VERNELLE WAS UNITED IN MARRIAGE TO THE LATE EDMOND FRENCH ON NOVEMBER 6, 1940, IN POTOSI, MISSOURI, TO THIS UNION FOUR DAUGHTERS WERE BORN.
VERNELLE IS SURVIVED BY FOUR DAUGHTERS, JANICE FRENCH OF VALENCIA, CALIFORNIA, JUDITH BOYER FITZGERALD, OF PARK HILLS, JULIA COFFMAN OF JERSEYVILLE, ILLINOIS, MARY COLEMAN AND HUSBAND RUSSELL OF IRONDALE, TEN GRANDCHILDREN, NINE GREAT GRANDCHILDREN, ONE SISTER, EDITHE HALL OF MARAPOSA, CALIFORNIA AND BY MANY OTHER RELATIVES AND FRIENDS. IN ADDITION TO HER HUSBAND AND PARENTS SHE WAS ALSO PRECEDED IN DEATH BY THREE SISTERS, HILDRED HELM, HARRIET TOWE, HELEN PETTY, TWO BROTHERS, ROBERT SOMA AND JOHN SOMA.
VERNELLE WAS A LONGTIME MEMBER OF THE IRONDALE METHODIST CHURCH. SHE WAS AN AVID SPORTS FAN AND ENJOYED RELAXING WATCHING A GOOD BASEBALL OR BASKETBALL GAME. VERNELLE WAS KNOWN FOR HER GREEN THUMB AND LOVED SPENDING TIME GARDENING. CROCHETING WAS A TALENT SHE HAD AND SHARED HER MANY CROCHETED ITEMS WITH BOTH FAMILY AND FRIENDS.
VERNELLE WAS A KIND AND LOVING MOTHER, GRANDMOTHER, GREAT GRANDMOTHER, SISTER AND SPECIAL FRIEND. SHE WILL BE SADLY MISSED AND LOVINGLY REMEMBERED BY ALL WHO KNEW HER.
VISITATION WAS HELD TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 1, 2000, FROM 3:00 P.M. TO 9:00 P.M. AT MOORE FUNERAL HOME IN IRONDALE.
FUNERAL SERVICES WERE CONDUCTED WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 2, 2000, AT 2:00 P.M. AT THE MOORE IRONDALE CHAPEL WITH REVEREND MICHAEL LOCKHART OFFICIATING. BURIAL WAS IN CALEDONIA METHODIST CEMETERY UNDER THE DIRECTION OF MOORE FUNERAL HOME, IRONDALE.
SERVING AS PALLBEARERS WERE, JAMIE TURNER, STAN BOYSTER, DEE LAPLANT, JOHN FRENCH, DENNIS FRENCH AND CORY FRENCH.

NANCY ADELL LE CLERE OF LEADWOOD, MISSOURI, WAS BORN APRIL 2, 1948 IN ST LOUIS, MISSOURI, A DAUGHTER OF THE LATE FREDERICK AND ELIZABETH (SIRK) MOON. NANCY DEPARTED THIS LIFE AT MINERAL AREA REGIONAL MEDICAL CENTER ON JANUARY 22, 2000, HAVING REACHED THE AGE OF FIFTY-ONE YEARS NINE MONTHS AND TWENTY DAYS.
NANCY WAS UNITED IN MARRIAGE TO DANIEL J. LE CLERE ON JUNE 21, 1993, IN RICHWOODS, MISSOURI.
NANCY IS SURVIVED BY HER HUSBAND, DANIEL LE CLERE OF LEADWOOD, THREE SONS, RALPH PETTUS, TIM PETTUS AND DANIEL PETTUS ALL OF FLORIDA, ONE DAUGHTER, NORMA PETTUS OF CODY, WYOMING, FIFTEEN GRANDCHILDREN, TWO BROTHERS, MIKE MOON OF MISSOURI, KIRBY MOON AND WIFE KATHY OF FESTUS, THREE SISTERS, DEE KORN OF LEADWOOD, ROSEMARY CAVENDER OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS, MESA ALLEN OF MARYSVILLE, Louisiana AND BY MANY OTHER RELATIVES AND FRIENDS. IN ADDITION TO HER PARENTS SHE WAS ALSO PRECEDED IN DEATH BY ONE INFANT DAUGHTER, CRISTINA STAR PETTUS.
NANCY ENJOYED FISHING AND COLLECTING ANGEL STATUES. SHE HAD A GREAT LOVE FOR BOTH FAMILY AND FRIENDS AND WAS KNOWN FOR HER HEART OF GOLD. NANCY WAS ALWAYS KNOWN FOR HER WILLINGNESS TO HELP ANYONE AT ANYTIME. ONE OF HER GREATEST ENJOYMENTS WAS SPENDING TIME WITH HER PARAKEET "BUBBA".
VISITATION WAS HELD TUESDAY, JANUARY 25, 2000, AT 10:00 A.M. AT MOORE FUNERAL HOME IN POTOSI.
FUNERAL SERVICES WERE CONDUCTED TUESDAY, JANUARY 25, 2000, AT 11:00 A.M. AT MOORE CHAPEL WITH REVEREND KEVIN FITZGERALD OFFICIATING. BURIAL WAS IN HORINE CEMETERY UNDER THE DIRECTION OF MOORE FUNERAL HOME, POTOSI.

KENNETH "JOE" GERALD CLARK OF IRONDALE, MISSOURI, WAS BORN JULY 2, 1918, IN ST. LOUIS, MISSOURI, A SON OF THE LATE OTTO H. CLARK. JOE DEPARTED THIS LIFE AT MINERAL AREA REGIONAL MEDICAL CENTER ON FEBRUARY 1, 2000, HAVING REACHED THE AGE OF EIGHTY-ONE YEARS, SIX MONTHS AND THIRTY DAYS.
JOE WAS UNITED IN MARRIAGE TO THE LATE MARY LUCILLE (DENNY) CLARK ON APRIL 1, 1947, IN DESOTO, MISSOURI, TO THIS UNION THREE CHILDREN WERE BORN.
JOE IS SURVIVED BY TWO SONS, CARL F. CLARK AND WIFE KATHY OF FESTUS, GERALD "JERRY" LYN CLARK AND WIFE JANICE OF CASEY, ILLINOIS, ONE DAUGHTER, RHONDA KAY THURMAN AND HUSBAND JIM OF GALENA, ILLINOIS, TEN GRANDCHILDREN, TEN GREAT GRANDCHILDREN, ONE NEPHEW, LYN HERGET OF HIGH RIDGE AND BY MANY OTHER RELATIVES AND FRIENDS.
JOE WAS A MEMBER OF THE IRONDALE FIRST BAPTIST CHURCH AND OF THE IRONDALE MASONIC LODGE #143 AF & AM. JOE ENJOYED COLLECTING ANTIQUES, DOING WOODWORKING PROJECTS AND OIL PAINTING. JOE LOVED TO TAKE TIME OUT OF HIS DAY AND VISIT WITH BOTH FAMILY AND FRIENDS. A MAN OF MANY WORDS, OPEN ARMS AND ALWAYS WEARING A CHEERFUL SMILE.
A KIND AND LOVING FATHER, GRANDFATHER, GREAT GRANDFATHER, UNCLE AND SPECIAL FRIEND WHO WILL BE SADLY MISSED AND LOVINGLY REMEMBERED BY ALL WHO KNEW HIM.
