NORFOLK - Annie D. “Annie Loise” Brown, 65, of the 800 block of Pecan Point Road, passed away Jan. 11, 2008, in Sentara Leigh Hospital. She was born April 25, 1942, to the late Sarah and Fred Covington in Wilson, N.C. She was a graduate of Booker T. Washington High School, Norfolk. Annie retired after more than 20 years of service with King Koil.
She leaves to cherish her memory her husband, Robert D. Brown of Norfolk; two daughters, Aleasa Brown of Norfolk and Angela Cash (Joe) of Virginia Beach; two grandchildren, Arkia Brown and Aniya Brown, both of Norfolk; one sister, Lydia Doxie of Norfolk; two stepchildren, Allain Norman and Syiiaha Dale; and a host of other relatives and friends.
A funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Friday in the chapel of Metropolitan Funeral Service, 7246 Granby St. The Rev. Tyrone Johnson will officiate. Interment will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park, Chesapeake. Family and friends will assemble at 200 W. 37th St., one hour prior to the service for the procession to the chapel.
