Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM on Friday, March 18th, 2005 at the Sacred Heart Church, Atchison, Ks., with Fr. Gerard Senecal. OSB as celebrant. Burial will follow in the Mt. Velda M. Bingham was born on April 24, 1928 in Iola, KS., the daughter of William C. and Bertha M. (Jones) Bingham. She graduated from Atchison High School in 1946. Mrs. Brull had worked as a clerk, office assistant for the Atchison County Treasurer's office for several years. She was a member of the Sacred Heart Church, and enjoyed sewing, bowling, her flower gardening, and especially her family.
She was married to Joseph A. Brull on Sept. 13, 1946. Mr. Brull preceded her in death on July 12, 1996. Her parents, a stepfather, Jessie McGee, two sons, Michael J. and Thomas M. Brull, and two daughters; Vicki L. Hernandez, and Kathryn Kay Brull also preceded her in death. Survivors include a son; Christopher W. Brull, St. Joseph, MO., a sister, Mrs. Vivian Zyskowski, Iola, KS., six grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren.
FEERER, Donald F. Feerer, 96 years old, Overland Park, KS, died Saturday, March 12, 2005, at the Villa St. Francis nursing home, Olathe, KS.

Don was born in Nortonville, KS, on February 21, 1909. Mr. Feerer resided in Mission Hills for 30 years prior to moving to the Grand Court in Overland Park in 1993. He was a graduate of Park College in Parkville, Mo., 1931, and received an M.A. in 1932 from the University of Iowa at Iowa City, IA. On May 13, 1937, he married Alice C. 'Bitsy' Enright in St. Joseph, MO. He was initially employed at the Artcrafts Engraving Co. in St. Joseph, MO., and subsequently became Vice-President of Stalcup Outdoor Advertising Co., Kansas City, MO. Later he was the General Manager of the Sign Division of Federal Sign and Signal Corp. and Corporate Vice-President, Blue Island, IL. Mr. Feerer was a member of: Rotary Club of Kansas City 13 (a 50 year, plus, member); past President, Kansas City Breakfast Club; and, a member of the National Sign Association. Don loved reading, learning, creative design and selling.
Mr. Feerer was preceded in death by his wife, his parents Calvin H. and Mabel E. (Speck) Feerer, and a brother, Marcel C. Feerer.
Survivors include: three sons, Michael, Elmhurst, IL; Donald, Reseda, CA; Timothy and wife Anne, Houston, TX; and, daughter Jane Deyoe, Trumbull, CT.; six grandchildren: Scott and his wife Trish Feerer; Shelli (Feerer) Nelson and her husband Mark; Grant Deyoe; Nicholas Feerer; Jennifer and Michele Feerer; a great-grandchild, Maximus Nelson; a cousin, Virginia Marshall; three nieces: Kevin Fuller, Susan Ryan, and Nancy Welsch; and a grandnephew, Kile Enright.
BRAMBLE, Emma Jean Bramble, 80, Atchison, KS passed away Sunday, March 13, 2005 at St. Luke's Hospital on the Plaza.

Mrs. Bramble was born October 26, 1924 in Whiting, KS the daughter of Roy Arthur and Gertrude Ethel (McBride) Kuhnert. She was a graduate of Weston High School. She sold Amway for a number of years. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. Emma loved gardening and flowers and was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
She married Arnold Bramble on January 16, 1943 in Atchison, KS. He preceded her in death in 1997. She is also preceded in death by a son Arnold E. Bramble in 1995, infant sons Kenneth, Charles and Joseph and infant daughers Cathy, Julie and Teresa. Brother Ray A. Kuhnert and an infant brother; sister Ethel Kuhnert and her parents.
Survivors include her grandson James Bramble of Olathe, KS and great grandson Samuel Bramble. Brother Elmer Kuhnert and his wife Elizabeth of Rushville, MO; sister Louise Shockey and her husband Lewis of Atchison, KS. Daughter in law Connie Bramble-Sloan of Kansas City, MO and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
WEISHAAR, Paul N. Weishaar, 90, lifelong resident of Nortonville, KS died Saturday, March 12, 2005 at Cray Senior Manor in Atchison.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, March 15, 2005 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Nortonville, KS with Fr. Jon Hullinger, celebrant. Burial will be in the St. Joseph Church Cemetery, Nortonville. Mr. Weishaar was born February 16, 1915 the son of Frank and Amie (Gerety) Weishaar in Nortonville, KS. He attended St. Joseph Grade School and graduated from Nortonville High School. He was a farmer and stockman all of his life but also had worked for the Kansas Department of Transportation (KDOT) for over 10 years. He also delivered the Topeka Capital Journal Newspaper in the Nortonville area for 10 years. Mr. Weishaar was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Nortonville, Knight of Columbus Council 2093 of Nortonville and had served on the Farm Bureau Board.
Paul and Doris Louise Schneider were married at St. Joseph's Church in Nortonville. She survives of the home. Additional survivors include two sons, Tom Weishaar of Atchison, Michael and his wife, Jean Weishaar, of Topeka, KS; two daughters, Susan Bednar and her husband, Bob, of Atchison and Patty Conway-Leetch and her husband, Don, of Pomona, CA; 8 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren.
Mr. Weishaar was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Homer Weishaar and Walter Weishaar.
CAUTHEN, Estella M. Cauthen, 80, Atchison, KS died Friday, March 11, 2005 at Heartland Regional Medical Center in St. Joseph, MO.

Mrs. Cauthen was born on December 6, 1924 in Atchison, Ks to Edward Albert and Erma Marie (Servaes) Hanf. She attended St. Patrick's Grade School and Atchison County Community High School. She was previously employed at Messina Hotel & Laundromat and Electra Manufacturing, and worked for a number of years as a machine operator at Smith Chenille in Atchison, Ks. Estella enjoyed fishing in her younger years and spending time with her grandchildren, great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
She is survived by her daughters Pamela J. Enzbrenner and husband Jerry and Paula Theurer and husband Phil both of Atchison. Brother Kenneth Hanf and wife Marlene, Atchison. Sisters; Freida Navinskey, Atchison, KS and Shirley Livingston and husband Raleigh, Lancaster, Ks. Seven grandchildren, three great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Cauthen was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Albert Hanf, and infant grandson B.J.
MARTIN, Opal Grace Martin, 96, of Atchison, KS. passed away into heaven on Tuesday, March 8, 2005 at the Atchison Senior Village.

Opal Grace Cox was born on April 5, 1908 in Denton, Kansas the daughter of Leslie D. and Julia (Gullickson) Cox, Sr.. She attended Denton grade school and graduated from Denton High School. She was known as the Florence Nightingale of doctor assistants. She went to worked for Dr. Whitaker for 13 years prior to going to Dr. Charles Brady in 1955. She retired from nursing in January of 1973. She was also known as the ' The Quickest and most 'Painless' needle in Atchison.
She had also worked at the Stevens Drug Store, Atchison and was the Recreational Supervisor in Atchison County, managing the WPA back preschool for children of working mothers. After retiring, she also worked at the Byrd Memorial CO. Mrs. Martin was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church, the Atchison Hospital Auxiliary, and enjoyed cooking and her family.
She was married to Thomas Burchett up to his death of spinal meningitis in 1930. She later married G.H. 'Hap' Martin on Feb. 24, 1961. Mr. Martin preceded her in death on Oct. 10, 1988. Her parents, a son, Thomas Burchett, Jr., 1933, a brother, Leslie D. Cox, Jr. and two sisters; Twila Scott, and Ludelda Cowan, also preceded her in death. Survivors include a son, Francis E. Burchett, Atchison, KS., a sister, Mrs. Leon F. 'Dorothy' Gardner, Atchison, KS., two grandsons, Paul F. and Les D. Burchett, Atchison, a great granddaughter Kelsey, several nieces, nephews and many friends..
DAVIS, James Francis Davis, 76, Denton, KS passed away Tuesday, March 08, 2005 at his home.

Mr. Davis was born January 7, 1929 in Holton, Kansas the son of Frank L. and Josephine (McColgin) Davis. He was a U.S. Army veteran. A member of the Masonic Lodge #449, the Moonshiner's Shrine Unit and a 50 year member of Banner Grange of Holton. James was a farmer most of his life and retired in 1993 from Triad Industries.
James married Sarah A. Schulsky on October 16, 1954 in Topeka, KS. She survives of the home. Additional survivors include his sons Thomas L. Davis and his wife Amy of Denton; and Steven Davis and his wife Pat of Denton. Daughter Ruth Forney and her husband Dane of Whitecloud. Grandchildren Shiloh, Shelby, Scarlett and Brennan Davis. McCLELLAN, Curtis W. McClellan, 57 years old, of Atchison, KS, died Monday, March 7, 2005 at his home following a lengthy illness.

Mr. McClellan was born on July 10, 1947 in Sallis, Mississippi, the son of Walter Kyle and Christine (Dubard) McClellan. He graduated in 1965 from McAdams High School, McAdams, Mississippi and from Mississippi State University in 1971 with a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting. Mr. McClellan formerly worked for Durant Sports Wear, Durant, MS for 5 years. He managed manufacturing plants in Mississippi, Nebraska, and Tennessee for eight years for the Kellwood Company. Mr. McClellan worked for Todd Uniform Company, St. Louis, MO for 12 years and Uniforms to You in Chicago, IL for two years before moving to Atchison in 1995 and began working for Atchison Leather Products. He also was currently doing some consulting work for the Berger Company in Atchison. He was attending the Rushville Christian Church, was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Tennessee, and a member of the Gideon's.
He was married to Joan Frazure on Sept. 1, 1968 in Sallis, Mississippi. She survives of the home in Atchison. Additional survivors include a son and his wife, Jody and Whitney McClellan of Bentonville, AR; a daughter and her husband, Margaret Ann and Mike Black of Liberty, MO; his mother, Mrs. Christine McClellan of Sallis, MS; two brothers, Liary McClellan of Clinton, MS and Franklin McClellan, Barton, AR; a sister, Mrs. Janie Buford of Sallis, MS; three grandchildren, Daniel Curtis Black, Katie Beth Black and Ainsley Elizabeth McClellan; 15 nieces and nephews.

Cecilia R. Masingill was born on July 22, 1906 in Morrilton, Ark., the daughter of Grover C. and Cornelia Jane (Simon) Masingill. She graduated from the Wonderview High School, Morrilton, Ark.. She had formerly worked at the pancake mill, Atchison, then as a clerk for the Sears store, Atchison, and as a clerk in the Levin Furniture Store, Atchison, KS. Mrs. McCoole was a member of the First Baptist Church, Atchison, KS., the Independence Valley Club, and enjoyed swimming at the YMCA, gardening, and especially her family and grandchildren.
She was married to Homer T. McCoole, Sr. on Nov. 19, 1927 in Morrilton, Ark., Mr. McCoole preceded her in death on June 4, 1979. Additional survivor's include, a son Homer T. McCoole, Jr., and his wife, Dora, of Atchison, KS., two daughters; Mrs. Rena Lou Dillon, Lebanon, MO., and Mrs. Bobbie S. and her husband Frank O'Malley, St. Joseph, MO., one brother; Cleo Masingill, Morrilton, Ark., three sisters; Mrs. Ola Peterson, Atchison, KS., Mrs. Imogene de Franzo, Naugatuck, Conn., and Sue Kelley, Atchison, KS., nine grandchildren, and 21 great grandchildren. Her parents, and three brothers and a sister preceded her in death.
MORRIS, Joseph Lester Morris, 79 years old, of Atchison, Ks. died Wednesday, March 2, 2005 at the Atchison Medicalodge.

Mr. Morris was born on October 19, 1925 in Independence, KS., the son of George W. and Anna (Andres) Morris. He was a Merchant Marine veteran during World War II. Mr. Morris worked as a miller for Pillsbury's in Atchison for over 30 years. He retired in 1986. Mr. Morris was a member of the St. Joseph Church, Atchison, KS., and enjoyed woodworking, and fishing. He helped make cabinets for Habitat for Humanity here in Atchison.
Mr. Morris was married to Esther A. Stiles on April 3, 1943 in Troy, KS. Mrs. Morris survives of the home in Atchison. Additional survivors include; a daughter, Beverly and her husband Everet A. Ramsey, Green River, Wyoming, two brothers; Harold Morris, Kirksville, MO., and Jim Morris, Coffeyville, KS., a sister; Mrs. Marie Green, Coffeyville, KS., five grandchildren, and ten great grandchildren. His parents, a son, Daniel Morris, five brothers, and a sister preceded him in death.
BENITZ, Shirley A. Benitz, 73 years old of Effingham, KS. died Saturday, Feb. 19, 2005 at the Atchison Hospital.

Shirley A. Marr was born on November 30, 1931 in Atchison, KS. the daughter of William and Elda (Fazel) Marr. She attended St. Benedict's grade school, and graduated from the Mt. St. Scholastica Academy. Mrs. Benitz worked as a nurse's aid for over 15 years at the Atchison Hospital, and was the site director for the Town & County Senior Citizens Center, Effingham, KS. Mr. Benitz was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church, and enjoyed especially her children and grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by her family.
Shirley was married to Roger L. Benitz on July 21, 1955 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Atchison, KS., Mr. Benitz survives of the home, Effingham. Mrs. Biester was born March 14, 1947 in Atchison, KS the daughter of Walter and Gladys (Christian) Byrns. She was a 1965 graduate of Atchison High School. She had worked for Commerce Investment, the Berger Company and spent 19 years with Unit Rail Anchor Company in human resources. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church where she was a member of the Priscilla Guild, Pastors Adult Bible Class, secretary of the Elders Committee and volunteered for Loaves and Fishes. Linda enjoyed traveling and NASCAR racing, she especially loved her family and grandchildren.
She married Robert 'Bob' Biester on July 31, 1964 at Carol Baptist Church,Atchison, KS., he survives of the home. Additional survivors include her daughters Connie McRae and her husband David of Atchison, and Cindy Peuker and her husband Travis of Bendena. 3 grandchildren. Mother Gladys Byrns of Atchison; sisters Carrie Kurtz, and Rita Weatherford both of Atchison; and brother Herb Vaughan of St. Joseph, MO.
She was preceded in death by her father Walter Byrns.
