Steve Houston Ridgway, age 79, of Pleasanton, Texas, passed away Friday, November 21, 2003, in Pleasanton, Texas. He is survived by his wife, Genne Ridgway of Pleasanton and daughters, Bonny Schimelpfening and Susan Ridgway both of San Antonio. He is also survived by his sisters, Belle Shiplette of Austin and Kitty McCullough of San Antonio as well as four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held at Hurley Funeral Home in Pleasanton from 2:00pm to 8:00pm Sunday, November 23, 2003. A wake will be held Sunday, November 23, 2003 from 6:30pm to 8:00pm at the Verdi Community Center. The funeral service will be at St. Andrew's Catholic Hall at 2:00pm Monday, November 24, 2003. Interment will be at the Tumlinson Cemetery in Leming, Texas.

He is survived by his mother, Estefana Herrera; daughters, Teresa Stewart and Melinda Garza and sons, Adolph Herrera, Jr., IV, Danny Ray Herrera and John Christopher Herrerra. He is also survived by his sisters and brothers, Helen Leja, Juana Guerra, Carmen Lambaria, Lydia Casanova, Jimmy Herrera, Rojelio Herrera and Robert Herrera as well as his fifteen grandchildren and his former wife Lucy Alexander.
