunday at Tri-Cities Memory Gardens.

KINGSPORT - Gladys A. Daehler, died Thursday (Nov. 30, 2000) at Wexford House.
She had been a resident of Kingsport for the past 13 years.
Miss Daehler was born in Sublette, Ill., and worked for a number of years with Grigsby Grunow Manufacturing Company and Marshall Field and Company, both in Chicago, Ill.
She was a member of the Church of God, Abrahamic Faith in Dixon, Ill.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert A. Daehler and Inez S. Daehler; one sister, Florence Rosenmeier; two brothers, Osmond Daehler and Arden A. Daehler.
Surviving are a nephew, Jim Rosenmeier, Kingsport; and a brother, Russell L. Daehler, Ormond Beach, Fla.Calling hours are from 7 to 8 p.m. today at Hamlett-Dobson Chapel downtown.

DUFFIELD, Va. - Jack Lee Dibble, 74, formerly of Lee County, Va., died Thursday (Nov. 30, 2000) at Baptist Hospital in Winston-Salem, N.C.
Born in Dekalb County, Ga., he was the son of the late Oscar Adel and Venice Rutledge Dibble. He was an attorney.

Mrs. Ford was a lifelong resident of Church Hill, and a member of Lyons Chapel A.M.E. Zion Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband; two children; five grandchildren; several brothers; and two sisters.

KINGSPORT - Charles L. Jones, 70, 120 Gravely Road, went to be with the Lord Thursday (Nov. 30, 2000) at Holston Valley Hospital and Medical Center after an extended illness.
Mr. Jones was born in Hawkins County and lived in the Kingsport area most of his life. He was dearly loved by all of his family. He was a wonderful husband, father, father-in-law, grandfather, great-grandfather and brother. He enjoyed tinkering with cars and working in his garage. Mr. Jones also enjoyed farming and woodworking. He contributed much of his talents to his church and its activity.
He was a member of Midway Baptist Church, Gate City, Va.
He retired from Tennessee Eastman Co. in 1986 after 33 years of service in the Acid Division.
Mr. Jones was preceded in death by his parents, Tommy and Emma Dykes Jones; sister, Dorothy Davis; one great-grandchild, Tylisha Phillips.

BLOUNTVILLE - Fannie Ellen Jones, 93, died Friday (Dec. 1, 2000) at Wellmont Hospice House of Bristol, following an extended illness.
Mrs. Jones was a native of Sullivan County, and a daughter of the late Noah and Mary White Slaughter. She was preceded in death by three sons and two brothers.
She was a member of Blountville Christian Church.
Surviving are two daughters, Mary G. White, Blountville, and Katherine Carrier, Bristol; five sons, George and Lewis Jones, both of Taylor, Mich., Ernie Jones, Kingsport, Paul Jones, Blountville and Phillip David Jones, Greenville; 22 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren.

BIG STONE GAP, Va. - Sally Dora Analee Phillips, 77, went to be with the Lord on Thursday (Nov. 30, 2000) at St. Mary's Hospital in Norton, Va.
She was born Jan. 17, 1923 and was a lifelong resident of Wise County, Va. She accepted Christ at an early age. She was a faithful member of Irondale Primitive Baptist Church, where she served as clerk for over 30 years.
She was preceded in death by her father, Worley Bledsoe; her mother, Lillie Cox Bledsoe; one son, Rex Allen Phillips; and one grandson, Junior Carroll.
Surviving are her husband, William Clyde Phillips; three daughters, Cora Carroll and Joan Bowen, Big Stone Gap, Va., and Margaret Robinette, Duffield, Va.; four sons, Junior Phillips, Frankie Phillips, and Robert Phillips, all of Big Stone Gap, Va., and Howard Phillips, Bloomingdale, Tenn.; 18 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Pierce was a native of Sugar Grove, Va., but most of her life she made her home here in Kingsport. She was a homemaker and a member of Mount Zion Holiness Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Emanuel Armfield Thompson; three brothers, Grover Thompson, Ernest Crockett Thompson and Walter Thompson; and five nieces and nephews.
Surviving are her husband, Mr. Fred Pierce, Greystone; five stepsons, Jerry, Bill, Sylvester, Timothy, all of Georgia and Michael Pierce, Huntsville, Ala.; three stepdaughters, Mrs. Helen Phillips and Mrs. Daisy Pierce, both of Kingsport and Mrs. Ruby Jane Beard, Morristown; several nieces and nephews.

PENNINGTON GAP, Va. - Bobby L. Rhea, 71, passed away Friday (Dec. 1, 2000) at his residence.
Born in Lee County, Va., he was the son of the late Chauncey and Lelia Rhea. He retired as a machinist in Ohio and returned to Pennington Gap in 1988. He was a U.S. Army veteran during the Korean Conflict, and was a Mason.
Surviving are his wife, Ruth Rhea, Pennington Gap, Va.; one son, Michael Lee Rhea, Minot, N.D.; one daughter, Linda Rhea, Buckeye, Ariz.; two stepdaughters, Gloria Hobbs, Kingsport and Robin Green, Corydon, Ind.; two brothers, Jack Rhea, Jacksonville, Fla., and Larry Rhea, Canton, Ohio; five grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday in Sturgill Funeral Home Chapel, Pennington Gap, Va., with the Rev. Bud Stidham officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the funeral service.

COEBURN, Va. - Estelle H. Robinette, 92, died Thursday (Nov. 30, 2000) at St. Mary's Hospital in Norton, Va.
She was born in Wise County, Va., the daughter of the late George P. and Nannie Elizabeth Holbrook Robinette.
Miss Robinette was preceded in death by two sisters, Sylvia Elswick and Alma Dickson; and four brothers, Cecil Robinette, Rollie Robinette, Larson Robinette and Calvin Robinette.
She was of the Baptist faith.
Surviving are two sisters, Effie Brooks, Coeburn, Va., and Fonda Hamm, Indianapolis, Ind.; two brothers, Hansford Robinette, Coeburn, Va., and Landon Robinette, Norton, Va.; and several nieces and nephews.

She was owner and operator of Stewart Roto-Rooter of Kingsport.

GRAY - Thomas Oliver Templeton, 70, 537 Old Stage Road, was called home by his God almighty Thursday (Nov. 30, 2000) at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center in Kingsport.
Mr. Templeton was a veteran of the Korean War serving in the United States Air Force. He retired from Eastman Chemical after 34 years of service as a chemical operator. He was a member of the Invisible Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Wrightly Templeton and Rosa E. (Musick) Templeton; and one brother, Troy Templeton.
